Hagel's Wife To Back Obama
huffingtonpost.com — The Hagels know John and Cindy McCain, and she said her endorsement was not meant to slam them. "This isn't anti-McCain. This is pro-Obama. I'm just convinced he's the right person," she said.

- HarryRag, on 10/07/2008, -0/+30It's interesting to note that Chuck Hagel, a Republican who puts his country ahead of his own party and political interests, is actually more liked among Democrats than Republicans. Republicans do not want an independent thinking man among them.
- FlaG8r, on 10/07/2008, -0/+1To be fair, those of us on the left can't stand our 2000 Vice-Presidential nominee anymore.
- SeeingtheLight, on 10/07/2008, -0/+1I'm not sure if I ever liked him. I don't think I did. I thought Hillary should have run with Gore.
- SeeingtheLight, on 10/07/2008, -0/+1Key word: Thinking

- kw7777777, on 10/07/2008, -1/+26Great news...obviously Hagel himself supports Obama; he just hasn't made a public endorsement. Lots of conservatives coming out against Palin/McBush and for Obama/Biden.

WASHINGTON, October 6 – John McCain appears to be losing support among
a key group of voters who had hitherto stood firmly with him and Governor Palin,
even as his poll numbers among other groups fell dramatically.
A new Gallup poll shows that, for the first time, McCain's approval
rating has fallen below 70% among total ***** morons, and now stands
at 64%. This represents a dramatic drop compared to a poll taken just
last July, when 92% of total ***** morons expressed support for
McCain and his policies.
Faltering approval ratings for McCain among a group once
thought to be a reliable source of loyal support gives Republicans one
more reason to be nervous about the upcoming elections. "If
we can't depend on the support of total ***** morons," says Sen.
Mitch McConnell (R-KY), "then we've got a big problem. They're a key
factor in our electoral strategy, and an important part of today's
Republican coalition."
Not all Republican lawmakers are concerned about the poll. While Sen.
Lamar Alexander (R-TN) agrees that his party should not take total ***** morons
for granted, they "really don't have anywhere else to go. They're
never going to be able to understand someone intelligent and articulate like Barack Obama
who wants to talk about issues. Just try having a conversation with them
about global warming. They'll say, 'Oh, but Rush says volcanoes
consume more ozone than humans do.' I mean, come on! They're total
***** morons!"- SeeingtheLight, on 10/07/2008, -0/+1lol
Lord, forgive me but this is funny. - tinag, on 10/07/2008, -0/+1That is an awesome analysis there! Hillarious, but sad because its so true.

- mizlane, on 10/07/2008, -1/+11It really should be a no-brainer.... most competent man for US.

- magus_melchior, on 10/07/2008, -0/+15If you liked Palin because she touted conservative credentials or an evangelical pedigree, her recent, unfounded, unsubstantiated attacks on Obama should be a cause for concern. Please read up on her actual policy positions and her treatment of subordinates and women, to say nothing about her stances on foreign policy.
She is neither conservative, nor is she a person who walks in the path of Jesus. I don't say this lightly; this is the conclusion after careful observation of her statements and her actions.- aussiejan, on 10/07/2008, -0/+4Palin's despicable attacks against Obama regarding William Ayers show she is not a true Christian. One of the 10 commandments is "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour". By her statements about Ayers, she called Ayers a terrorist and she accused Obama of "pallin' around with terrorists" (note the plural). William Ayers may have done some terrible things 40 years ago but to call him a terrorist today (a respected university professor) is inflammatory and slander. This is a lie. To say that Obama is friends with terrorists is also inflammatory and an outrageous lie. I would say this is two examples of bearing false witness against her neighbours. I think Sarah needs to go back to Sunday school.
- SeeingtheLight, on 10/07/2008, -0/+3I saw it right away. If you love Jesus, you don't lie repeatedly. She's backslid and needs to repent.
McCain was never Baptised nor is he Born Again. He just claims to have Christian beliefs. He needs salvation.
Pray for them. Pray for all of us.
- SpenderH, on 10/07/2008, -6/+2Doesn't this at least hint that McCain isn't Bush? He can't even get all of his fellow GOP Senators to endorse him. Drop the McCain = Bush rhetoric. I ain't buying it!
- IdigObama, on 10/07/2008, -0/+4McCain is freakin worse then Bush!
Throw a Falin Palin in and you have complete disaster!!!! - SeeingtheLight, on 10/07/2008, -0/+2He's worse than Bush.
- SpenderH, on 10/07/2008, -1/+0How is he worse than Bush?
- charm803, on 10/07/2008, -0/+1Bush managed to at least maintain a C average at Yale.
