      if i had to choose, i'd choose the second one because he also has a daughter at home. He can make a 6 figure income from his house and still spend a lot more time with his daughter.

  • novemberwhiskey, on 07/21/2008, -2/+0He isn't the first doctor to quit medicine to start an internet business. There was another (Korean btw) doctor who quit to buy and sell domain names. I believe his net worth was $300M+ from that job.

    I would have made the same choice considering how much you have to put into medicine relative to how much money you get out of it (yes, yes, I know there are other things...but let's keep the parameters quantitative).

Do you ever think what you could actually accomplish in real life if you diverted all that energy towards solving real world situations and problems and making a real difference and perhaps leaving a legacy. Instead you toil relentlessly to fill that black seething hole in your heart with your fake online friends and internet kudos and faux celebrity status that exists only in your head because when you go out at night to the local 7-11 for a cup of coffee and your arm brushes up against the uniform of an EMT who is stopping for a second to grab a bottle of water....or a nurse grabbing a quick bite while working a double shift in the ER you know that in real life no one knows who you are..... and today you didn't make a difference.... and that in the end you are just as insignificant as the next guy who thinks what he types matters to someone else....

He took up space in a medical program that could've been given to train a serious person who who entered medicine to help others -- not to make money. This man epitomizes all that is wrong in the American healthcare system -- and educational system. What an *****. What pisses me off more is that the NY Times praises this ***** as if he was doing the right thing. What's wrong with the world.

It's so simple. Eat natural foods for your natural body and you'll be fine. Stop eating that fake crap that you buy that is processed and canned.
