At this point, I am hoping she doesn't start suing everyone who votes against her. - ogisdan, on 04/20/2008, -12/+4Tdown for misspelling of America.
- robeph, on 04/20/2008, -10/+2It's not so bogus... she's done it once already, traveling back in time.... Eerie resemblance yes? http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/2/2c/Morl ...

- mysql101, on 04/20/2008, -0/+1clearly they traveled back in time (to our present), and wish hillary to win here in the past so they can win an election in their present.

- winampman2, on 04/20/2008, -0/+3You guys, the issue here is that Hillary knows she won't get enough pledged delegates, which is why she is going to try to steal the nomination by trying to convince as many superdelegates (actually, pledged delegates too) to vote for her. All while attacking Obama and degrading his image. That's how she can still win.
- jbenson2, on 04/21/2008, -0/+1Even the AP agrees:
By STEPHEN OHLEMACHER, Associated Press Writer Sunday Apr 20, 3:15 PM ET
Many of the Democratic superdelegates who are still undecided say the most important factor in their decision is simple — they just want a winner in November.
The problem is, after nearly four months of primaries and caucuses in 46 states, territories and the District of Columbia, they still aren't sure who that is, don't seem be in any hurry to make up their minds and aren't interested in any artificial process that might force them to choose between Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Operation Chaos has succeeded!
- theaceoffire, on 04/20/2008, -1/+27If she could, she probably would...
- redcolumbine, on 04/20/2008, -5/+160ROTFL! Now that's what I call creative arithmetic!
- Mootabolife, on 04/20/2008, -7/+1In hopes that someone still reads this, how composed the background music?
- jabberwolf, on 04/20/2008, -15/+1If they want to include Michigan and Florida in a fair vote rather than trying to KEEP THEM FROM VOTING.
Yes Hillary WOULD win no doubt !
Obama cant get to the 2000 mark yet alone 1700 to 1800 !!
And this will go to convention to vote. Hmm are obamatards that ignorant to see that? And wwith obama being such a retard and losing in a debate and saying stupid things, really god chance that he will lose at the convention!- Ramble, on 04/20/2008, -5/+1I think we can both agree that people who listen to Clinton are retarded and people who follow Obama as the next savior of humankind are also retarded.
- DinosWillDie13, on 04/20/2008, -0/+4do you understand any of what has been going on in the past months?
- jbenson2, on 04/21/2008, -1/+1The arithmetic does not matter. All that matters is that she wins Pennsylvania (even by the smallest of margins). It looks like she will win. Then she will stay in until the Denver convention. If the O-man makes some more of his off-the-cuff disastrous comments like he did in San Francisco and the debate, the Super Delegates are going to wonder if he can win. After all, he could not win the big states in his own party primary.
- tcbishop12, on 04/20/2008, -5/+144Wickedly clever satire! If you can get past the first 15 seconds (which suck you in as a legit pitch for Hillary) you're in for a wonderfully improbable twisted logic ride.
- JlmAWP, on 04/20/2008, -0/+29Using Hillary and logic in the same sentence has got to be some sort of fallacy.
- uptown, on 04/20/2008, -0/+28.....anyone else catch the irony?

