Marshall McLuhan and Barack Obama: Medium is the Message in Prez Campaign

paullevinson.blogspot.com — Obama's weak performance in most of Thurs debate may have been an example of what Marshall McLuhan pointed out in the 1960s: the medium is the message. Obama gives great speeches but doesn't shine up on stage with a bunch of other candidates getting to answer a question every now and then. Is an indication of how he would do as President? No.

  • whch, on 11/18/2007, -1/+1By contrast, Dr Paul is a personable public speaker and an unshrinking and formidable debater, as he stands on the character of his conviction, tied to his belief in the power the Constitution gives us, rights that our "elected" representatives have whittled away in the last century. Enough already.
