Bush Official Who Just Resigned To Aid Obama
huffingtonpost.com — Better still: Go to district attorneys and turn over the 1,000,000 pages of criminal acts of the Cheney-Bush cabal. (picture here is of what Bush has been doing to us for 7 years)

- radiofrequency, on 07/06/2008, -24/+15Wasn't McCain supposed to be the continuation of Bush's failed administration and policies? Why is everybody from Bush's administration joining the Obama short bus?
- marx2k, on 07/07/2008, -7/+4Sudden growth of conscience? No, probably not.
- djholybolt, on 07/08/2008, -0/+1hahahah, Concience? I don't think they've ever heard that word, and with that being said ever mutter it.
- ozydingo, on 07/07/2008, -1/+15Burnett wasn't really a "Bush official" in the way that most (or at least I) would interpret that; he was an EPA official who is known for criticizing Bush. Given that and the timeline I would interpret this rather differently. Burnett resigned from his position after deciding no progress was being made with regards to environmental protection, and he apparently decided to throw in his money with who he may hope will allow the most progress to be made in that area.
Please don't react to titles alone, they suck. - rex84, on 07/07/2008, -3/+4"Why is everybody from Bush's administration joining the Obama short bus?"
Gotta make sure the Iran war is a continued success into the Obama presidency.- djholybolt, on 07/08/2008, -0/+1touche
- marx2k, on 07/07/2008, -7/+4Sudden growth of conscience? No, probably not.
- ChristPissed, on 07/06/2008, -6/+52note to donelson: Please limit the article description to actual information from the article, perhaps a paraphrasing or cut-n-paste of a few choice lines from the actual article. Use the comment section down here to add your own opinions and comments.
- KLBP, on 07/07/2008, -2/+20Agreed, the article description should be an accurate description of the article (hence it is called "description"). Comments and editorializing belongs in the comments section (hence it is called "comments").
- rezist, on 07/07/2008, -12/+6Enjoy your 832 friends you friend whore...lol you are a perfect example of why Digg sucks now. There are bigger problems than a botched article description.
- jabberwolf, on 07/07/2008, -9/+3It's from huffintonpost,
It has little if any content to it anyway. Just more conspiracy propaganda!- lajaw, on 07/08/2008, -1/+1Yawn..........................another huffinitpost article. yada, yada, yada.....................

- ozydingo, on 07/08/2008, -0/+1Well he's not. He's a former EPA official. He resigned from his position stating that no progress was being made under the Bush admin.

- ozydingo, on 07/07/2008, -3/+6Bernett can't really be considered a Bush crony. He was an EPA official who resigned after stating that there was no progress being made on environmental protection by the Bush administration.
- phybere, on 07/07/2008, -0/+2He's not - read the article...
- ozydingo, on 07/07/2008, -1/+2He's not what--he's not a bush crony, or he's not the guy I described?
- junkwheel, on 07/07/2008, -2/+3Read the article.
Then look up who the guy is.
At least do those two before branding somebody a crony.
To answer your question: He's not.
- chrissku, on 07/07/2008, -3/+8This might be the first time I've ever ignored a story and dugg a thumbnail.
- artofficial, on 07/07/2008, -6/+16That article had nothing to do with its description.
Huffington Poop. - Xihix, on 07/07/2008, -12/+33***** THE HUFFINGTON POST
- SundayBrunch, on 07/07/2008, -1/+2one million eh, how about two million?
- JonForTheWin, on 07/07/2008, -8/+6Obama wants to keep the troops in Iraq and invade Iran too (AHEM "leave it on the table" etc).
If I were a bush supporter I'd support obama too!- vinod1978, on 07/07/2008, -2/+6@JonForTheWin - Well that makes no sense whatsoever. Would you rather him tell Iran that under no circumstances we would never use military action against them? That would be incredibly stupid because even though we should solve this issue diplomatically we need to have the threat of military action in order to be taken seriously.
- metzner, on 07/07/2008, -8/+2http://youtube.com/watch?v=eBGIQ7ZuuiU
OMG ITS ON YOUTUBE TOO - r3negadeX, on 08/11/2008, -7/+16Boy, I never get sick of Obama propaganda from Digg's favorite liberal-biased blog! Also, I'm pretty sure OP is retarded.
