Obama Rapid-Response Ad Skewers McCain

"Wow! Obama told the truth about Mccains lies with a great ad! And I'm an ignorant, annoying neocon sheep who always responds to anti-mccain stories with ***** anti-obama crap that doesn't make any sense because I can't defend mccain and his lies!"

- CryRightardCry, on 09/19/2008, -3/+39Or, liar, it could be phrased as "McCain LIES in his ads".
It's sad how little honor and ethics you have.
You can't be honest to save your life, can you?
So rather than admit you were LYING about this, now you pretend someone is taking a fall on it, just because it doesn't match right wing lies?
Dude, you are seriously such a traitorous piece of *****.
When I talk to my coworkers about honorless right wing liars, I bring up your name. - dudeguy1234, on 09/20/2008, -2/+6I hope that was a response to vexing...
- richardstaboner, on 09/20/2008, -3/+6Hey vex, suck my knutz!
- mikesoba, on 09/20/2008, -0/+3I'm confused here. This guy never worked for Obama.

- jakereilly, on 09/19/2008, -4/+64I think you meant to say:
- byranwilson, on 09/19/2008, -6/+121THIS is another example why Barack Obama will win this election. He just took McCain to the hoop, slam-dunked a stolen ball, and in Michael Jordan parlance talked sh*t to his face. The old man, John McCain, has lost his thunder, probably because he knows the the KEATING FIVE SCANDAL is just around the corner. I guess we are saving the best for last. McCain should just concede the race now because he has no chance in November. Sarah who?
- TunaFishGangsta, on 09/19/2008, -3/+30Don't be so sure, man. This is not the time to rejoice. The fight is on right now and even though Obama is pulling ahead, the other side has grasped onto the lies, because that's all they've got, and with lying there is no limit to how low and dirty they can get. I think their new ads are just a taste of what's to come as they become more and more desperate to stay competitive.
- H0tKarl, on 09/20/2008, -25/+3"He just took McCain to the hoop"
That was racist.- StarlessKnight, on 09/20/2008, -0/+27Black text on a white background... now that's racist.
- strangewill, on 09/20/2008, -2/+13I would say it's much more racist to immediately associate hoops with black people, as opposed to the rest of us which is just seeing the metaphor for what it really is.
- metaliq, on 09/20/2008, -2/+6So what? Black people aren't allowed to play basketball now?
- indiancompanion, on 09/20/2008, -0/+5if this was basketball, this would of been over a long time ago
- sephiroth965, on 09/20/2008, -0/+8McCain would've had a heart attack pretty quickly.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/artic ... - macdoc, on 09/20/2008, -1/+0Up in Canada we pay to much tax and I would be better off in the States , we have a good percentage of people that expect the government to look after them,,,,real lazy and systemic welfare support for generations . Some families have no idea what its like to work and the waits at the hospital are unbelievable , I think that 5 million Canadians do not have a family doctor because there are none to be found . Obama could bring you where I am now over taxed and told what is good for me because I obviously need to be told how I should run my life. Marxism is Obama and I hope the US stays capitalistic for your sake.
- doubleaught, on 09/21/2008, -0/+1"Will win" is a pretty strong statement. http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/
Basically you take Bush's current voters who still approve of him, McCain has to do nothing to win those sheeple, they're a given. He only has to win the difference between that number and whatever it takes to win the electoral majority. Hey, here's to hoping Obama kicks his ass but it ain't over 'till it's over.
- pennsykid2000, on 09/19/2008, -3/+68I think this is just the beginning of what is going to be not so subtle racist messages from McCain. By late October, it will seem like the early 1960s all over again, when overt racist stuff occurred all the time. McCain isn't going to stop at anything to try to win. The key is whether the media calls him out on it, like some have about the repetitive lying the past few weeks. If so, there is hope. If not, American politics will be set back more than 40 years.
- buddhika86, on 09/19/2008, -0/+13Yea, you are right. Unless media act with bit more intellect it will really get ugly and show rest of the world a very disgusting image.
- coffeebaby, on 09/19/2008, -0/+13i've been saying that from the beginning pennyskid. i am encouraged that the media has actually started to do "fact checks"... what a novel idea for journalists. sheesh.
- TriMarkC, on 09/20/2008, -4/+3there are several sites performing "fact checks". But again, the majority of these are STILL mass media, and so each has their own biases. So the focus on fact-checking the other side, but once again the neglect or severely downplay the facts and half-truths that might be beneficial for the voting public to make up their OWN minds.
