McCain- Palin: Trailblazers
washingtonmonthly.com — The McCain/Palin ticket is the first in American history in which both candidates were found to have violated ethics standards before a national election. It makes the whole "reform" pitch a little more difficult, doesn't it?

"It's an innocent typo. They intend to deform Washington." - Posted by JoeW - cattletracks, on 10/11/2008, -0/+5The McCain campaign issued a statement that said the report "illustrates what we've known all along: this was a partisan led inquiry run by Obama supporters." This investigation began before Palin was named as the VP nominee. None of us had even heard of Sarah Palin. It was only after her nomination that six Republican law makers intervened to stop the investigation. Their attempts failed, the results are in, and now somehow this investigation was a witch hunt by Obama supporters? The committee was compromised of 8 Republicans and 4 Democrats, and headed by yet another Republican. I hope that people are smart enough not to buy into McCain's lies.
Palin today told reporters today that the report denied any abuse of her powers as governor. "If you read the report, you will see that there was nothing unlawful or unethical about replacing a cabinet member," Palin said. "You got to read the report." Don't they realize that their spin and their lies make her look even worse? What ever happened to taking responsibility for one's actions? The more we learn about Palin and McCain, the more they appear to fit right in with the Bush-Cheney crowd.
