  • thepoliticalcat, on 10/13/2008, -0/+4People, if you're voting by absentee ballot, please photocopy your ballot before mailing it. Vote early if at all possible. The lines will be long and "problems" with machines will undoubtedly be common. Beat the rush, vote now. Don't wear any t-shirts, buttons, pins, hats, or any piece of clothing or accessory that carries a campaign identifier or slogan. It is important that no one be able to take away your right to vote. Take a cellphone with video capability or a handheld video recorder or camera in case you run into problems. If you live in an area that is hostile to people like yourself, go with friends to cast your vote. If you get a receipt from a voting machine, write the name of your candidate and the date and time you voted and ask a poll worker to sign it for you.
