      and i cant find anywhere if i have too keep a sim card in there?
      and for selling purposes do i keep mine sim card in when using pwnage or the person im selling too.
      i did it with out the sim card and it has the pineapple logo and after it shows my USB and says connect to itunes.
      HELPPP?

    Don't bother. I did this yesterday, and am now getting ready to roll back to 1.1.4. The reason? All the apps that were part of my love of the iPhone.. GONE.. now I can by the flashlight application for $5.. BS.

    Most of the community built applications have not yet been ported to 2.0, and I am not sure if most will be.

        btw, apps are being converted to the 2.0 filesystem all the time now, every day there are a few new ones ported - it's been what, a few days since the release of the pwnage tool? Convert over and help test some of this stuff!!!

      Exactly - I think the App Store, although it won't include many apps that we loved, is the nail in the iPhone jailbreak-community's coffin.
    • j4nj1m3n3z, on 07/22/2008, -0/+2Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if most of the community built apps will be ported to 2.0. I'm pretty sure that some developers are working on their apps right now. Summerboard and Customize are apps that you're not going to get on the app store anytime soon.

    • Unksean, on 07/26/2008, -0/+1when you're creating the .ipsw make sure to uncheck the activate iphone (or something similar to that) and the youtube option. After that it should work fine.

    You can get the files that this Windows (XP & Vista) walkthrough talks about on the Internet. The best place we found them were on torrent sites. The torrent is 238 MB to download.
