    The iTunes remote works by setting up an app on the macbook (or other mac) that starts as a server on its chosen port. Then in safari on the iphone you browse your local IP:{specified port} and login. Now you have access to the local computer and can control iTunes or even browse the fileserver.

    But I think the non-mentioned iPhone Remote(telekinesis) also sounds cool to be able to:

    # Screen capture with mouse click and basic typing support

    # Browse your files
    # Run applescript remotely
    # iSight image capture
