Government is the Real Impediment to Quality Health Care
michaeljohnsonfreedomandprospe… — Health care executive and Republican strategist Michael Johns today said that Democratic Presidential nominee Barrack Obama's plan to vastly expand the role of the federal government in American health care is likely to reduce, not increase, competitive pressures among health care payers, leading to higher, not lower, health care costs.

- hope4god, on 08/29/2008, -2/+24When ever a business has to pay higher Taxes they the Business has to lay off employees or raise prices on products and services.Obama clearly has the Change in Social Services that will hurt American Businesses not help, when Obama is talking about The Working people it is a direct Socialists point of view let me explain, it means Communisum, all people Rich, Poor, Middle Class who work for a living are Working people Capitalists. Top CEO's of major companies work 60-80 hrs a week and are experts in their field of choice, they didnt just get handed the job they went to school. university they worked hard to get there. Same goes for other people in different status of income its up to you and only you to pick a field that pays well, you study for it, make good decisions for you and your family. Obama wants to take that away and thats not Freedom, its Socialism. America deserves better McCain in 08
- MizSwann, on 08/29/2008, -3/+7hope4god - I dugg you up coz I agree with a l m o s t everything you stated, and I truly believe you are sincere. America does deserve better, but I'm convinced that the venerable Senator McCain is not theman to lead our country out of the mire we are in.
It's time for a R E A L change.....by voting in a third party.
BobBarr2008.com- deathsythe, on 08/29/2008, -1/+8The problem with partisan politics though- is you don't necessarily vote for the candidate that you feel is the man to lead, you vote against the man who you do not the most. Voting third party is just as bad as not voting, or even voting for the other guy.
You cannot be so delusional as to think that Barr can actually make it - he is only going to steal votes away from McCain and lessen his changes of beating Obama. If you were a true conservative you would understand this and bite the bullet on this one for the good of the country- for the sake of keeping Obama out of office.

- buddywlkr3, on 08/29/2008, -2/+18Americans have to choose between mediocre, costly and inefficient health care that is equally available to all (the Obama plan) or high quality medical care for those working, or covered, citizens and a safety net for those people who cannot afford or choose not to get health insurance. Remember that millions of people do not have health insurance simply because they don't want to spend the money on it, not because they can't get it. Obama would force everyone into the same plan and bankrupt the nation having the government handle it.
- hope4god, on 08/29/2008, -1/+4@Buddy, you are completely right, when I was 16 a loongg time ago LOL my job offered me Health Ins for like 40.00 a month off my check, I said no thanks im 16 healthy some Americans or a lot think that way today. 20, 30 yrs old people are like I dont need Medical Ins right now so they just go to the doctor when its a real problem. My HMO is terrible we have a group of people in a city far away from me making decisions if I need this done or not? and from what I understand HMOs pay the doctor a extra income for not having things done unless its life or death. HMO is kinda like Big Govt, ObamaGate wants trust me we dont want that Long lines for a appointment, Govt paperwork to fill out 30 pages long, the costs someone is going to pay for it......you, me, Businesses, which will raise prices on goods and services or fire employees or both.
- tasine, on 08/29/2008, -1/+4And I am told that many people with plenty of money don't want insurance - they pay for medical problems as they come up. All too many families will spend money for an extra 1 or 2 LED or plasma TVs RATHER than pay for insurance coverage. I have zero sympathy for them. The really poor receive Medicade. The elderly have Medicare until nursing home stays at which time Medicade usually takes over. The absolute last thing America needs is government controlled health care. If you think your health care is expensive now, just wait til we have socialized medicine! With insurance companies, we have some choices. My experience with government is that we have NO choices.
- hope4god, on 08/29/2008, -2/+12Agreed Bob Barr maybe a good choice but voting for Barr will only help Obama and Im not going to do that, look bottom line beyond Race, Hype, Liberal stances because McCain is Liberal in a lot of ways. McCain has the background and is solid in his past he has friendships with honorable people, he is a ex-pow a American Heroe, he sees both sides of issues and his pick as VP will hopefuly be a better choice then Obama, and lastly and most important America is #1 to him he has such a true American unclouded background McCain is a open book other wise. Obama has untrust worthy friends, has a questionable past, lots and lots of Liberal friends, refuses the pledge of alligence, questionable voteing record, and his VP pick Biden a angry, unfair, unreasonable man, America doesnt need uncertainity and ''Change'' like Obama is mostly running on as a platform, America needs less hype more realistic, balanced, and America first values which McCain and a good VP will have. McCain will work with Democrats its a Political title ''Republican'' its not us verse you ''Democrats'' its Values, Big Govt involvement, Its America first, Freedom, Lessons, Failures and Progress sometimes you have to fail to be humble when you finally make it to the top. My Friends Obama-Hype is a big Hollywerid, Liberal, Leftists, bad movie, was their really no one left in the Democrat party besides Obama to run for the top postion in the country? One last and really disturbing thing about Obama The Muslim Terrorists have said if they cant beat America from the outside ie 9-11, USS COLE, Kenya Africa, They the Muslim Terrorists will beat us from the inside.........Think about it maybe Obama is not a true Muslim? but that doesnt stop him from allowing Muslims into our Military and National secrets, its scary to think that Obama who has family ties to UN-Friendly Hate America groups through his brothers, or friendships with The Nation of Islam Farachaun. could have open access and could do a lot of damage to America. Think about America first no hype here no Racism just facts and accomplishments.
- Tugging, on 08/29/2008, -2/+18Expansion of government responsibility, roles, etc. leads to more and more socialism.
We had better stop and consider if this is what we want or need.- hope4god, on 08/29/2008, -1/+5Tugging, Agreed it goes as far has everything once Big brother Govt gets involved its not good its a bigger mess, I appreicate that Officials, Law makers want to help but us Americans working hard and together can do this also. Good thoughts (Tugging) Dugg you up for it.........
- tasine, on 08/29/2008, -2/+12Government regulation, government approval, or government operation is always costlier than private ventures. The reason is that it CAN BE. The people making these choices are not using their own monay - they are using ours, and when they run out, they just tax us more. For those of you who thought FEMA was a mess during Katrina will LOVE the health care you will receive under Obama. Show me a successful, non-wasteful government program, and I will treat you to a visit to a phychiatrist..
As it stands right now, government is an impediment to quality health care in this country. Regulations coming in from all directions. Lawyers and their willing accomplices have been a huge force in raising the cost of health care. Think law suits, think silly law suits, think scam, think John Edwards (ugh!). The lawyers chase the possible lawsuits, cheesy get-rich-quick artists file suit (remember the embicile who was awarded something like $5,000,000 for her own spilling of hot coffee into her lap), judges are too lousy to turn down such cases, and juries are too stupid to tell the embicile to buzz off. It is unbelieveable how much these cases cost the hospitals and doctors. I knew a doctor, an anesthesiologist, back in the early '70's and at that time his liability insurance was $45,000 ! I shudder to think what it is today.
Get the federal government totally, totally out of health care and education where they don't belong in the first place. You'll see better health care and better education at less cost to us consumers. - exgop, on 08/29/2008, -2/+11Socialized medicine has never worked. Why do you think it will work with Obama? Oh yeah that's right he is the Messiah