- benbfree, on 09/20/2008, -7/+2There was nothing racist about the Raines ad. If you think there was, you're ridiculous. McCain's camp quoted the Washington Post from three separate articles when it made that accusation. Did Obama's camp ever ask for a retraction from WaPo? Are they even asking for one now? Nope.
Plus, Obama is the one clearly inciting racism by quoting Rush Limbaugh out of context and misrepresenting McCain's position on immigration.- sephiroth965, on 09/20/2008, -1/+1Honestly as much as I hate the McCain ad for it's lies, there really wasn't anything racist in the Raines ad. It's a bunch of *****. We shouldn't be sitting here crying racism at things that aren't. It distracts from the real issues.
- zombies187, on 09/20/2008, -1/+2If it is not a racist ad, you should show on BET. No, strike that. The DEMS should play it on BET. I'm sure it wouldn't offend anyone.
- oldgal, on 09/20/2008, -0/+1Having lived through the 60's and 70's, I have seen this tactic used too often, and I was stupid enough to think we might be past it. I do not think it a coincidence that in a 2 day period: this ad was released, the Obama waffle mix (the sponsor's from Tennessee said, "we just thought it was funny satire", yea, right) was sold at a Christian fundamentalist picnic in Colorado Springs, and a group of mostly young black people were heckling at an Obama rally - some of the signs said, "the KKK supports Obama", others had KKK on them but I couldn't see what they said. No self-respecting person would carry a KKK sign, much less a black person - it surfaces the absolute ugliest memories of past times. As far as I am concerned, it is up to the McCain supporters to prove to me that these people were not paid for their effort, until then I will continue to believe otherwise.
Yes, the McCain campaign has turned racist, because common decency is worth sacrificing to win and election.
- ElbowGeek, on 09/21/2008, -0/+0Indeed, don't doubt for a minute that there are republican operatives down in the deep south working with racist organizations to turn up the heat on the racist agenda.
- danielpyle, on 09/19/2008, -21/+10Maybe McCain needs a wider stance? I am a conservative.....but I don't ever recall McCain being one....or Bush for that matter. Until the Republicans actually find someone who is I will vote independent. I can't find one thing in either camp to produce any amount of confidence about the next four years. I am sure though that I do not want to see a narrow margin victory again so Obama fans step it up or McCain fans step it up. Play the race cards, play the sex cards there is not a full deck in either so good luck.
- Lukesed, on 09/20/2008, -0/+7"Maybe McCain needs a wider stance?"
Yes, the Log Cabin Republicans have clearly been underrepresented in this campaign. - crveatch, on 09/20/2008, -3/+2Dugg because I feel the Bury was undeserved.
- StarlessKnight, on 09/20/2008, -0/+2Either you believe they're run by the same people and either one winning doesn't matter, or... WTF mate? You want them to go as low as they can as they "race for the White House?" Assuming both of them did it still won't be enough to suddenly turn the majority of voters to a third party. If that alone were enough it would have happened already.
Why does the margin of victory matter as long as there aren't strong questions about the legitimacy of the election itself? (Suggestion for Voters and Legislatures: States you got 4 years between elections, maybe you should, I don't know, using that time to fix the system... assuming you actually care) - arkboysooner, on 09/20/2008, -0/+3I dugg you down because you are letting your conservative bias get in the way of understanding who is clearly the better candidate in this race.
- danielpyle, on 09/20/2008, -0/+1Thank you for your concern, but I hope I made it clear that John McCain simply isn't the candidate for me. It seems the whole circus was worsened by his sympathetic appointment of Sarah Palin and yes you read that correctly. I am saddened that my party has simply walked away from the base and frankly I do hope that Obama wins the election so that the party has time to figure out what the hell went wrong. Surely you can understand this. I don't think either candidate is strong enough or smart enough to straighten out the warped boards that will be left behind. I do however take heart in the fact that so many Americans have finally decided that America needs a governmental overhaul.
- mwmccullough, on 09/20/2008, -0/+1I don't think you're paying attention. Dig a little deeper.
- Lukesed, on 09/20/2008, -0/+7"Maybe McCain needs a wider stance?"
- coffeebaby, on 09/19/2008, -3/+67i disagree with Bellows... Obama is extremely intelligent. He knew how tight this race was going to be from the start and he's calculated and saved his ad funds for when he really needs to use them. it's not that his "mojo was missing" it's just that he knows how and when to time his ***** properly. americans have a very short attention span. it's better to save the big spending for the last few weeks.
- avataros, on 09/19/2008, -4/+86Rapid response, ***** yeah!

