McCain appears intent on killing Iranians
nytimes.com — Reuters just reported that in response to the tenfold rise in U.S. cigarette exports to Iran, McCain said, "Maybe that's a way of killing 'em." The article also reminds us of McCain's "Bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran" ditty when he was asked last year whether there was a plan to attack Iran.

- marabout40, on 07/09/2008, -1/+22Despite his "pro-life" badge of honor, this warmonger has no regard for other people's lives. This is the second time he's callously and nonchalantly joked about killing Iranians.
And 42% of Americans think this ill-tempered, trigger happy fool is right on foreign policy. ***** man - no wonder we've had an incompetent ass in the White house for possibly the worst 8 freaking years this country has every seen. - thirdcoastborn, on 07/09/2008, -1/+16McCain says alot of crazy comments but this is the worst one. Racist against a whole country.
- alapoet, on 07/09/2008, -1/+19What a ***** idiot.
- B08ama, on 07/09/2008, -1/+16Is this where McCain's military experience has gotten him and his rock-bottom diplomacy skills?
- mgraham80, on 07/09/2008, -1/+18Douchebag. We don't all think the Iranian people are our enemies, you ***** prick. Their government we obviously have some problems with, but the Iranians themselves? Why do you want them dead, you sick bastard?
- tbetz, on 07/09/2008, -1/+17McCain shows us once again that he is a soulless shell of a man, happy to dehumanize the innocent people of Iran, eager to send Americans to war in a sick and twisted effort to avenge himself against the ghosts of his Vietnamese captors by killing Iranians, Iraqis, it doesn't matter who, as long as he's killing them.
Remember, to John McCain, the Vietnamese remain "gooks" to this day.

- Hangly, on 07/09/2008, -5/+4Boy are you Obama supporters in for a surprise!
- SheilaNoya, on 07/09/2008, -1/+9We know one thing is certain if McCain gets elected... The War Profiteers win and America loses.
We should be trying to get the suppressed Iranian people to oust their current government leaders, but instead, idiots like McCain are just turning all of the Iranian people against us (same as Bush has repeatedly done). How do we promote the idea that an American style Democracy is good for them, when all we do is call them "evil", constantly threaten to bomb them, and make comments about killing them?
If they ever do get "Democracy", they sure won't vote for any pro-American leaders now. - voxlisa999, on 07/09/2008, -0/+7We cannot elect an idiot who would say such a thing. The Iranian people have been wanting to overthrow the Ayatollahs for years and were just about to do so around the time we invaded Iraq. The Persian people love America and want democracy. We cannot have a leader who jokes about killing them all. The Persian people are NOT the problem. Here's an excerpt from an award winning journalist.

'Iranians Love the West': An Interview With Omid Memarian
By Am Johal

Omid Memarian is the World Peace Fellow at the Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism at the University of California, Berkeley. He has been honored by Human Rights Watch for his work, which "embodies the new breed of human rights defenders who are pushing the boundaries of freedom of expression in Iran by working on the Internet."
I belong to the young generation of journalists in Iran who strongly believe that they can change the society by their efforts through the media, civil society organizations, and also political activities. Since I started working, I've taken my job very seriously in a way it became a part of me, far more than a profession, a part of my identity and dreams. After a few years of working, I received Iran's National Press Festival's Golden Pen for my analysis in political issues. I think it was basically because of the connection to the ordinary people and a believable nature of my writings.
Many young journalists in Iran are so successful and active in the public sphere, in the political sphere. They follow up the issues to the end. At the same time, being a writer and intellectual is a kind of threat. The government label them with different kinds of charges on a regular basis, which makes life hard for many of them. The government perceives these areas of society—civil society, N.G.O.'S, free media—as foreign interests trying to influence the society. They are always fearful of these people and skeptical of their function. They think that these bodies in society are being manipulated by the West.
Many journalists have been imprisoned or put in to a month of solitary confinement. They are interrogated for months and years, even if it's clear there is no basis to the government accusations.
But the fact is that they just [want] a better society and many of them have never traveled outside. I think the government use this excuse to suppress them and shut them up, forcing them not to talk about their demands. That's why many of us believe that the foreign pressure on the Iranian government is a gift for hard-liners in Tehran.

I mean americans aren't so forward with their evil intentions, I dont consider all americans to be evil but rather idiots. I get proved wrong (to my relief) occassionally with the digg users, but I have no idea sometimes how the overwhelming majority of americans can be so incredibly stupid, I mean, america is a superpower, they clearly appear to not want to stay this way (see John McCain).
A odd subject, one that will probably conclude in war should McCain come into power....If they aint gonna impeach bush, well, they aint ever gonna do anything. I feel that will come back to really bite americans in their asses, but hey, you reap what you sow. - edmondburke, on 07/09/2008, -0/+4HE IS JUST INTENT ON KILLING - PERIOD! AND HE IS BEING CONSIDERED FOR THE POST OF COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF. IT JUST BEGGER'S BELIEF!!!
- digitalsniper, on 07/23/2008, -0/+1Oh i LOVE you people that go on a RANT about cig exports, and how horrible McCain is (lets not forget Thets comments about Gooks), and how evil McCain is and turning the world against America, yet i bet if i dug every one of your names, your so pro "bama" it would make me sick. So lets support a man that himself is Anti-American, His wife makes public comments that her husbands acceptance is the first time shes been proud of America, and that after 20 plus years of following a Racist preacher, when called to the table, admitted he never paid attention to his teachings (even though in his book, he set him up as a hero).
Instead of getting Angry, you should all really pay attention to "World" politics and not your campus DOC advisor's. Yea i know, GWB was the worst president in history. I mean hell, he created Katrina, managed to manipulate world markets and raise energy prices for his own profit (even though he owns no energy stocks), convinced the entire world to invade Iraq (believe it or not, it wasnt just the U.S.) because every world leader is more gullible than you are (damn you should all run for office with your insight).
Its just laughable to read your comments. I dont even know what you base them on. The sad thing is, obama is most likely going to get elected, and then we will really see what fruits your politics yield. No one remembers the first time the world trade center was bombed, or the USS Cole, or two Embassy's, while on Clintons watch. Instead of sticking it to the terrorists back then in a show of force, he waited until his affair with monica was outed, and then he sent a single cruise missle to a Asprin factory in an african country to deflect some of the heat he was getting. Had he been a real leader, we wouldnt be in this position were in now, the towers would most likely still be standing (since several times OBL had been offered to him but he didnt want to bother with it), and the world would be a better place. So start reading instead of watching conan Obrian and get at least a few facts.
Edmondburke is crying about McCain being considered for the post of Commander-in-Chief (that would be head of the US Armed Forces incase you were curious), and Between his record, and Obamas, i would say he WAY out qualifies his competition. Oh but wait, as far as political experience, he also WAY out qualifies obama... So were not voting on qualifications anyway. I just hope you all do like the last few elections when the "Rock the vote" for teenagers died out and you were all to hung over or too busy living your lives to get out and vote. Thats our only hope!
See ya in November...