- consonance, on 04/20/2008, -0/+8I knew it was a joke when I heard the narrator announce that it was mathematically possible for Hillary to win the election. You might ask, "What if the video wasn't meant to be a satire?" Well, that wouldn't make her campaign any less of a joke.
- tomjm5000, on 04/20/2008, -0/+6I knew it was a joke when over a thousand people dugg an article called "How Hillary can Still Win"
- FadieZ, on 04/20/2008, -2/+9You know...I was actually hoping this WAS a legit video as I'm not quite sure how ***** she is. Does anyone know what she really has to do to win? (Forgive my Canadian ignorance)
- DephexTwin, on 04/20/2008, -1/+19No really.... that's what she has to do.
- 4d669, on 04/20/2008, -1/+1If that were true it would already be over. She can still win but it's less than a 10% chance.
- imgstacke, on 04/20/2008, -0/+3@4d669 : Hillary is like a spoiled child, plugging their ears with their fingers, while yelling "I CAN'T HEAR YOU!"
It's been over...
- peaceninja, on 04/20/2008, -0/+3she would have to get large percentages in the remaining states, which is only possible if something horrible happens to obama's reputation
- whatsrequired, on 04/20/2008, -0/+9The video actually gives you a good rundown of the situation, before all of the time traveling makes you shoot milk out of your nose. She can CRUSH Obama in PA (63% is an unheard-of margin for her in this election) and win some states she's not supposed to--North Carolina, Oregon-- and still be behind going into the convention. At that point, it's a superdelegate fight, and you have to be nuts to believe that the Democratic Party would allow the overturning of this outcome-- BO has a hole in his coalition (he's had trouble reaching blue-collar whites, HRC's core), but he's brought cast numbers of new voters into the party and energized his own base like no candidate in my lifetime. None of those voters would forgive the DNC.
- nosecohn, on 04/20/2008, -0/+6She has to win delegates, not States (as the video suggests). The short version is this:
Based on current polling numbers, and absent something earth-shattering happening to Obama's campaign, it's practically impossible for Hillary to win the required number of delegates in the states remaining to secure the nomination. However, it's also nearly as improbable for Obama to win enough delegates to secure the nomination before the convention, though he will clearly have more than Hillary. So, what's most likely is that the decision will be made by the superdelegates (Democratic party insiders who are not bound by the results of voting in their states or districts). The common wisdom is that there's no way a majority of those superdelegates would overturn the will of the voters, as their constituents would never forgive the party. Many of the superdelegates who have not already announced their position have committed to supporting whichever candidate garners the majority of the popular vote. Since Obama is likely to go into the convention with a clear lead, he will get the nomination.
Does that clear up things, my northern neighbor?- SilentSpyder, on 04/20/2008, -0/+1I hope you're right but since I am a pessimist at heart, I think Hillary will still find a way to win.
- nosecohn, on 04/20/2008, -0/+2I hope you're wrong, because I don't think she can beat McCain. I used to, but after this campaign, I think her negative numbers are too high.
- gwolf, on 04/21/2008, -0/+1Even if she won, she would lose big in the election, her credibility and character are toast.
- SilentSpyder, on 04/20/2008, -0/+1I hope you're right but since I am a pessimist at heart, I think Hillary will still find a way to win.

- uptown, on 04/20/2008, -8/+74Here's what Hillary has planned:
1. Win Pennsylvania by more than 10 points.
2, A day or two later get an endorsement from Edwards to try to marginalize her NC loss
3. Pour all her resources into Indiana and declare victory since Obama positioned that state as a "tie breaker" state.
I hate the woman with every bone in my body and think she'd be the worst President out of the choices ... but the above strategy scares the hell out of me because I think it's plausible.- argaen21, on 04/20/2008, -4/+31Its too late. Barack Obamas plan of winning the whole election is working too good for her plan to be successful.
- mickstephenson, on 04/20/2008, -1/+19too *well
- insomniac8400, on 04/20/2008, -2/+3Good thing no strategy will work. She will first off either lose Indiana or it be so close she nets less than 5 delegates. Either way it doesn't help her. She will also win at best less that 5 delegates in PA. You do not need to worry about her as long as young voters keep it up.
- 4d669, on 04/20/2008, -0/+3She's winning in Puerto Rico by a large margin and there's more than 60 delegates there.
- nosecohn, on 04/20/2008, -0/+2Actually, I think they only have 55 delegates.
- tomjm5000, on 04/20/2008, -0/+2Also, Obama's got a big lead in NC which has more than a hundred.... a bigger lead than Hillary has in PA
- nosecohn, on 04/20/2008, -0/+4It's about delegates, not states won. The whole emphasis on who won which state is just a media construct to make the race seem more close and exciting, so they can sell more advertising.
Hillary is currently polling about 5% ahead of Obama in Pennsylvania. But even if she won by 10%, and even if that margin translated directly into delegates (unlikely, but we can assume it will for argument's sake), she would still only post a net gain of 16 delegates. As a result of all the states' primaries/caucuses so far, plus pledged superdelegates, she's currently behind by 140 delegates. Pennsylvania and Indiana aren't going to let her overcome that deficit.
Hillary can reframe and manipulate the results of Pennsylvania all she wants, and if she wins, it may breathe new life into her campaign, once again. But the truth is, even with big states, she can't win the delegate race unless she runs the table in the remaining states by huge margins.
- argaen21, on 04/20/2008, -4/+31Its too late. Barack Obamas plan of winning the whole election is working too good for her plan to be successful.
- yodaj007, on 04/20/2008, -3/+46Hillary's always doing things the hard way. No wonder she can't win. Wouldn't it be simpler just to travel back in time and prevent Obama from being born? Think, Hillary, think!
- traphik, on 04/20/2008, -6/+3Or do better. She could do back in time and prevent herself from being born. Then she wouldn't be alive to loose.
- oscarj4l, on 04/20/2008, -0/+3that's not possible according to the grandfather paradox
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grandfather_paradox- imgstacke, on 04/20/2008, -1/+1It's only a paradox if you assume there is one line of past-future. There are not.
- Loonacy, on 04/20/2008, -1/+3The Grandfather paradox doesn't go far enough. You could travel back in time and change something, but then that thing would be changed so you wouldn't need to go back in time to change it. But if you don't go back in time to change it, then you'd have to go back in time to change it. But if you go back in time to change it, then it would already be changed and you wouldn't have to go back in time to change it. But then...
- Kakemonster, on 04/20/2008, -0/+2... you think about why the ***** you wanna kill your grandfather!
- Kyan, on 04/20/2008, -0/+3She could at least travel back and be born later, so her mother really could name her after the mountain climber. Or at the very, very least travel back to Bosnia and commandeer that plane so it did land in sniper fire.