- IMTruckingUSA, on 09/20/2008, -7/+0Ron Paul was torpedoed by the Media and Talk Radio. The Media wanted McCain. Talk Radio wanted Guiliani, Romney. They were shoving them down our throats. How did McCain get top billing you know he is a Democrat in Republican clothing.

- vinod1978, on 09/20/2008, -1/+1In an election, even though it pains me to say it, 10-20 million dollars for the entire election cycle is peanuts. I'm not saying his popularity was "fake", but it was still tiny compared to most other candidates.

- refrus, on 09/20/2008, -37/+5Yesterday I heard Donald Trump endorsed McCain Palin on Larry King live. Today I see New York Post has endorsed McCain Palin. Rupert Murdock says Obama's policies are naive. Former prominent Hilary supporters Lynn Forester De Rothchild, Miguel D. Lausell and Luchy Secaira just endorsed John McCain and Sarah Palin.
I a former non prominent Hillary supporter am now endorsing McCain Palin. Is a trend building here or what?- LooseFur, on 09/20/2008, -1/+18Too little, much too late, just like Johnny Mac.

- Ajajadude, on 09/20/2008, -1/+24A former Hillary supporter now supporting McCain/Palin? Talk about opposite ends of the spectrum.
- strangewill, on 09/20/2008, -1/+5Well, you see, they're voting for a _WOMAN_ not on issues, or anything else that really matters in the election, thing is McCain did make an intelligent choice thinking a bunch of Americans would be stupid enough to jump on the Palin boat because of the vag.
Obviously the jump is clear evidence to support that the majority of the voting public doesn't actually give a flying ***** about issues.
- hierophantus, on 09/20/2008, -1/+23I seriously thought that post was building up to a conclusion like "With supporters like these, who needs detractors?"
But no, you thought those endorsements were worth touting. I honestly felt sad when I realized that.
But then when I saw your fake-ass "I supported Hillary but now I support PALIN-mccain" nonsense, I realized you were a paid hack. Sad in a different way. - Lukesed, on 09/20/2008, -1/+17"I a former non prominent Hillary supporter am now endorsing McCain Palin."
Which issues, exactly, have you carried over from her platform? - rhodydog, on 09/20/2008, -1/+7We all know Donald Trump is a fool, admittedly a fool with money. I consider all Republicans to be traitors, including Trump.
- bjornski, on 09/20/2008, -0/+3No kidding, a real estate investing, vulture-capitalist endorsing McCain?
Color me surprised.
He knows who offers HIM the better tax breaks.... - strangewill, on 09/20/2008, -1/+4Well, and where is the surprise that Trump would vote for the guy to tax him the least? Why would he care how the 98% of America does, he's not part of it.
- bjornski, on 09/20/2008, -0/+3No kidding, a real estate investing, vulture-capitalist endorsing McCain?
- vinod1978, on 09/20/2008, -1/+6Not really...Trump wants McCain because he makes over $250,000 a year. For the 89% of Americans that make UNDER this amount it's not an issue. Republicans portray his tax increases as people making 50k a year are going to be paying more. It's just a farse because there isn't a real issue to go after Obama about.
A trend? Not that I see - at least if you go by any of the new polls. Obama is up, and closing on ground in areas that were though to be 100% republican like Ohio & Virginia. So if anything there is a trend that traditional republican voters are switching to Obama. McCain supports Bush's economic policies, and Americans know it. Let's just hope enough Americans turn out in November to vote for a candidate that actually has a shot of turning this country around. - cattletracks, on 09/20/2008, -0/+2It's all about the money. Of course the top 2% that will actually benefit from McCain's "tax cuts" that care more about their money than they do the welfare of the country are going to flock to him. The rest of us 98 percenters shouldn't be following suit if we have a brain in our head.

