- buckpower, on 09/05/2008, -1/+135Wow. On top of a boring speech, he got punk'd at his own party by a Veteran of the war in Iraq.
- animelion, on 09/05/2008, -0/+22IRAQ VETERANS AGAINST THE WAR: http://www.IVAW.org
Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW) is open to anybody who has served in the military (Active Duty, National Guard, and Reservists) since September 11th, 2001. Military members who are currently serving can be guaranteed confidentiality.
http://ivaw.org/membership- macaca, on 09/05/2008, -0/+11I don't know why are you dug down. Thanks for sharing and if you are one of the VETS, sir I appreciate your service and you have all the rights to say what you want.
- OpenRevolt, on 09/05/2008, -9/+4I hope everyone in the military took a hard look at Palin's son.
He deserves to get beat with soap towels for going along with this.
***** McCain/Obama's War on Terror -- support the vets and end this ***** for real!- PlayingGangsta, on 09/05/2008, -2/+12You're dumping on her son for serving the country and saying support the vets in the same post?
- BoneStamp, on 09/05/2008, -0/+5I don't agree with the war or Palin, nor I do I understand what you think her Son deserves a beating for.
- Shiftgood, on 09/05/2008, -0/+5I think the guy just came from giving a speech at the Ron Paul convention.
not kidding.
- animelion, on 09/05/2008, -0/+22IRAQ VETERANS AGAINST THE WAR: http://www.IVAW.org
- thisniss, on 09/05/2008, -1/+127Definitely the highlight of the speech. Now THAT is heroism, my friends.
- Phillycook2, on 09/05/2008, -0/+75"Crash" McCain - worst pilot in the history of naval aviation - and 5th from the bottom of his graduating class at Annapolis. Maybe he wanted to get shot down. An epic fail for McCain. Pwnd by vets!
- darkciti2, on 09/05/2008, -0/+23He destroyed five Navy Aircraft during his career. He was appointed by his father a Sr. Navy Admiral.
He became a POW because his 5th plane was shot down.
Does anyone else think he shouldn't have been given 5 chances to fly a taxpayer funded military aircraft [particularly when he graduated at the bottom of his class and shouldn't have earned his wings at all]?
Much like Bush, McCain's daddy hooked him up with a sweet job, and we the taxpayers are paying for it.
NO MORE.
Fire the republicans in November.
- darkciti2, on 09/05/2008, -0/+23He destroyed five Navy Aircraft during his career. He was appointed by his father a Sr. Navy Admiral.
- CWalter, on 09/05/2008, -1/+46not only that, how many servicemen lost their lives retreiving his crashed gov't equipment and wasted time repairing his broken planes when there was more important work to do? What an arrogant ass.
- darkciti2, on 09/05/2008, -0/+14His father was an Admiral and enabled him to crash 5 (yes five) naval aircraft that cost the taxpayers millions of dollars. Nepotism and Cronyism have no place in Washington or our Military.
If the shareholders of Corporations don't allow it, We The People certainly shouldn't allow it in our government. - jimrin, on 09/06/2008, -0/+2Not to many how many lives might've been lost...
http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/McCain_believes_ ... - jimrin, on 09/06/2008, -0/+1That should have been: "Not to mention how many lives might've been lost..." http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/McCain_believes_ ...
- darkciti2, on 09/05/2008, -0/+14His father was an Admiral and enabled him to crash 5 (yes five) naval aircraft that cost the taxpayers millions of dollars. Nepotism and Cronyism have no place in Washington or our Military.
- mille716, on 09/05/2008, -5/+42I was so pleased when I saw this man on TV but incredibly annoyed by the Code Pink protesters.
- buckpower, on 09/05/2008, -2/+11Agreed.
- misreal, on 09/05/2008, -0/+75that was awesome. and actually pretty classy protesting.
- goshdang, on 09/05/2008, -0/+7quite eloquent indeed
- blujackit, on 09/05/2008, -0/+43why comment, the picture says it all
- sullivanst, on 09/05/2008, -0/+4Not quite all.
There was also the back of the banner:
"You can't win an occupation"
Bingo!
- sullivanst, on 09/05/2008, -0/+4Not quite all.
- buckpower, on 09/05/2008, -0/+47Shout this ***** to your friends... everyone needs to see this.
