- NoDrama, on 10/12/2008, -0/+13Some think McCain might let it go until Wednesday night. I think he's got to do more of what he did Friday here in Minnesota, and lead by example. This is the USA for crying out loud, we do not condone and tolerate HATE. http://obamesque.wordpress.com/2008/10/09/final-mo ...
- LKnight, on 10/15/2008, -0/+1We don't - but McCain and Palin evidently live in a very different USA than some of the rest of us.
Of course, Palin wants Alaska to pull OUT of the USA anyway, so that says something, too.

- tcbishop12, on 10/12/2008, -1/+16When McCain gets his posterior royally handed to him on a plate by voters, historians will place his pathetic twisted candidacy as one of the most embarrassingly evil gambits in modern history. McCain-Rove-Schmidt-Davis will have earned a spot right next to Hitler in its utter depravity. Some legacy, McCain, you senile greedy old decrepit putz.
- fasda, on 10/13/2008, -0/+1I invoke Godwin's Law and ask that everyone digg tcbishop12's comment down.

- kismetropolis, on 10/12/2008, -0/+14Okay, I'd buy that as a genuinely unfortunate turn of phrase from anybody else, but come on. Walking right into it at this point, Sen. McCain. Charged language like that is not helping you come off as believable when you say that you want a respectful campaign.
Of course, all the mudslinging you started kind of puts the lie to you saying you wanted an honorable campaign, anyway, so what should we expect, right? - veled, on 10/12/2008, -0/+9WHAT.
Come on, I'm a frickin' Jew and I can tell that's just not right. - bluevillage, on 10/12/2008, -0/+9It's OK for him to say he's gonna whoop Barack's behind -- that's what fighters say before a fight. Far more revealing in this article is this:
Lindsay Graham says he'll offer new economic proposals at this debate: "along the lines of now's the time to lower tax rates for investors, capital gains tax, dividend tax rates...." How does McCain think that proposals like this will win over anyone outside his base? - novenator, on 10/13/2008, -0/+8From McCain's performance in the first 2 debates, this is quite an unrealistic boast. I know, you know, hell, even HE knows he will lose the next debate *and* this election.
- lawyernerd, on 10/13/2008, -0/+6Wait--now he's got ANOTHER economic proposal? Didn't he just cough up $300 billion in mortgage buyouts last week?
- LKnight, on 10/15/2008, -0/+1More new proposals every time we turn around. He's decided to propose removing the tax on unemployment benefits.
Shame he didn't suggest it before he fell behind in the polls, eh? Now it looks like...well... pandering.
Oh. Right.
Nevermind.

- 5celery, on 10/13/2008, -0/+3That's a relief - we know what his vows are worth.
- duckbillgates, on 10/13/2008, -0/+3a) If your campaign is trying to shy away from the racist overtones, is it really a great idea to say you will "whip" your African-American opponent?
b) "You know what"? What are we, six years old? - 7Mystery, on 10/13/2008, -0/+1Obama will hand his ass to him.
- holesome, on 10/13/2008, -0/+3Mixed messages which remind me that he's not in touch with MY reality.
- LKnight, on 10/15/2008, -0/+1The language choices, no matter if they are his own or scripted, reveal more about McCain than he ever imagined.
- kp998, on 10/15/2008, -0/+1Just another slur from an angry old man. We don't need a 72 year old running the country, been there, done that!
