It appears to me to be a Tossup at this point. Too many variables Barr and Nader or one of the major candidates Imploding like that Gov from Back East...- Vigilo, on 07/06/2008, -3/+2What a waste of time both candidates are puppets and control nothing. Stop pretending you have a choice. Unless you are elite and i mean worth billions you mean nothing to either of them.
- gavinhudson, on 07/05/2008, -3/+11It doesn't seem like much of a race. Slow, older guy vs. Obama.
- gbudavid, on 07/05/2008, -1/+2Turtle and the Hare??
- user500, on 07/05/2008, -3/+9Obama's march to the right, as of late, isn't helping him any thats for sure!
- Herv3, on 07/05/2008, -4/+2He lost my vote. I still might end up voting for him, but right now it's in limbo.
- SheilaNoya, on 07/05/2008, -4/+12National polls don't mean much unless you're looking at a popularity contest. It's the electoral votes from each state that will determine the winner.
Real Clear Politics is projecting Obama easily wins, based solely on the number of electoral votes he'll get from the states he is carrying so far.
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/maps/obama ... - cyberdork, on 07/05/2008, -4/+2Holy crap, 8 years later and your American media still doesn't understand that it's NOT about the popular vote... Hope we don't get a bad surprise in November with Ohio and Florida going the wrong way.
- kreneec, on 07/06/2008, -0/+1Unfortunately, it appears that way doesn't it?
- VearlyVoften, on 07/05/2008, -4/+0FWIW, we've created an online poll that attempts to address the electoral vote and popularity issues separately with a model that balances the ease of online access versus the ease of online excess. The site has been passed along in a crowd that tends in one direction so far, so it is not-(yet)-reflective. The digg on it is at http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/Vote_Early_Vote_ ...

- knumbknuts, on 07/06/2008, -1/+3Throw out the Russian judge, so to speak, and the polls agree: Obama leads by 4-5.
He's also dominating in the prospective Electoral College vote.
If he can play prevent defense, the game will be his. It's a long time until November. He'll have to debate McCain a couple of times and maybe do a town hall meeting. He also has to stick to his platform.
McCain, meanwhile, would be best served by not dying.
One other thing: Obama has to deal with the Bradley effect and a core constituency that is not known for actually showing up at the polls. Meanwhile, McCain's core will have voted before the Early Bird specials. - Vigilo, on 07/06/2008, -3/+2Obama voted for the patriot act and supported the FISA bill and won't pull the troops out of Iraq at all. McCain wants a hundred year war and practically works for Israel 24/7.
Once again they make us think we have a choice when in actuality both are puppets of the banks and corporations. I'll get buried though because what i'm saying is true. We are useless eaters and the NWO run our lives we are being dumbed down with Aspartame and Fluoride. Almost everything we eat causes cancer.
Its eugenics people and they want us dead. Now its global warming that says that we need to control our carbon footprint while the Military Industrial complex uses depleted Uranium constantly and is radiating the planet but ok i'll shut up now because too much truth may cause you WAKE UP!- damian7, on 07/06/2008, -1/+0Wrong about the patriot act, Obama voted for an amendment on the patriot act which would weaken it, not increase it's executive powers.
- LMControl, on 07/07/2008, -3/+1A black man, especially a Democrat will never win the Presidency. You think I'm kidding? Right about this time 4 years ago you thought there was no way GWB would win a second term, did you? Come on... admit it, you know you were dumbfounded in November of '04. And now his lead is only 4-5 points? Yeah..... hope and change won't change the reality you're hoping for.
- dondara, on 07/07/2008, -0/+1What don't you just say "the ***** can't win". You aren't fooling anybody you redneck *****
- einrobstein, on 07/07/2008, -1/+1***** YOU FRANK!
- mdurwin, on 07/07/2008, -0/+04 points is not enough. Dems have been up by this many before every election.