- thepoliticalcat, on 09/05/2008, -0/+5I did. %^D
Srsly tho I am so bummed by the way McCain treats the troops while peddling his POW experience. There's plenty of other people who were taken prisoner. Many never came home. Many who were not POWs came home so ***** up in the body and the head and the soul. And this lousy shill, who wouldn't vote for one penny for the vets' health care, education, and assistance, wants to keep Bush's tax cuts that have already emptied out the Treasury and put us deep in debt.
- thepoliticalcat, on 09/05/2008, -0/+5I did. %^D

- trying2think, on 09/05/2008, -0/+11And his speech in front of a green screen? Cue chroma key!
- dn11, on 09/05/2008, -0/+5LOL. I want to composite scenes from "Trinity and Beyond" behind him.
- Marky11, on 09/05/2008, -0/+61Balls. This kid's got 'em.
- bg86, on 09/05/2008, -0/+7When you believe in something it takes little to nothing to inspire you to do this
- brad3378, on 09/06/2008, -0/+2Excuse me?
Kid?
That right there is a ***** MAN!
- friscos, on 09/05/2008, -0/+48Bravo to one very brave kid. Speaking truth to power: McCain says he supports the troops but he has voted AGAINST veterans' and the troops' interests FAR MORE than he has voted with them. Good on ya for telling it like it is sir, and thank you for your service to the country (in Iraq and in that hall in St. Paul tonight)!

- Yosef52, on 09/05/2008, -0/+30Have you seen this email about McCain's record with veterans? It's pretty devastating:
http://jamillerrampant.blogspot.com/2008/09/anti-m ... - svsbg, on 09/05/2008, -0/+27One picture exposes the "Lying Right" and their standard bearer !
- BabushkaBlue, on 09/05/2008, -0/+38If McCain loves America so much, why does he have such an abysmal voting record when it comes to supporting veterans? I don't get it.
- muckemuck, on 09/05/2008, -0/+15.. when he votes.. look at how many times he missed votes over the last 3-4 years. He had a job to do and didn't do it... .and yet we're supposed to vote him into a higher office? pshaw.
- Callik, on 09/05/2008, -0/+38I like how their solution is to chant "U.S.A" at him.
As if he didn't know the name of the country he fought and served for ¬.¬ - kingofinternet, on 09/05/2008, -0/+34the one sane man in the room.

- keepinReal, on 09/05/2008, -0/+18What was up with the building on the screen in back of McCain just before the dude held the sign up? First thing that came to mind was...ahh, there's one of his houses!
- svsbg, on 09/05/2008, -0/+31The second picture really cuts thru the "Lying Right's (L.R.)" Orwellian double speak.
L.R. says we are winning the Iraq War -
reality says You can't win an Occupation
(but you can try to stay for 100 years if you can keep fooling your countrymen long enough)
L.R. says "Support the Troops" -
Reallity says use them for photo ops
and turn a blind eye when they are damaged and might need some of the money that is flowing to the top 1%
L.R. says "Drill Baby Drill" and that will knock down the price of Gas -
Reality says 5-7 years before the first drop reaches your gas tank,
20 years for full effect and totally saving which finally accrue 3 to 4 cents per gallon.
L.R. says must change Washington DC -
Reality says - Until last year they held all the cards, White House, House and Senate, apparently Americans are supposed to be so stupid that they can't remember that.
L.R. says when they block a bill in the Senate it did not get enough votes,
Reality says - Its called a 'Filibuster' and whenever Democrats exercised it they were exorcised for it.
L.R. says it's a "Do Nothing Senate"
Reality says - See item above and know it was the "Publicans' have been Filibustering everything in sight.
L.R says 'I hate war'
Reality says - While we claim hate war but we love how war distrancts people, and gives us the chance to funnel Billions of dollars to our Corporate Buddies.
L.R. says "We are the fiscally responsible party"
Reality says - let the kids and grand kids figure out how to pay for the WARS, It is God's will that tax cuts for the wealthiest are more important the sticking the next generations with the bill.
Reality continued - All those pallets containing Billions of dollars of freshly printed bill we sent to IRAQ, they could not be bothered to even get a reciept for it. Makes you wonder who got to skim off all of the cream on that doesn't it?
