- PReitz, on 10/01/2008, -0/+20I was just about to get that app until I got to the part of the article that said CBS was going to step up their moderation, and remove those submissions. That looked like news worth watching :)
- harharharhar, on 10/02/2008, -1/+6hahaha
- drewX2, on 10/02/2008, -0/+49More pics or it didn't happen! :)
- vango, on 10/02/2008, -3/+8vid or it didnt happen
- craeyon, on 10/02/2008, -6/+6iphone is incapable of recording video
- Philbert, on 10/02/2008, -3/+3What, do you work for Apple?
- craeyon, on 10/02/2008, -5/+4what does that have to do with anything i said above. do I have to spell it out to you like you are in 6th grade or something? AT THIS POINT IN TIME AND WHAT TECHNOLOGY CAN DO FOR IPHONE, THE DEVICE IS LIMITED TO JUST TAKING PICTURES. DUE TO VARIOUS INCONSISTENCIES IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE IPHONE, APPLE DECIDED THAT IT WOULD BE UNFIT FOR THE IPHONE TO HAVE VIDEO RECORDING CAPABILITIES AND THUS IT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE CURRENT GENERATION OF IPHONES.
There.. happy? - MuddyBulldog, on 10/02/2008, -1/+3Loud but WRONG. An out of the box iPhone can't do video but it's a simple software modification away.
- craeyon, on 10/02/2008, -0/+0whoops.. my bad.. I love it when people stretch things and blow them out of proportion
and by people I mean me...
- craeyon, on 10/02/2008, -6/+6iphone is incapable of recording video
- zackintosh, on 10/02/2008, -1/+2Hold home + sleep for 1 sec to take screenshots.
- lukas88, on 10/02/2008, -3/+7I'm sorry, but if you don't think that picture is newsworthy, I feel bad for you. All day long I am hoping for something like this to just happen.
- FellateMeFreddy, on 10/02/2008, -2/+5The best iphone porn app.
- holyskeleton, on 10/02/2008, -2/+39NSFW Pics or GTFO.
- gozroth, on 10/02/2008, -2/+16 "Looks to me like Facebook run amok, but even Facebook has a moderator."
is it me or did he just make his own point invalid? - bsingle, on 10/02/2008, -14/+1Why is it only slutty women who put pics online? Maybe the news just reports on it to shock old folks, or maybe guys really are cowards. Come on, guys, let's see some NSFW pics of you! (Sexypeople only...)
- belebih, on 10/02/2008, -2/+4I wish I could bury you twice. Once for asking for nude dude pics and a second time for being a shallow bastard.
- jasmus, on 10/02/2008, -1/+41BREAKING: LOL, LOOK AT MY CAT!!!!!!!
- rSm00th, on 10/02/2008, -0/+9"In addition to CBS, Fox News, CNN and The Associated Press all have iPhone apps that allow users to submit video of breaking news. "
O, rly? Since when did the iPhone take video?- piwy, on 10/02/2008, -1/+1The fact that it's not in there by default does not mean someone can't code a video recording feature in their app. qik did it.
Now since those apps are probably in the appstore they probably don't have that feature tho. - mk2ja, on 10/02/2008, -1/+1AND from that same quote - CNN doesn't have an iPhone app out... yet. But I know that it is a senior project for some people at my college (Rose-Hulman) to develop one! One guy is graduating early in November, and I'll actually be taking his place in the team for the rest of the academic year. And with a free MacBook Pro and iPhone for development purposes, I'm pretty excited to get to work on a project for CNN!

- CreativeGuy, on 10/02/2008, -0/+1Zzzzzzzzzzzz!
- jlimon, on 10/02/2008, -0/+3"E-mails Google for comment had not been returned by press time."
Comment jlimon posted now. - heystoopid, on 10/02/2008, -8/+3So who would have thought those wankers who buy Apple's over priced toy phone were such a randy AC DC lot of voyeurs .

- gospe1337, on 10/02/2008, -0/+2Tons of not-newsworthy content? Please, CBS! Digg is the first and the best for that.
- haeber, on 10/02/2008, -0/+1Thank You. CBS stole my content once, so I consider this adequate recompense for their past actions. Karma. Gotta love it.
- lokithefirst, on 10/02/2008, -0/+1Too bad the iPhone doesn't have video or these stories would be even more *newsworthy*!
- MrFurious2k, on 10/02/2008, -2/+1Worthless without pictures.
- PReitz, on 10/02/2008, -1/+1OK, I have to admit I did check out the app (it was free), and to answer the argument about video....yes it does have videos, and perhaps some people should look up the words "submit" and "record" to learn the difference. Many of the videos were recorded with some other device and then uploaded to the iphone.
- mizzouglen, on 10/02/2008, -0/+0Only a matter of time before something like this happened to the big boys...
Hopefully it's a warning for others to step up their security before this happens. - JimmyTheKid, on 10/02/2008, -0/+2Welcome to the internet!!
- heccubus, on 10/02/2008, -0/+1Okay, so they decided to let people install something on their phone that will let them take pictures and immediately post them online. They came up with this, and they DIDN'T see something like this happening? They're either stupid or remarkably naive.
- Blacksoth, on 10/02/2008, -0/+1User promoted un-newsworthy news? Sounds like Digg.
- NoSalt, on 10/02/2008, -0/+1I'm gonna need to see that video for myself to make an informed decision.