- OddMoniker, on 09/20/2008, -0/+16Also, why is it you McCainheads always have nasty things to say about Obama, but never anything intellegent to say about McCain? - ajames01, on 09/20/2008, -18/+1Well written speeches (which were not written by him) may win votes but don't lead countries.
Hitler inspired many people himself and was a "successful" leader but do we want him in power? am I right? - ajames01, on 09/20/2008, -14/+1"Also, why is it you McCainheads always have nasty things to say about Obama, but never anything intellegent to say about McCain?"
How easy it would be to change McCainheads to Obamabots and Obama to McCain and the same be true for you as well?
This is politics, and if you want to discuss the issues then lets do that. I will have much to say about McCain. The generous amount of Palin/McCain bashing articles on digg gives me the impression that real issues don't really matter here. - scubaman5000, on 09/20/2008, -0/+13You can knock Obama for his policies but trying to knock him for his leadership abilities is ridiculous. Obama has inspired millions to get up off their ass and get involved in taking a more proactive role in choosing our next president. The Democratic primaries broke records for the amount of involvement and it wasn't Hillary that was leading the charge. By contrast look at McCain and his forced grimace as he stands uncomfortably in front of his audience clearly struggling to get through his speech.
When it comes to the ability to lead and inspire Obama blows McCain away. - ajames01, on 09/20/2008, -15/+1"Obama has inspired millions to get up off their ass and get involved in taking a more proactive role in choosing our next president."
By planning on sending text messages to remind his apathetic young voters to get off the couch and vote?? A wonderful way to "inspire" i suppose.
"By contrast look at McCain and his forced grimace as he stands uncomfortably in front of his audience clearly struggling to get through his speech."
Really? I must have missed this. I did catch Obama repeating his crutch of a teleprompter verbatim though. What we he do without it? Oh thats right, we've seen his real "inspirational" speaking skills.
"When it comes to the ability to lead and inspire Obama blows McCain away."
What has Obama really led? Explain... - arkboysooner, on 09/20/2008, -0/+12Your facts are wrong. Obama writes his speeches and if you haven't seen how Obama has inspired people all over this country you haven't been paying attention. Please support your arguments with facts so you have something to go on.
- fugazied, on 09/20/2008, -0/+8@ajames01 Obama writes his speeches and has written a few books and numerous articles. He is a very smart man whose bio shows more than McCain's barely passing military academy then becoming a POW. - RRJackson, on 09/20/2008, -13/+2Who cares what wins the election for McCain as long as he wins? I don't mind if he wins through massive voter fraud. Or having Obama sent to Gitmo before the first debate. Whatever keeps Obama out of the White House works fine for me.