L.R says "Its a LIBERAL MEDIA"
Reality says GE (NBC & MSNBC), DISNEY(ABC), Rupert Murdoch (FOX and how many papers - Yep they are Liberal Icons, you betcha.
L.R. says "Too Much Regulation is the problem"
Reality says the eviseration of Regulation is exactly what has brought us the Credit Crunch, the Bank Crisises etc
L.R. says hey look over there -
Reality says - Check your financial future, they just figured out how to screw you again.
- DuggDowner, on 09/05/2008, -0/+29That was the only bit of truth to come out of the Republican convention.
- dildoolielly, on 09/05/2008, -2/+13Did anyone notice McCain's arms are shorter than they should be? WTF is up with that?
Those damn pesky shoelaces!- Snap65, on 09/05/2008, -0/+6cue the creepy smile.
- marabout40, on 09/05/2008, -0/+5His shoulders were broken during his torture as POW in vietnam. He can't move his arms above his chest. Doctors say he'll need both shoulders replaced eventually.
- thepoliticalcat, on 09/05/2008, -0/+10Actually he broke both shoulders when his plane crashed. He's been collecting 100 per cent disability since the 70s. Lots of vets who aren't getting any disability and can't afford $500 shoes, either.
- HonestAbe, on 09/06/2008, -0/+2"Actually he broke both shoulders when his plane crashed."
Which one?
- sullivanst, on 09/05/2008, -0/+5Combination of Vietnam and badly fitting (but still doubtless extremely expensive) suits.
- dildoolielly, on 09/05/2008, -0/+19McCain's pre-speech To-Do List
-Learn to tie them pesky shoelaces
-Remember how to prenounce Sarah's last name
-Forget finding Osama, talk about tiger cage
-More prank phone calls to Obama
-Send big check to Ohio registrar
-Take another peek at Sarah's ass when Cindys not looking
-Try to distance self from religious wackos, after their job is done - jamesalfaro, on 09/05/2008, -0/+19The CNN caption at the bottom was just perfect timing!
http://img179.imageshack.us/img179/4086/cnnvetsro4 ...- sullivanst, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2I notice from the caption that he's only one-half as decorated as John Kerry.
- welliwonder, on 09/05/2008, -0/+10Nice.
- sheasie, on 09/05/2008, -2/+30++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
You are The Boss... which team would you hire?
With America facing historic debt, multiple war fronts, stumbling health care, a weakened dollar, all-time high prison population, skyrocketing Federal spending, mortgage crises, bank foreclosures, etc. etc., this is an ***unusually critical*** election year.
Let's look at the educational background of your two options:
Obama:
Occidental College - Two years.
Columbia University - B.A. political science with a specialization in international relations.
Harvard - Juris Doctor (J.D.) Magna Cum Laude
& Biden:
University of Delaware - B.A. in history and B.A. in political science.
Syracuse University College of Law - Juris Doctor (J.D.)
vs.
McCain:
United States Naval Academy - Class rank 894 of 899
& Palin:
Hawaii Pacific University - 1 semester
North Idaho College - 2 semesters - general study
University of Idaho - 2 semesters - journalism
Matanuska-Susitna College - 1 semester
University of Idaho - 3 semesters - B.A. in journalism
Now, which team are you going to "hire" ?
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
(This is an unusually critical election year. Act responsibly. Please forward.)- jimrin, on 09/06/2008, -0/+1Let's not forget to add this to McCain's resume:
http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/McCain_believes_ ...
- jimrin, on 09/06/2008, -0/+1Let's not forget to add this to McCain's resume:
- phuzzy3d, on 09/05/2008, -0/+21Dude has balls to go into the belly of the beast.
I guarantee he was shaken down and arrested for being a terrorist. - AchaIemoipas, on 09/05/2008, -2/+17"USA! USA! USA! USA! We completely ruined USA! USA! USA! We're against everything USA! is about! USA! USA! USA! We have no respect for anything! USA! USA! USA! Is hated by the entire planet because of the actions of republicans! USA! USA! USA!'s dollar lost 40% of its value! USA! USA! USA! is losing even to the Chinese! USA! USA! USA! Is ***** up beyond recognition! USA! USA!"
- DeskFlyer, on 09/05/2008, -1/+14I find it rather amusing how McCain has adopted Obama's message of change when he has mirrored the vote of Bush nearly 100% of the time this year.
