Palin under fire -- pastor waged a WITCH-HUNT!
dailymail.co.uk — Vice-presidential pick Sarah Palin is known for her strident views on religion and the power of prayer. But her credibility is once again being questioned after a visiting African pastor she credits with helping her political career was revealed to have waged a witch-hunt against a woman who was said to cause car crashes with her "demonic spells.

- Batfishy, on 09/20/2008, -1/+35I don't like that "spiritual warfare" stuff one bit.
- iseerightards, on 09/20/2008, -3/+2Yeah, ignorance on ignorance violence is pointless.
- muckemuck, on 09/20/2008, -3/+26Eh.. yeah, but... How many news broadcasts talking about the recent bailouts have brought up that little Keating 5 mess that cost us taxpayers 2.6 Billion? http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/politics/200 ...
The "liberal media" will talk about this "witch hunt" story a little and offend her supporters and further rally her troops. Meanwhile the person who is actually running for President will not be scrutinized. The neo-conservatives planned this well.- Patrikc325, on 09/20/2008, -2/+92.6 billion how quaint. Now we are looking at up to and above 1 trillion.
- Batfishy, on 09/20/2008, -1/+9It's crazy. I don't even understand that kind of money and it gives me a headache.
- napshock, on 09/20/2008, -0/+12.6 billion invested in a 4% CD, compounded annualy for 25 years is worth:
$6,931,174,461.87
still no 1 trillion tho :(
- MarkEarhart, on 09/20/2008, -14/+9I don't know how credible this is, or if she knew about the witch hunting. I do know that "witch hunting" as in Wiccans is idiotic. As a Christian I have friends on line who are Wiccans, practice Thelema, and every other form of religion including none at all. They all know what I believe and that I don't agree with them. I also don't approve of everything that I do. Jesus never said "go out and kill sinners". If that was required we would all have to commit suicide as well. In true Christianity judgement is up to God. If you ask my my opinion of what you are doing and I don't approve I'll tell you so, but I'm not going around pointing fingers.
Even if Palin had no knowledge of such a thing and I liked McCain, which I don't, I wouldn't vote for them simply because of her flying an Israeli flag. This is not the United States of Israel!! I wouldn't vote for a Zionist of any party!!! I could name a thousand other reasons why the woman is unfit for public office, but this is enough for me.- angeladtao, on 09/20/2008, -1/+1It's refreshing to hear you say that judgment is up to God. I, too, from my my Christianity-based faith cringe when I read or hear others who call themselves Christians of one denomination or another sitting in judgment of others. I think it is time to stop with the telling others what they should or should not be doing and to start with the "that which you do unto the least of these, you do unto me". I know you know where in the Bible that comes from. Sen. Obama has said that this verse is where he bases his political philosophy. It has long been where I base mine, too. I knew he was the best choice for our country for sure when I heard him say that. Good post!

- IMTruckingUSA, on 09/20/2008, -12/+5Ever since Palin was named as VP candidate by McCain she has been under constant attack. This is just one more angle for an attack. They always let Obama slide on by. We won't let the Marxist slide. Democrats should be voting for McCain, he's one of them.
- cedarbaydave, on 09/20/2008, -2/+3"The Electorate Slide"
- iseerightards, on 09/20/2008, -4/+11Let me help you with that:
"Ever since Palin was named as VP candidate she has been questioned on every aspect of her life, just as the GOP does to Dem candidates. Sadly, she has come up short over and over, and in fact appears to be just another power abusing Republican".
There. You rightards have SUCH a hard time with the truth.
Oh, and McCain is a Dem like Mr. T was a Klan member. - Skrimshaw, on 09/20/2008, -0/+2I was going to reply to this, but then realized I'm really not sure what you're talking about.

- dildoolielly, on 09/20/2008, -7/+14Speaking of the "power of prayer"
Why has Bible-God NEVER EVER in the recorded history of humans, healed an amputee?
Does Bible-God answer prayers? According to believers, the answer is certainly yes.
For example, at any Christian bookstore you can find hundreds of books about the power of prayer. On the Internet you can find thousands of testimonials to the many ways that Bible-God works in our lives today. Even large city newspapers and national magazines run stories about answered prayers. Bible-God seems to be interacting with our world and answering millions of prayers on planet Earth every day.
Now that the Internets has arrived, we can start adding pieces of new evidence showing us that Bible-God does not exist. For example, we have the case of amputees. If Bible-God is real, it is apparent that there is something very odd about amputees. Bible-God is supposedly answering millions of prayers on earth every day, but he completely ignores amputated limbs and refuses to restore them. That makes no sense according to the Standard Model of Bible-God and Jesus' statements in the Bible.
God's treatment of amputees is inexplicable if Bible-God exists, but makes a lot of sense if Bible-God is imaginary.
It is not odd to think Bible-God does not exist. And the non-evidence certainly couldn't justify burning in hell for eternity for not "believing" in Him.
That is, if you require evidence. We all can pretend all we want. - dildoolielly, on 09/20/2008, -4/+12"We live in a twisted world, where right is wrong and wrong reigns supreme. It is a chilling fact that most of the world's leaders believe in nonsensical fairytales about the nature of reality. They believe in Gods that do not exist, and religions that could not possibly be true. We are driven to war after war, violence on top of violence to appease madmen who believe in gory mythologies. These men and women are called Christians, Muslims and Jews."
- welliwonder, on 09/20/2008, -2/+20Sarah Palin is a very dangerous woman given enough power.

- redcolumbine, on 09/20/2008, -5/+9Too tangential. A distraction not worth attention. Sure, she's a wack job in a wack church that attracts other wack jobs, but we already knew that.
- jitterbits, on 09/20/2008, -4/+4It is definitely worthy of attention if she is, indeed, part of the elected ticket.
What if instead of plated vehicles and defense equipment sent to the troops, she and her ilk pray for the armor of God to be bestowed upon them?
An episode of Trading Spouses effectively showed one slightly mad woman who was also a warrior of God.- Stevanoski, on 09/20/2008, -2/+4What if Obama prays to Allah, is that a concern? Of course not. You just a hater, and you have picked Palin as your target. Please try to use logic in your next post or you will come off looking foolish, again.
- jitterbits, on 09/20/2008, -1/+2WTF? Even if your point about Obama being a muslim had any validity, which it doesn't, I have no problem with personal faith whatsoever. It's bringing it into the public sector that concerns me.
- jitterbits, on 09/20/2008, -4/+4It is definitely worthy of attention if she is, indeed, part of the elected ticket.

She's more likely to take us back to a much simpler time when they stoned you to death for being an adultress or burned you at the stake for being a witch. Better warn Nancy Reagan to ditch her astrologer!
- hoadhead, on 09/20/2008, -6/+2Gezo Bezo, why don't you all give it a rest and Digg up more Ninga Cats, the front page of Digg is really starting to be a bore. - 5celery, on 09/20/2008, -1/+1America needs to know: does she advocate shooting witches from the air in low flying planes? Does Sarah herself field dress dead witches?

"Folksy, and "Something American Families Can Relate To" - muckemuck, on 09/20/2008, -2/+5ok, Dugg because my fellow Republicans need to know she's a freaking nutcase and thinking that a more conservative VP is going to balance out the neo-conservative McCain is just plain wrong. She will have NO effect on his positions on the critical issues.
- NotYourProdigy, on 09/20/2008, -2/+1So now the parties are even. I don't want to here sh!t about Wright or this guy ever again.