- insomniac8400, on 04/20/2008, -0/+4Just to fill you in on this best kept secret. The popular vote means squat for a reason. One of them being she won lots of votes from historically republican areas. Those areas weren't worth much in delegates, but add up for total votes. Therefore anyone saying she won the popular vote so super delegates should overturn the election is a republican trying to start trouble.
- 4d669, on 04/20/2008, -7/+2There's more than 70 delegates left and she's winning on the polls of some states. Also, a ***** of super delegates haven't said who they support. It's impossible for her to win the same way it was impossible for Bush to beat Kerry.
- fmaxwell, on 04/20/2008, -0/+3Obama is 140 points in the lead on delegates (give or take a few). Hillary is as f***ed as a 10 year old boy attending a sleepover at Neverland Ranch.
- zaptoman, on 04/20/2008, -3/+1lol. Suppressed recounts? How many times were the votes recounted, you liberal smacktard? Each time more votes came up for Bush. Seriously, whine about something new.
- fmaxwell, on 04/20/2008, -1/+1Liar. Many of the recounts were never complete because the Republicans took it to the Supreme Court to stop them. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Florida_election_reco ...
If Bush was doing better with each recount, explain why he took it to the Supreme Court to stop them from being completed.
Ever heard of the Brooks Brothers Riot? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brooks_Brothers_riot
And we all know that Pat Buchanon was really popular in largely Jewish Palm Beach County. You just keep telling yourself that: http://archives.cnn.com/2001/ALLPOLITICS/03/11/pal ...
Your candidate lost and then got his brother and political cronies to cheat in order to throw the election to him like some two-bit dictator in a third world country election.
- fmaxwell, on 04/20/2008, -1/+1Liar. Many of the recounts were never complete because the Republicans took it to the Supreme Court to stop them. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Florida_election_reco ...
- Chrispyc1211, on 04/20/2008, -0/+1I think he was talking more about how unpopular Bush was, etc, as opposed to recounts. He doesn't suggest vote tampering anywhere in there.
- zaptoman, on 04/20/2008, -3/+1lol. Suppressed recounts? How many times were the votes recounted, you liberal smacktard? Each time more votes came up for Bush. Seriously, whine about something new.
- SillyRabbits, on 04/20/2008, -1/+3Neither candidate can win enough regular delegates to win the nomination outright. It will have to be decided by the super delegates. If you think this is stupid, well the only people to blame is the democratic party. They were the ones that instituted these rules where state delegates are split and 'super' delegates have an independent vote in the matter. The result is what we see here. In a close race it can turn into a complete mess. It's an idiotic way of doing it, and makes victories in the individual state races almost meaningless unless they are landslides. One almost has to wonder, if they can screw up a process as simple as selecting a party candidate, what are they going to do if they get the white house.
- fmaxwell, on 04/20/2008, -4/+2Your comment is ironic in that the Republican currently in the White House lost the popular vote and went to the Supreme Court to suppress recounts in Florida.
It's not "an idiotic way of doing it" -- it's just that you're not bright enough to understand the advantages. Suppose, for a moment, that the candidate who had won the state primaries turned out to have been convicted of a DUI, had a history of cocaine use, had been known to go on drinking binges, and had gone AWOL while in the military. The superdelegates could consider that and put their votes behind another candidate. (See, we're not all mouth-breathers like Republicans and, while George Bush could still be voted into office with those "credentials," Democrats are not so stupid as to vote for someone like that.) - Chrispyc1211, on 04/20/2008, -0/+1I honestly can't see the super delegates contradicting the people's vote, here. I mean, I know they CAN, technically, but it'd be suicide. If the party leadership sent out such a blatant "f-you" to democrats around the nation, it'd be very unlikely that the dems would win in November.
- fmaxwell, on 04/20/2008, -0/+1Agreed 100% -- unless Obama ends up involved in a sex scandal, gets convicted on a drug or DUI charge, or someone digs up something truly horrendous from his background(unlikely given what we've seen of the man). But that's the beauty of the Democratic primary system: It makes it possible to address that kind of problem at the last minute.