Source: http://www.factcheck.org/askfactcheck/is_it_true_j ...
How the ***** is that an indication you will change anything that Bush has done to single-handed destroy this country and continue to do so? Will a McCain supporter please stop in this nested comment and provide some sort of coherent explanation for this paradox without going off on some sort of rant about how Obama is some sort of Islamic Nazi. Thanks. - plimpton777, on 09/05/2008, -1/+11Geez, McCain, ever hear of Colgate whitening strips, damn. I thought there was a yield up ahead, that's how yellow you're teeth are. Nasty-ass Crayola burnt-umber teef. People be speeding up when the see you trying to beat the light.
- jeebodon, on 09/05/2008, -4/+2Hmm, well I just made a response saying the same type of thing about Obama's ears, but then I decided not to post it, seeing as it's a low blow, and I don't want to stoop to your level. So grow up and criticize candidates on real issues.
- plimpton777, on 09/05/2008, -4/+3ur a fag.
- jeebodon, on 09/05/2008, -1/+1Stay classy plimpton777
- plimpton777, on 09/06/2008, -2/+1Go ***** yourself San Diego.
- sullivanst, on 09/05/2008, -0/+1"John McCain couldn't use toothpaste for 5 1/2 years in Vietnam" would, undoubtedly, be Tucker Bounds response to you.
- jeebodon, on 09/05/2008, -4/+2Hmm, well I just made a response saying the same type of thing about Obama's ears, but then I decided not to post it, seeing as it's a low blow, and I don't want to stoop to your level. So grow up and criticize candidates on real issues.
- TCSavant, on 09/05/2008, -6/+3Obama was chosen by millions to represent the Democrats, and for that he deserved to be heard.
McCain was chosen by millions to represent the Republicans, and for that he should be afforded the same consideration.- kingUssop, on 09/05/2008, -0/+4And when does the war get discussed when it's chosen by more people than either of those to end?
- TCSavant, on 09/05/2008, -5/+0There is a time and place for everything. Specifics are reserved for the debates.
Barging in to silence a man who millions voted for is antipodal to the principles of this democratic republic. - kingofinternet, on 09/05/2008, -0/+4the man was nonviolent and nonvocal. he displayed a sign. dissent is essential in democracy. all of our representatives should be accountable to the people, especially those who lay down their lives to protect our country.
in communist china they had designated protest zones. what kind of american are you?
- TCSavant, on 09/05/2008, -5/+0There is a time and place for everything. Specifics are reserved for the debates.
- sullivanst, on 09/05/2008, -0/+3And this protester was not in any way stopping McCain from being heard.
- MediaWeasel, on 09/06/2008, -0/+1Oh he had the right to be heard, certainly. Pity there wasn't a crumb of anything worth listening to.
The protest was legitimate. McCain has voted against the vets. His record for supporting vets is abysmal.
- kingUssop, on 09/05/2008, -0/+4And when does the war get discussed when it's chosen by more people than either of those to end?
- felinetta, on 09/05/2008, -0/+7SMACK DOWN!
- badbilly, on 09/05/2008, -1/+19No "hero" brags about being a hero for ***** 30 years.
False hero = false intentions
BAD for my country.- eastcoast, on 09/05/2008, -0/+4Bravo that!
- jimrin, on 09/06/2008, -0/+1And would you even call this a hero:
http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/McCain_believes_ ...
- Striff, on 09/05/2008, -0/+10I'm surprised he was not water boarded.
- scareyShadow, on 09/05/2008, -1/+9What you say may offend me to the very core of my being, BUT, I will fight till my last breath to defend your right to say it. That is what free speech means and that is why we CHOOSE to serve our country.
- JKap, on 09/05/2008, -0/+15Adam Kokesh = Revolutionary Patriot
When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes duty! - Homerr, on 09/05/2008, -0/+15You can't win an occupation.
- LonewackoDotCom, on 09/05/2008, -5/+1My comments on this are here:
http://24ahead.com/blog/archives/007981.html
Instead of making himself and his cause look bad, Kokesh should have done something that would actually be effective.
Ron Paul fans: feel free to digg this comment down since it's the only one that would help your candidate.- sullivanst, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2You're an idiot. Your blog says he 'interrupted' McCain, but he did no such thing. The footage is clear, McCain wasn't even aware of him.
