Video: Install a hard drive in a Mac Pro in under 5 minutes watch!
video.gearlive.com — This video tutorial shows how ingenius Apple's design philosophy is. You can add a terabyte of storage to a Mac Pro, by way of a hard drive upgrade, in less time than it takes to shut down and reboot your computer.

- rebotfc, on 05/22/2008, -0/+2Shoulda mentioned that you need a SATA drive. Mac Pro case is brilliant though, access is so easy for memory / hard disks.
- andru, on 05/22/2008, -0/+2True, but I just figured most drives purchased these days are SATA drives ;)
- clak, on 05/22/2008, -0/+2When people ask me what's so great about Mac hardware, I always point out the superior design and they never quite get it. "But... but..." they say, "it's just another PC." That's like saying a BMW is just another car. No, the design is better people. This video is a good example. I have a G5 that's 5 years old and I've haven't had one hardware problem yet. NOT ONE. That's good design and that's what you pay for when you buy an Apple computer.
The resell value is pretty great too.- andru, on 05/23/2008, -0/+1Oh, resale value is fantastic. You can still even get a good amount for it today ;)
- dotpage, on 05/23/2008, -0/+1Yes, it is the best desktop out there now, but if you need to watch this video to figure it out how to add or upgrade drives in this machine you don't deserve one..
- barkerja, on 05/23/2008, -0/+1'Nuff said!
- andru, on 05/23/2008, -0/+1Yeah, but you may now know that the internals of a Mac Pro are this organized. Video gets that point across, no?
- barkerja, on 05/23/2008, -0/+1First came the MacBook Pro, next comes the Mac Pro. I'm officially addicted to Mac's.
