    Apple stores will handle about 30 customers at a time, Johnson said. While the company will make sure the activation process is quick, he said customers won't be rushed.

    Step 2: Don't bother waking up early on Friday; walk in to an Apple or AT&T store as you normally would and purchase an iPhone.

    I doubt there will be a shortage.

If, by some miracle, they're sold out, I'll wait a week and get it next Friday.

Why not just a standard family plan +$30 data for how ever many I phones are on the plan? My parents only have cell phones for emergencies, why do I need a 700 minute unlimited data as a minimum package?

    This isn't the Wii. Apple knows how to keep products in stock.

    If you're deadset on purchasing the JesusPhone 3G under the warm glow of the divine, you might just have to camp it out. Here's Giz's list of essentials:
    • Laptop with lots of spare batteries (a solar generator if you can hack it) and a 3G card
    • Beef jerky and Cliff bars (compact, easy energy)
    • Adult diaper
    • A friend you can pay to wait in line for you
    • Patience, deodorant (more for us, than for you)
