- clak, on 10/17/2007, -0/+1God, people are so idiotic. Steve Jobs didn't suddenly have a "change of heart." He has repeatedly said that support for the iPhone was being delayed because of security concerns. When he introduced the iPhone back in January, he had to divert his programmers from OS X, so that the iPhone would ship on time. If they had waited until there was an SDK for the iPhone it wouldn't have been released on time. That's all that happened here folks. Get a Grip.
After the iPhone was released, Jobs put those same programmers back to work on Leopard. Now that Leopard is about to be released, those programmers can go back to working on the iPhone SDK. - alexdc, on 10/18/2007, -0/+0In other words, you don't think it's significant news? Why not announce the SDK anyway if they had planned to make one in the first place?
- alexdc, on 10/18/2007, -0/+0Considering this press release from Apple months ago, this SDK *is* a change of heart