AND lobbied for the SAME deregulation that McCain supports and Obama opposes.
- stranglethorne, on 09/20/2008, -28/+3To all you naive Obama fanatics,
Have you even looked at Obama's foreign policy? He wants to expand the war in Afghanistan and send ten's of thousands of more U.S. troops over there.
So he's gona cut back in Iraq (not fully withdraw) --> then send all the tired and pissed off soldiers off to another foreign land to fight a war that even NATO admit they aren't winning. The afghanistan war will not end for another 20+ years. You can expect more 1000's of dead U.S. troops if not 10,000's of dead due to the ghastly length of this encounter.
Congrats for keeping the status quo of $1 trillion a year on foreign wars.
Why are we into nation building? It's not part of our constitution. Why do we take the role of policeman of the world?
Obama fails to address the monetary policy of the U.S.
Way to fail core economics obama.. you can all always piss around the edges by talking about lowering taxes for the middle-class and similar types of *****. But the core negative effect is the hidden-inflation tax.
Obama fails at understanding the core elements which are ruining our economy. He will only make things worse. He will encourage more FED loans and more war spending
Please, do not get sucked in by his "change" *****.

- malex, on 09/20/2008, -0/+8You know, even if I agreed with your analysis, which I don't, you still haven't given us any reason to vote for McCain. No reason to excuse his support for Bush, his dishonest campaign, or his blatantly political and irresponsible choice for VP.
We have reasons to support our candidate. Your only support for McCain is your fear of Obama. That's why we're going to win.- ajames01, on 09/20/2008, -7/+1His blatantly political irresponsible choice for VP? Have you heard Biden speak? Not a day goes by without him running his idiotic mouth. I would be ashamed to support that man. I could write a book on the mistakes Biden has made in the past week.
We also have many reasons to support our candidate as well. The biggest reason is Obama himself... and it's not out of "fear" of Obama himself but the fear of his inexperience leading our country. - StarlessKnight, on 09/20/2008, -0/+8@ajames01: And your fear of Palin leading the country in the event McCain were to die in office? Where's that? Let's be honest here.
Obama is relatively new on the scene. Palin's relatively new on the scene.
Obama's a Senator. Palin's a Governor.
Obama's been working on the national level for a few years. Palin's been working on the State level for a few years.
Obama's been under national scrutiny for over a year. Palin's been under national scrutiny for a little over a month.
One of the worst things that ever happened to Obama's candidacy? His pastor's views. One of the worst things that ever happened to Palin's candidacy? Well she is being investigated for an act that could have her thrown out of office.
Obama is an eloquent speaker who appears to understand the issues and/or has good advisers that keep him up to date. Palin does not--no need to expound on that point.
Obama's suggested plans or ideas ahead of time during his candidacy that have actually come to light under Bush's Administration. Palin has not (again, little over a month to know her).
Obama is running for President and Palin is running for Vice-President, but again what happens if it becomes President Palin?
- ajames01, on 09/20/2008, -7/+1His blatantly political irresponsible choice for VP? Have you heard Biden speak? Not a day goes by without him running his idiotic mouth. I would be ashamed to support that man. I could write a book on the mistakes Biden has made in the past week.
- FreddieD, on 09/20/2008, -1/+11What?! He wants to spend more time in the country with the regime that actually attacked us? I'm outraged!
