Michigan GOP leader wants Paul barred from future debates
mlive.com — The chairman of the Michigan Republican Party said Wednesday that he will try to bar Ron Paul from future GOP presidential debates because of remarks the Texas congressman made that suggested the Sept. 11 attacks were the fault of U.S. foreign policy.

- plutorobot, on 10/11/2007, -5/+29The truth irony of all this is, while Paul has such a small chance of winning the primary, he is the only Republican candidate who could possibly win the actual election. As the neocon leaders of the party continue to try to deny the failures and mistakes of the current administration, the greater whole of the public turned on Bush and his absurd war. Well I am voting for Ron Paul through thick or thin because he really is the only candidate on in either party worth voting for, but I won't be overly surprised to be seeing the giant smile of Obama or yet another Clinton in the the Oval office by the end of the 2008 election.
- tsoldrin, on 10/11/2007, -5/+17Your point is spot on but probably too nuanced for the republican leadership. Ron Paul IS the only possible GOP candidate that can defeat the Democrats... pretty much any one of them would crush any of the GOP warmongers. By general election time, with more dead soldiers and even more anti-war sentiment, this will be an even stronger case. There's really just enough time to embrace Paul and hope for the best... but the idiots are running in the opposite direction. Maybe 'they' hate us for our stupidity.
- Monolith3, on 10/11/2007, -20/+6Jesus christ, Ron Paul is great and all, but do we really need 50% of frontpaged articles to be about the guy? Enough already.
- dukeeeey, on 10/11/2007, -5/+13how badly do you want your country back ?
People also might want to be aware of this..

Election fraud. You know it happened (ohio etc) how pandemic was it ? How can you ensure your vote was counted correctly and there were no 'accidents' ? - skyorbit, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7Everybody needs to make sure they're registered Republican so they can vote for Paul in the Primeries.

No. Everyone should register as Democrats so they can vote for Obama in the primaries. - johoshua, on 10/11/2007, -9/+1Ron Paul is in the wrong party. You idiots do not have any concise perspective on Geopolitics. You need only to understand one thing. Islamo-fascist wat all Infidels dead. What about that do you not understand? Conversion by Sword. A worldwide reaching Caliphat. To be mired in Stupidity and self- loathing IS to be Stupidity incarnate.
- matador3, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5@johoshua
There are over 10 million ILLEGAL immigrants in America right now, I'm pretty sure the terrorists can get in if they want to. The whole idea of fighting them over there is ridiculous. We would be much better off using the resources to secure our borders.
Personally, I'm convinced that the so called Islamo-fascist threat is purposely overblown by special interest groups that benefit from keeping us in the middle east. - Widescreen, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I don't know if it is still the case or not, but the Republican party used to open up their primaries and you weren't required to be a registered Republican - it would be great if the dems and libs did the same thing. I'll have to check and see if that's still the case.

- jimmydemoret, on 10/11/2007, -4/+16He is the only one who can beat hitlary and they know it, the campaign has gone into the "attack" phase as ignoring Dr. Paul did not work, peace...
btw this "official" from michigan must be a real fascist, what a maroon...- diggthiscrap, on 10/11/2007, -10/+2"hitlary"???
I assume this was on purpose because H, I and L are no where near T. And R and Y enclose T, so then the typo should have been "HillaTy", not HiTlary. When neocon blog made up that gem?
- diggthiscrap, on 10/11/2007, -10/+2"hitlary"???
- FreeRepublic, on 10/11/2007, -4/+12Typical Neo-Con Republicans!!! These guys are about as intellectually bankrupt as the American economy will be if we don't get Ron Paul into office. I can't believe that Americans actually support these crazy red-state fascists. They want to stifle debate, torture people who could be innocent, and bomb tinpot nations that don't pose a threat to the U.S. If Benito Giuliani was President I am sure that
Ron Paul would be down in Gitmo, as a person who "purposefully supported hostilities against the United States", (a.k.a Enemy Combatant), for criticizing U.S. foreign policy. This is not genuine Conservatism, it is an evil spirit possessing the Republican Party. Only Ron Paul can exorcise this spirit in league with Beelzebub. Can anyone in the country e-mail these sophomores in the Michigan GOP Elite and tell them, (politely of course), why they should not ban Ron Paul from the debate? I don't see why not.