- kublerross, on 07/07/2008, -3/+16so this guys takes 7 years to realize that Bush isnt helping the environment, jumps ship to the flavor of the month, and now we are supposed to hail him as some sort of champion of the environment?
umm ok yeah right. sounds like more business as usual in washington- vinod1978, on 07/07/2008, -1/+1@kublerross - No, I don't think the story really means that we should praise Jason Burnett, but the story was trying to show that even though Obama is a democrat he is getting republican support. I thought that was quite clear.
- russ3, on 07/07/2008, -0/+1Just too bad the article says the dudes always been a democrat....
- vinod1978, on 07/07/2008, -1/+1Right - but when this story is on TV - what do you think the average American will get from it? That someone from the Bush Administration is now supporting Obama - they won't listen to anything else. That was my point.
- vinod1978, on 07/07/2008, -1/+1@kublerross - No, I don't think the story really means that we should praise Jason Burnett, but the story was trying to show that even though Obama is a democrat he is getting republican support. I thought that was quite clear.
- JoCoProductions, on 07/07/2008, -8/+3Somehow I read this title as "Bush Official Who Just Resigned To Aid Osama".
Looks like I've got a case of the Mondays.... - Rugrash, on 07/07/2008, -3/+5If he had resigned from the Clinton administration he would've ended up in a park with multiple gun shot wounds to the head (ruled a suicide of course :-)
- SpartanErik, on 07/07/2008, -6/+7Good grief enough of these articles already.
I. Don't. Care.
Bury! - BikerDude69, on 07/07/2008, -8/+11This is because there is NO DIFFERENCE! Democrats and Republicans are two sides of the same coin. They trade off every few years to screw Americans a little on the right, then a little on the left. Either way, ALL of these politicians are CORRUPT! ALL OF THEM! WAKE UP WORLD! (Not just America). Obama is NOT your savior, sorry to say.
- vinod1978, on 07/07/2008, -4/+1@BikerDude69 - I don't believe any Obama supporter believes he is a savior, but he is the 1st politician in a long time to attract demographics that usually don't vote. Democrats & Republicans are NOT the same, no matter how many times people keep saying it on Digg. There are big differences. Democrats believe in government regulation, taxes for the rich should be higher then the middle class, and affirmative action should be fixed - not destroyed. Republicans believe that the rich should not be taxed highly so they will invest back into the country, security is more important then our civil liberties, that lawmakers should decide whether a woman can have an abortion. These are just a few differences. Liberals like myself are really waiting for another FDR - we'll see if that ever happens - but to saw there is no difference is just plain ignorant.
- diggduggDOOM, on 07/07/2008, -1/+1So what are you doing, or even suggesting, to solve the problem, BikerDude69?
I hope it's more than posting 'they're all the same' to various websites.- bmxxxxxxxx, on 07/07/2008, -0/+0@ Vinod.
The differences between Democrats and Republicans is nill. You proved this yourself. First of all, Taxes rarely ever change, and no matter who's in control in Washington they are always increasing for someone. Next, Affirmative Action... Who the ***** cares about Affirmative Action on the Federal level anymore? That's much more localized. Next, it's funny you mention Civil Liberties, Democrats and Republicans stripped us of those with the Patriot Act and the Military Commissions Act, no difference once again. And as for Abortion, nothing significant has changed in regards to abortion on the Federal Level since Roe V. Wade (Which didn't have anything to do with Congress) in 1973. If you're a true liberal (and want to stick with the Democratic Party) you would be backing Dennis Kucinich, or maybe a guy like Chris Dodd if you still want to sell out a little...
We will be at war with Iran no matter who is President. And we will have a permanent troop presence in Iraq indefinitely.
- bmxxxxxxxx, on 07/07/2008, -0/+0@ Vinod.
- loganro, on 07/07/2008, -7/+4Apparently this kid isn't too smart..he is aiding Barack Hussein Obama. What are people thinking when they help this disgrace to American soil?
- vinod1978, on 07/07/2008, -0/+4@loganro - and you believe you are smarter then Burnett? Maybe when you are able to post a comment that isn't a cowardly attack to instill fear because Obama's middle name is the same as Saddam's last name AND can actually argue a point that you believe in - you could surpass an IQ of 2.
- loganro, on 07/07/2008, -3/+0Why is it that when someone posts Obamas full name, someone automatically assumes that they are attacking Obama because of his name? I could care less about what his name is.
- vinod1978, on 07/07/2008, -0/+2You're not fooling anyone you bigot.
- wobegon, on 07/07/2008, -0/+1What's your middle name loganro? Mine's Flynn. Wanna start making some drunken Irish jokes, or try to say I'm sub-human?
