Not supporting a proprietary technology from a competitor isn't the same thing as not having "all the parts of the Internet." People were upset when Apple sold computers without floppy drives, too.
Maybe Flash and Java are here forever, and you can't have the web without them. Maybe Apple is right, and they're transitional technologies that will go away. Who knows. The point is, the ruling was an arbitrary one.