I couldn't have said it better myself! - tsoldrin, on 10/11/2007, -3/+11***** it, give Michigan to Canada and let them deal with this *****-whistle.
- Aeaus, on 10/11/2007, -5/+7Giving Michigan to Canada would increase the Candian's Conservative base by a percent so big we would be better off with infinity.

- Nitroadict, on 10/11/2007, -3/+4This reminds me of a pic I once saw comparing the Democrats & Republicans (i can't find the url anoyyingly), both represented by the extreme forms each side represents (however watered down): Democrats being Communism (left), and Republicans being Facism (right). That isn't to say centrism is any type of middle ground, unless you want stalemate (more of the same) politics; it's about time politics talk about going up or down instead of left or right when it comes to political progress. I just find it all funnier as each day goes by; hopefully Ron Paul will make a difference.
- jeffiek, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5" talk about going up or down"
I wonder how many people realize that it takes more than one dimension (left-right) to describe politics. More info here:

- OrganicDrew, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3of course it is a result of our foreign policy, if we handed out dollar bills to everyone we met abroad instead of Liberating them of their life we wouldn't have those problems
- HardSide, on 10/11/2007, -9/+1Thank god, somebody had to shut Ron up finally.
- Satertek, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3In other news, Giuliani has been kicked out for being pro-choice and pro gun control.
Oh wait. - BookImDanno, on 10/11/2007, -4/+1Ron Paul continues to get ZERO percent in national polls. Why let him into a debate when he has proven that he isn't a republican?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ron_Paul
Ron Paul should run on the libertarian ticket. At least that would show a bit of honesty. - CODEWARRIORZ, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Ron Paul is speaking the Vox Populi . The NEO-CONS are afraid he is going to let the cat out of the bag and expose the dirty truth. I agree with TheFounder, why is this story being buried. Ron Paul won BOTH debates. He is a real republican...i.e. for getting government out of our lives, limited government spending, against illegal immigration, against nation building.
The Republican party has been infiltrated and corrupted by the radical religious right and the NeoCons so that people have now become confused about what a real, GoldWater republican is.

"Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, who barely registers in public opinion polls of the Republican presidential field, won last Thursday night's debate. That was the unmistakable conclusion of the online poll posted by debate sponsor MSNBC, "
RON PAUL suffers from lack of national advertising, but when people see and hear him, they in large numbers and without question, prefer him to the other wannabees on the stage.
Giuliani is a known cross dressing multi-millionaire. I believe his income is arounbd 17 million a year at this point in light of his recent, limited, releases on his financial resources.
GO RON PAUL.
The Republican attempts to stifle him will be like putting trying to contain gunpowder...you increase its power exponentially! - Jason77763, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Keep Ron Paul in the Debates! http://www.petitiononline.com/RPRNC08/petition.html

517-487-0090 - gergle, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1If the Islamo terrorists are the threat that the neocons keep promoting, why in the hell don't we launch a d-day type assault? Why aren't we turning factories into arms suppliers and why haven't we instituted a draft? Either the threat is real or this is about Bush saving face. If Bush cherishes freedom in Iraq so damn much, why doesn't he move the Whitehouse to the Iraq embassy and direct the war from first hand knowledge? He ducked Vietnam, the least he could do for his country is show some real commitment instead of weasely chickenhawk character.
VOTE FOR RON PAUL, THE ONLY REAL REPUBLICAN LEFT.- johoshua, on 10/11/2007, -1/+0The germans wore uniforms