Kokesh did himself and his cause no harm at all. Except amongst people who already hate what he stands for anyway, because he doesn't have the identical thoughts to them. By which I mean you.
- sullivanst, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2You're an idiot. Your blog says he 'interrupted' McCain, but he did no such thing. The footage is clear, McCain wasn't even aware of him.
- Airforcefalco, on 09/05/2008, -2/+4The RNC must not have had it's anti-1st ammendment rights barrier far enough back. They should have copied the DNC because it worked for them.
- charliebucketts, on 09/05/2008, -0/+3Obama's campaign came out and met with IVAW. The Republicans snubbed us. If the democrats had been so dismissive, a similar action would have been called for.
- Airforcefalco, on 09/05/2008, -0/+1Right but you never got in. A person sent to appease the crowd just long enough to get through the DNC was all that it took.
- sullivanst, on 09/05/2008, -0/+1Well, Obama votes for the vets, and is already aware that you can't win an occupation, so...
- charliebucketts, on 09/06/2008, -0/+1@Airforcefalco
If groups like IVAW have to treat both parties the same we will have come to the point where we have lost total confidence in our government.
Are you saying we are at that point now?
I hope not. - Airforcefalco, on 09/06/2008, -0/+1I think you see the answer, just look at the differences between the two.
- charliebucketts, on 09/05/2008, -0/+3Obama's campaign came out and met with IVAW. The Republicans snubbed us. If the democrats had been so dismissive, a similar action would have been called for.
- kassing, on 09/05/2008, -0/+5And the republicans response can be seen in their stage layout...
http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/Republicans_use_ ... - kidathinnes, on 09/05/2008, -0/+10That my friends, is a true patriot.
- LonewackoDotCom, on 09/05/2008, -4/+2This would all be pretty funny if it weren't so sad. Paultards digg up someone who's doing something that makes them look bad, and digg down my comment showing them how they could actually be effective.
Maybe some of the Paultards are actually Illuminati operatives or something. ;)- buckpower, on 09/05/2008, -0/+4Maybe they don't like being called "paultards" by some self-aggrandizing douche.
- sullivanst, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2You'd be pretty funny if you weren't so sad.
You just don't want to hear any dissent. Maybe you'd be happier living in Putin's Russia or Communist China, where dissent isn't heard because dissenters are crushed by the state.- LonewackoDotCom, on 09/06/2008, -0/+1Ask a grown-up to explain to you how idiotic this and your previous comment were. Here's a hint: the fact that my attempts to help them are repeatedly dugg down shows who's opposed to dissent. Figuring out the rest is left as an exercise for a smart Paultard, if one can be found.
- charliebucketts, on 09/05/2008, -0/+10IVAW is planning a lot of actions. Find your local chapter, we can use your help. To be an ally you don't have to be a Veteran. Our strategy is non-violent and we accept support from a wide variety of people and groups.
- brainon4u, on 09/05/2008, -2/+4They said he was a "hero" and would not accept early release! OK, truth squad! After initial capture and interrogation, he COOPERATED with the enemy. That's why he kept them for searching for more MIA's, every time families tried.
Second, when those over 100+ men died in that tragic fire on the carrier, it was because McInsane was "showing off" and caused the crash. They physically removed him from the carrier so his fellow servicemen didn't kill him for his actions!
I believe this will all come up again during the election. But, what does it matter? People who support him and/or Obama have their heads buried in the sand and welcome socialism and fascism.- jimrin, on 09/06/2008, -0/+1You can see what else fellow vets feel about him here:
http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/McCain_believes_ ...
- jimrin, on 09/06/2008, -0/+1You can see what else fellow vets feel about him here:
- TheAmazingBob, on 09/06/2008, -0/+7Much more of "An American Hero" than John McCain.
- cattletracks, on 09/07/2008, -0/+2If you’re going to talk the talk, you’ve got to walk the walk. McCain is yet another former military veteran who likes to talk a big game when it comes to having the support of the military. Yet, time and time again, he has gone out of his way to vote against the needs of those who are serving in our military. If he can’t even see his way to actually doing what the troops want, or what the veterans need, and he doesn’t have the support of veterans, then how can he be a credible commander in chief?