- StarlessKnight, on 09/20/2008, -0/+2Yes, everyone, look through the ***** and realize McCain isn't interested in withdrawing or redeploying the troops home at all. We're going to stay in both theaters under the false hope of keeping the terrorists "over there" so we don't have to "fight them over here." So selfless of us, isn't it? We're going to focus on Iraq because that's right next to Iran, meanwhile Afghan is still going to be the forgotten, neglected, and abused step-child of these wars despite it being the first theater in this so-called "War on Terror" as we sought Al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden (neither of which were in Iraq prior to invasion nor technically are now since AQ in Iraq is a separate group); instead of finishing that (seemingly) we diverted our forces to an unrelated theater over intelligence that wasn't just incorrect but flat out wrong because someone *cough* decided to cherry pick. So we bombed the hell out of them for WMDs that didn't exist over a threat that wouldn't have been in a country we were strangling directly or indirectly by sanctions involving a Dictatorship that didn't give a damn (and no, we didn't go there to liberate the Iraqis, but that was a convenient cover once everything else fell apart).
Now, McCain may not have an option now with this time table even the Bush Administration is being forced to chew on may come into effect--the agreement that Obama spoke of before it happened. So maybe he'll change his tune, but this was the man that before an audience said he expects to call upon them. He anticipates this War on Terror growing (and why shouldn't it, a war on terror will never ever ever ever end--ever). Concerned about spending money on war? You might want to pay attention to the candidate who isn't saying "we may need to defend our selves or our allies," but is saying "there'll be war." Given the fact America has a recent trend of going to war every generation (~30 years, ~10 apart in the last two decades) he's right, but if the trend holds it won't be on his watch (unless you believe the tough talk about Iran and Russia in which case it's coming to a beach near you). - fugazied, on 09/20/2008, -1/+2No one will conquer Afghanistan. - vinod1978, on 09/20/2008, -0/+41. Yes, Obama has said before and he'll say it again. If we want to get the people that attacked us on 9/11 we have to go to Afghanistan and knock on Pakistan's door to get cooperation. Are you saying that you don't think we should go to Afghanistan to get the terrorists that actually attacked us?
2. Obama has addressed the economic issues. He's already addressed and stated that he would be regulation back into the industry where Gramm/McCain & Bush have removed it. Obama needs to attack harder. I'm an Obama supporter, but he needs to win more votes particularly from white women, and latinos. The way to do that is to nail McCain/Palin on their abortion stance, their position on the Iraq war, and McCain/Gramm's role in our economic problems. - buddysystem, on 09/20/2008, -1/+4I study cognitive science and linguistics, and as an Obama supporter, I don't think his approach in this particular ad is the right one. He uses McCain's frame of "Fundamentally strong" and the more people hear that, the more they'll believe it, even if the facts say otherwise. Better to counter with direct video of McCain saying he doesn't understand the economy or Fiorino saying McCain can't run a company. Then say McCain is without a clue without repeating the "fundamental" line.
- br0ck, on 09/20/2008, -0/+3What about the fundamental = fundamentalist link mentioned in the article? Also, by highlighting the word fundamentalist they can remind people how McCain lied about what fundamentals means without just saying 'he lied'.
- bicyclethief, on 09/20/2008, -0/+3You're forgetting that many Americans are actually hurting from this economy.
For them, being told that the economy is still "fundamentally strong" must be like a slap in the face.

