- huntress58, on 09/19/2008, -2/+31I have read about this before and wondered why the media hasn't covered this. Thank god, someone has the balls to call him out on this, now maybe America can know the truth about John McBush.
McCain First, Country Last!
Palin=Lies
McCain=Bush (even worse actually)- sammyjames, on 10/03/2008, -0/+1YOU SAID it. McCAIN IS worse than Bush. In fact, calling him "John Bush" misses the point. The point is that John McCain will do more to destroy our country than Bush ever could have DREAMED of doing.
McCain used to be an "okay" guy. If he were still like he was back in 2000, then it might not be so bad. The problem here is that most people voting for him have this view -- the "Maverick" image that he at ONE TIME portrayed -- and this is gone.
It's sad, and I do feel bad for him and his loyal supporters. I don't think that he is evil; but like his friend Joe Biden says, John McCain is a truly misguided man. Vote Obama / Biden. Let your voice be heard!

- BrownieD, on 09/19/2008, -1/+23McCain covered up evidence of the existence of POWs left behind in Vietnam. Why? To hide that he had confessed to his captors and also to hide some other kind of information on his briefing -- who knows what? -- that may not play so well to his carefully manicured war-hero story. But he wasn't the only one; John Kerry helped him, and the press let them all get away with it, and everyone forgot because they wanted to. This is shameful. Where's Chuck Norris when you need him?
- kdawg1012, on 09/19/2008, -1/+27John McCain let down his fellow POWs - and dd so year after year after year - when he was in a position to do so as a former POW on Capitol Hill. His conduct on the POW issue is nothing less than dishonorable and disgraceful. McCain does not deserve to be President of the United States. (I'm a 20 year Navy veteran with a full year in country Vietnam).
- dwrecktion, on 09/19/2008, -1/+23If McCain's miliary record is tarsnished, he has very little left to run on since the majority of the Republican campaign has been on pushing his "character".
- gnocchi1442, on 09/19/2008, -1/+13McWorse's entire bio is a fraud, including his POW experience.
- michael09876200, on 09/19/2008, -7/+0 Why did The Nation publish this piece by a very experienced reporter? (See, the movie, The Killing Fields, " on the genocide in Cambodia for the background on this reporter.) Entirely based on FAR RIGHT sources (far more extreme/to the Right of the Neo-Cons) like the rag of neo-fascist, racist Willis Carto, The American Free Press and Ted Sampley who alleges McCain is a COMMUNIST agent of the Vietnamese after being brainwashed by the VC.
- onyxcoltrane, on 09/21/2008, -1/+3Huh? You are rambling incoherently. What are you trying to say?
- Arishia, on 09/21/2008, -1/+2Lol, uh.... say again?

VETS WHO READ ARE FOR OBAMA/BIDEN - mebble, on 09/22/2008, -1/+4The MSM is spineless ... it didn't stand up to the Bush administration's bogus march to war. It was AWOL throughout the Bush years. Even today Americans are terrified of the boogey man and even more terrified of having their patriotism questioned. It's as simple as that.
But the truth is that McCain is a daddy's boy (like President Bush) who would never have even gained admittance into the US Naval Academy without pull. He barely graduated. His entire life has been pull. He's always been owned. Today he's owned by his ambition, by a party that can't stand him, and by two women, one with deep pockets and another endowed with a surfeit of shameless ruthlessness.
He's not a hero; he's a traitor. Listen to our Veternans: they do not support him.
He's a national disgrace. He's a little bully with a very deep chip on his shoulder. As they say a psychiatrist would have a field day with this disturbed and angry old man.
Keep him away from the economy and the nuclear codes by all means. - LeftCoastOracle, on 09/23/2008, -1/+3This story demands attention. There are several ways to approach it but a couple include, a) ask John McCain why he is covering it up, b) ask John Kerry whether it's accurate. And then there's the time worn tradition of the MSM actually doing some investigative reporting. What a concept!
- sammyjames, on 10/03/2008, -1/+1We're almost there, people! October 6 is when the story will break on "The Nation." I'm ready with my popcorn, extra coffee, and lots of pillows to relax on. This is gonna be @#$%! great!
- grannycarol, on 10/09/2008, -1/+0October 6 article in the Nation has come and ...is everyone so fixated on the banks and stock market and their impact on us that nobody is noticing this blockbuster article? It will disappear before it can be brought to light. That is, unless someone from The National Alliance of Families, an organization of relatives of POWs will speak up.No less than 20 POW lives may have been at stake when Dolores Alfond, of that organization, according to the Nation, tried to approach McCain, and was screamed at by the "war hero".Only these relatives of POWs and nobody from gov't is going t
go down that road again. And why aren't they now? PAVE SPIKE! PAVE SPIKE! - grannycarol, on 10/10/2008, -1/+0This is frustrating. No action taken by media, or the Obama campaign, no noise made by families of POWs MIA, thanks to McCain , as described in the Nation . The time to let this cat out of the bag is now, before this lying, devious person can go any further.
I have e-mailed the person who is Director of NAF. Somebody else do something, if you believe the Nation (Oct6, the Nation) to be true. I'm done here, and, it seems, so are you.
Maybe it was all untrue, after all. Easier to believe that, isn't it?
