Palin Charged Taxpayers $13k to Attend Her Church

In fact most of the founding fathers and church leaders originally had separation of church & state ideals BECAUSE they felt that tying their precious deeply held beliefs to the fortunes of one government faction or another had ALWAYS had the effect of weakening their religion.
    And the fiercest proponents of these ideals at the founding of our country were the EVANGELICALS!

    Palin has spent far less on travel than her predecessor, former Gov. Frank Murkowski, who spent $463,000 on travel in 2006. Palin spent $93,000 last year, records show.

    • AngelaQ, on 10/11/2008, -0/+1Actually, what has come out is that if she were a regular employee who was stationed in one location and getting a per diem for mostly working at another, she would have been reassigned, rather than paying her a per diem for nothing. Only because she has no supervisor was she able to do this.

      And she didn't declare the per diem on her taxes as income, so they're investigating that, too.