- PhoenixAvatar2, on 09/20/2008, -7/+1I don't get how it was a response ad. Didn't seem to respond to anything that was in McCain's ad, just made similar accusations about him.
- SomeRandomGuy, on 09/20/2008, -0/+6It was an ad made in reponse to McCain's ad, hence, it's a response ad.
It's not like McCain's ad asked questions, and Obama's ad replied.
When someone baselessly insults you, you don't respond by telling them how their insult is incorrect, you respond by throwing out a better insult of your own, in this case it's:
McCain: Obama's economic advisors suck.
Obama: McCain's economic advisors suck worse. And they called you whiners. - arkboysooner, on 09/20/2008, -1/+1I agree, I don't see how this commercial is a "home run." or a good response to mccain's ad.

- melfster, on 09/20/2008, -1/+23Why can't you Republicans admit you nominated a turd. I can't think of a more dishonarable politician then McCain who has used tacitcs that he himself detested in 2000 against Bush. He is now using using Carl Rove tactics to try steel the election. Obama wanted to run a clean race but he insisted that his opponents do like wise. He also said he would push back hard if challenged and he has don so.

- GassyTurd, on 09/20/2008, -1/+1You can say that again.
- deadbaby, on 09/20/2008, -1/+5The McCain campaign's advertising strategy is just all over the map. It's the kind of thing you look at and you can't be sure if it's moronic or brilliant. They're throwing all these different messages out there -- most of which are flat out untrue and very easy for the Obama campaign to respond to, or are just incredibly contradictory thanks to Palin's presence on the ticket. I do believe this is the first McCain ad since the convention to attack Obama's experience which is a sign to me the McCain people are trying to flee back to the only attack that seemed to work for them in the past. I just don't see how they can win on that argument alone. If they had went with a more experienced VP it could have been the crucial deciding factor in the election but it's hard to look at McCain and see him as someone who is stable enough to be President. He seems to lack focus and consistency and that further undermines his claims to be more experienced.
- Eloosive, on 09/20/2008, -1/+8McCain must have forgotten that some of his own advisers and lobbyists in his campaign are from Fannie Mae /Freddy Mac. I found this interesting nugget out on Rachel Maddow's show. Probably wouldn't have on Hannity and Combs on Faux News. Maybe in the commercial he's actually attacking himself. It's an insult to the American people. If he really knows what he's doing, he is counting on voters to be stupid, racist, or not capable of using the intertubes to research his claims. Which is intrinsically a stupid assumption or miscalculation. The hilariousness of it is, a mass majority of people, either fooled or lacking reasoning skills, voted for Bush, on the second term. So I wouldn't count McCain out. 8 years and a big socialist style bailout due to regulation that should have been in place. Regulation McCain was apparently against before now professing how he's for it. I wonder sometimes if folks who voted for Bush have regret at all. It's easy for the elephants to blame donkeys but when you've got a president like Bush vetoing anything contrary to his administrations horrible economic policy that mostly benefits his cronies, it's no wonder the crisis ended up where it did. One can only hope people want real change. McCain has a long history or experience. He might have done great things, but he's also had a lot of time in his experience to make wrong moves as well.
- truthfightsback, on 09/20/2008, -2/+11Barack said it all today in a speech, on the economy - It was chilling. He just plain told us the truth, which is what we need.
“John McCain’s talked about privatizing social security,” he said. “Imagine if you had some of your social security money in the stock market right now, how you’d be feeling about the prospects or your retirement. Without social security half of elderly women would be living in poverty. Half. If my opponent had his way millions of Americans would have had their social security tied to stock market this week. Millions would have watched as the market tumbled and their nest egg disappeared before their eyes." - AndySavage, on 09/20/2008, -1/+10I lol'd at the visual racial overtones in the McCain ad.. WHOAAA SCARY BLACK MAN FACES, IN MULTIPLE ANGLES, DONT VOTE FOR THIS GUY
- fugazied, on 09/20/2008, -0/+2Scary thing is, it works. Scared old white women voting for McCain is what may nudge him in. Let's hope not.
- LukeUlrich, on 09/20/2008, -0/+6Wow. This ad is brilliance. I never thought I'd actually enjoy a commercial, but this one is really good.
This time around, the democrats have learned something from the Republicans -- The American people in general are pretty stupid and ignorant. If you have something of importance, say it over, and over, and over, and over, and over again.

I can't help but feel that it's this exact mentality that flaws and clouds the arguments for any American's view in regards to what is at stake as a whole. We are a Country, not two separate teams fighting for dominance through elimination. Are we? Is that how we'll be remembered in the history books?
If this kind of mentality persists than the next logical step is to hurdle headlong into physical division as people polarize into what they think 'America' should be. A civil war isn't what this country needs, especially when the vultures of other nations are re-tooling their reactors and pushing small guy countries like georgia around as asian money-makers buy up our debt and begin to tighten their chain around our necks all the while eyeing a nation of scrapping whiners and chest-beaters who will likely do the dirtier part of strife on all the Main st.s of America and ultimately making occupation that much easier for them in the end.
*sips some water*
On that note, kudos to the marketing media peeps that crafted the ads. As usual, the ad-makers tend to deserve more credit for their craft than the business' own product that they're pandering.