You get that it's just... metal, right? By "depleted," they mean its radioactivity is essentially gone. Depleted uranium is used for tank shells and things because of its density and strength.
You're angry at a METAL.- MacEnvy, on 04/20/2008, -0/+2Eh, it's easy to brush off depleted U, since it is less radioactive than naturally-occurring U. But the problem isn't that it irradiates the area like some say (it doesn't really), the problem is that the soldiers who have to use it are exposed to the dust and over time it can have very serious health consequences. It's the soldiers we're worried about, not the area we're bombing. The WHO has a good site on the topic:

- beeblebrox, on 04/20/2008, -0/+3I can't wait until pigs fly, and I get to see all the flying pig haters turn into flying pig supporters.

- colincornaby, on 04/20/2008, -0/+3It's not like we'd be happy Hillary supporters. It'd be a lesser of two evils situation. If Hillary won, she certainly wouldn't get Obama's rabid support transfered to her.
- Antipodal, on 04/20/2008, -28/+2Digging just to piss off all the Obama-fans
- beloitpiper, on 04/20/2008, -0/+28Wow, you didn't watch the video, did you, dumbass?
- shadydentist, on 04/20/2008, -0/+20You're going to feel really silly when you find out what that video actually contains.
- bobdigi, on 04/20/2008, -2/+18You're dumb just like the rest of the Hillary supporters.
- Aensland, on 04/20/2008, -1/+13Epic fail is epic.
- o6uoq, on 04/20/2008, -1/+10lol that is -epic- fail
- Antipodal, on 04/20/2008, -11/+2Annnddd none of you seem to get my humor.
- hypertension, on 04/20/2008, -5/+0Oh I get it now >_>
- dxgg, on 04/20/2008, -0/+8It's not that we didn't *want* to get it...there just wasn't any humor to get.
- skinny01, on 04/20/2008, -1/+5Best
Fail
Ever
- sassafras1232, on 04/20/2008, -0/+6Almost buried this for calling the Great Plains "The Midwest." Almost...
- tomjm5000, on 04/20/2008, -0/+1They're not?
- kashk5, on 04/21/2008, -0/+2I like to refer to them as the flyover states
- superkendall, on 04/20/2008, -0/+17The video was pretty funny but you guys are all crazy if you don't think Hillary is still a very real threat. I don't like Clinton and I do like Obama, but I can see that. The idea that anything is "mathematically" impossible when we are talking about *politics* is just insane. Nothing is impossible in politics.
- shinigami052, on 04/20/2008, -0/+1A politician telling the truth...a true political impossibility!
- 4d669, on 04/20/2008, -0/+1Iran Contra, Watergate, Lewinsky scandal... all examples of politicians telling the truth. (at the very end of course)

- LtXenodite, on 04/20/2008, -0/+3No, don't give her any ideas!
- lilbugleboy09, on 04/20/2008, -0/+3Dammit! What if she finds this video?
- ralphthemagi, on 04/20/2008, -0/+3All she has to do is sway the super-delagates to vote for her. It's still entirely possible. The super-delegates are, essentially, free agents.
- imgstacke, on 04/20/2008, -0/+4The superdelegates have been endorsing Obama at a rate of 10:1 over Clinton since Feb. 5th. Time travel is her only way...
- blackjack75, on 04/20/2008, -0/+1Are endorsements definitive? Couldn't she get all of them to change their mind? Maybe with some Jedi trick.
- bernlin2000, on 04/20/2008, -0/+1Nothing is definitive...they can change their mind whenever and for whomever they feel like.
- bernlin2000, on 04/20/2008, -0/+2Yeah but they're politicians too, and most of them are elected politicians. I think they'll vote with the people because if they don't, the people won't vote for them! We know their names, you can find the superdelegate list anywhere
- ralphthemagi, on 04/21/2008, -1/+0And how many people are going to look up that list and see who voted? 1%? 5%? Enough to get them unelected? Probably not. People can't even remember what happens day to day, let alone year to year.
- queotic, on 04/21/2008, -0/+1And that's exactly what Obama is trying to change - our country's apathy towards the political process. Obama has been registering hundreds of thousands of new voters around the country. The superdelegates know that if they give the nomination to HRC even though Obama has the most delegates, not only will they lose Obama supporters, but also the majority of those newly registered voters. So not only would they face the wrath of the majority of the Democratic party, they would effectively be handing their positions to Republicans for the next term.

- 4element, on 04/20/2008, -1/+2Oh man! I thought it was trying to be serious at first.
- iamsamed, on 04/20/2008, -0/+0I don't get the sarcasm.
It's a brilliant plan and I think she can pull it off. Definitely.
- iamsamed, on 04/20/2008, -0/+0I don't get the sarcasm.
- mtosner, on 04/20/2008, -7/+2Obama is turning the tide in PA.
