McCain's Miserable Record of Not Supporting America's Troops
vetvoice.com — VoteVets.org explains why McCain gets consistently low ratings from veterans groups in this full list of McCain's, votes, statements, and positions that show he has consistently bailed on troops and veterans. In recent debates, he's said, "I know the veterans...and they know that I'll take care of them." Nothing could be further from the truth.

- JenniferInMO, on 10/12/2008, -0/+20I have read article after article, found group after group of veterans who criticize McCain for his near distain for the troops and our vets. Why is this not getting more attention?
- kw7777777, on 10/12/2008, -0/+11I'm wondering the same thing....maybe because it doesn't support the false narrative of the mainstream media that McCain is the patriotic candidate and he cares most about vets simply because he was one. Perhaps the mainstream media should look at the voting records like these vets groups have done and then they will see that Senator Obama clearly has showed far better support of our troops/Vets(he got a grade of "B") while McCain has a horrible record of supporting troops/.Vets(he was given a grade of "D" for his lack of support for Veterans). We need to shout, email and talk to everyone about this.....write the networks! OBAMA '08! LETS MAKE CALLS, KNOCK ON DOORS, WEAR AND DISPLAY OUR OBAMA GEAR(GOOD CONVERSATION STARTERS) PROUDLY....KNOW YOUR FACTS! LETS WORK ARE ASSES OFF TO MAKE SURE THIS HAPPENS! I DON'T WANNA HAVE ANY REGRETS LIKE 2000 OR 20004!!!! GO TO barackobama.com and CLICK on "Neighbor to Neighbor". Please volunteer its fun and easy and quite encouraging!
- jackieblu, on 10/12/2008, -0/+13McCain did get a D from Iraqi Vets, Obama got a B, and they said McCain will find out where they stand at the polls! McCain assumes he automatically has their support, he's in for a rude awaking. The mans a fraud!
- kw7777777, on 10/12/2008, -0/+10I hope you're right "jackieblu." We just have to keep fighting back and working our asses off for this campaign or we will have a repeat of 2000 and 20004!
- IdigObama, on 10/12/2008, -1/+6McCain has voted Against our Veteran's! The media should be covering this but they are not and never have!

Disabled American Veterans Legislative Director Said That McCain's Proposal Would Increase Costs For Veterans Because His Plan Relies On Private Hospitals Which Are More Expensive and Which Could Also Lead To Further Rationing Of Care. "To help veterans who live far from VA hospitals or need specialized care the VA can't provide, McCain proposed giving low-income veterans and those who incurred injury during their service a card they could use at private hospitals. The proposal is not an attempt to privatize the VA, as critics have alleged, but rather, an effort to improve care and access to it, he said. Joe Violanti, legislative director of the Disabled American Veterans, a nonpartisan organization, said the proposal would increase costs because private hospitals are more expensive. The increased cost could lead to further rationing of care, he said." (Las Vegas Sun, 8/10/08) - poprocksandsoda, on 10/12/2008, -1/+1Wow, look at the WHOIS on Vetvoice.com. You can rest assured that Vetvoice is a propoganda ploy meant to unduely influence the outcome of the US election. Most likely from abroad.- stock, on 10/12/2008, -0/+2Who cares who registered the site or what the purposes of it are? All you have to do is read it and see the facts. If you don't believe their facts then you could just do a little research of your own and see if it is true or not. Look at the resolutions it mentions and go look and see how he voted. There is a paper trail and you can't argue with facts.