Obama didn't pick his ***** name. Don't know where you're from, but here in the United States of America, it's a free country last time I checked.- loganro, on 07/08/2008, -1/+0Once again you stupid *****, I said nothing about his middle name. You guys are bashing me for stating his full name, and I have something against his middle name? I don't like him because I think that everything that comes out his mouth is a ***** lie, and the FIRST time someone says something bad about Obama you jump down their throat..and you call me a Bigot?
- wobegon, on 07/08/2008, -0/+1I didn't call you a bigot, vinod1978 did. And for the record, I don't agree with him.
With that said, if you don't like Obama then why do you bother writing out his full name? Do you do the same for John Sidney McCain III? I strongly doubt it.
- dagamer34, on 07/07/2008, -2/+2Err. what's with the photo right next to the link?
- GregofJersey, on 07/07/2008, -3/+1New from Steve Jobs & Co?
- jabberwolf, on 07/07/2008, -2/+2More random huffington post conspiracy... YAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- mzx639, on 07/07/2008, -8/+2So maybe Bush and Obama aren't so different after all.

- wobegon, on 07/07/2008, -1/+3Seems like the conservative AND liberal presses are in a competition to write the most sensational, slanderous, and misinformed political articles in history.
- junkwheel, on 07/07/2008, -4/+4Just a couple of months ago 99.9% of negative Obama comments were buried.
Now they're dug.
I wonder what will happen next?- ozydingo, on 07/08/2008, -0/+2It seems like a trend in digg politics. Someone becomes a fad, gets excessively large support in comments, regardless of actual merit, then people get bored and the few catchy negatives take over, regardless of how truly impactful or nonsensical-in-context those are. I don't normally like to insult Digg, but thank god we don't decide important politics with a digging system.
- junkwheel, on 07/07/2008, -3/+6This dude couldn't get ***** done because of the Bush administration so he left.
Obama has picked him because he feels he's gonna be good. Obama is bringing Reps into the fold, working with both sides, as he said he would.
/summary- artofficial, on 07/08/2008, -2/+2Yeah, then there will be a giant rainbow over the world when he's elected and everyone will join hands and sing songs of togetherness. Oh and by the way the snozzberries really do taste like snozzberries.
Have fun living in your bubble.- bluesman3535, on 07/08/2008, -2/+1As if the Bush bubble has been better? Most Americans are tired of wink wink military complex & corporate rule, the dishonesty, violence, over-controlling tendencies and rip-off of it. Any bubble but a Bush bubble now is what will win....sad to say Bush killed conservative values, with stupidity, ignorance, and possibly greed.
- ozydingo, on 07/08/2008, -0/+2I don't recall seeing junkwheel comment that Obama being elected will make the US a utopia. Why is it so common for digg>politics comments to overreact? If you can't answer that, why did you respond as if junkwheel is selling Obama as the Lord and Savior of the US government? This is very common in Obama-related comment threads on Digg these days. It seems more to me that junkwheel simply feels Obama is a good guy, and has a good chance of getting some good things done if elected.
- artofficial, on 07/08/2008, -3/+1I dont think you understood what I was saying.
There shouldn't be any bubble.- junkwheel, on 07/08/2008, -2/+1You brought the bubble.
- artofficial, on 07/08/2008, -2/+2Yeah, then there will be a giant rainbow over the world when he's elected and everyone will join hands and sing songs of togetherness. Oh and by the way the snozzberries really do taste like snozzberries.
- bmxxxxxxxx, on 07/08/2008, -2/+3So, a guy who hasn't done ***** to protect the environment is looking to keep his bureaucratic job with his next employer? Sounds like more of the same to me.
- bonhoeffer, on 07/08/2008, -3/+2Bush is pretty good about appointing persons to positions based on the expertise they bring to a task, not on their politics. As this article shows.
- waggdogg, on 07/08/2008, -2/+2Watch out Obama. This might be a Bush plant. He might be your leak. No, maybe he was Bush's leak.
- hoopy22, on 07/08/2008, -0/+0Digg, would you please remove your lips from Huffington's penis?
- weiboconan, on 07/08/2008, -0/+1one million...
- badfishmedia, on 07/09/2008, -0/+1Big deal. A surprising number of people who work in politics are not political. Politics is a business and if you have the skills, why not jump ship to a competitor. If you work in IT you could conceivably quit your job at Microsoft to get one at Apple. Same deal here.