The Palin/McCain ticket is a joke! They are a joke in the internationl press; McLame is too darned OLD and Failin is to darned DUMB!
Here are a few points I'd like to make public:
1) I think there should be an age limit for anyone aspiring to run for the POTUS. Somewhere between 40 - 65 should be a good starting point. I thing the sheer stress of campaigning is begining to take its toll on McCain; some of the interviews he has been giving recently is highlighting this fact!
2) I think Nacny PfootingHauer (McCains top political stratigists) should be deep-fried in oil! She NEVER answers a question straight; always evading and evading; so sicking to watch!
3) What on Earth do the Palins have to hide up there in the Troopergate scandal? The McCain team have sent their 'heavy-mob' up there to intimidate and close-down the investigation. My-oh-My. Whatever next?- Lamadave222, on 09/20/2008, -1/+0on point 3...nothing....chief executives are allowed to fire whoever the ***** they want, its called serving at the pleasure of the governor.....perhaps you remember a President who fired all the US attorneys? Don't forget that the "investigation" is being lead by Demokrats with the aid of corrupt Republican who Palin pissed off when she quit the Oil and Gas Commission because they were corrupt. And among the voters of Alaska - 80% approval.
on point 2...guess you have missed the Goebbels like activities of Obama's media consultants including the fraudulent depiction of McCain's views on immigration and trying to tie him to a PARODY by Rush Limbaugh that was actually quoting MEXICAN immigration policy. But Obama (what birth certificate) and his people will never dare to state their actual political philosophy because they don't believe a Marxist can be elected or they are to stupid to know they are Marxists.

- mikesoba, on 09/20/2008, -0/+4If McCain says it, iyou can bank on it being a lie - if your bank is still in business.
- Lamadave222, on 09/20/2008, -2/+0if he wins the united states will be an Obamanation in the eyes of God
- cattletracks, on 09/20/2008, -0/+1So God prefers a cabinet of people willing to sell their own soul to get elected? God loves liars, cheaters, and thieves? McCain and Palin have proven themselves to be less than honorable with no regard for the law or the truth.
- enantiodromia, on 09/20/2008, -0/+1actually God doesn't care about State Politics. Jesus said so himself. Try reading that book you keep hitting people in the face with. it's pretty interesting.
- TargetBoy, on 09/20/2008, -0/+2After discussing the election cycle with my 80-yr old mother, I can tell you the republicans' tactics are working. "I don't know who to believe" and never saw any critical response to McCain's charges from the media, so they must be true. The older generation doesn't realize that the network news isn't the organization of Murrow, it is the just a blank slate for talking heads and spinmeisters to write on.
So, if your parents are leaning republican, make sure they know about all the lies, that what is destroying their retirement account value is a direct result of republican policies and political games.
The democrats may have had the majority for the last two years, but when you can't override a veto or a filibusterer, then it is still easy for the minority party to work with the president to negate your agenda. - xman8, on 09/20/2008, -2/+2Obama is a FAKE!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PsIW7OYHdGo - kabes, on 09/20/2008, -0/+3Talk about rapid response!!! Only 3 hours? Very impressive.
- MrDoug, on 09/21/2008, -0/+2I sure hope that he's planning on using the majority of the money he has calling McCain out ad-by-ad...all October long. If there is an ad that lies, show it in the corner while Obama pauses it and tells the people how full of crap that is. If McCain "approves" those messages, he ought to be called to task on them.
Just like Jimmy Smitts in the West Wing. "You won't hear an ad from now on that isn't me addressing you directly." - KDX200rider, on 09/21/2008, -4/+1More sewage spam from the Crappington Post...when are you liberals going to learn, you cannot trust the crap they push.
- SiL3ncer, on 09/21/2008, -0/+1Right on Obama/Biden, I like the quickness in responding. McCain and his cronies can't have it their way.
