The Top 20 Sports Cars of All time
ridelust.com — As soon as the combustion engine was invented, men started playing with automobiles to see how fast they could make them run. It is in our blood, if you will. Over the past decades, hundreds of sports cars were produced by dozens of car manufacturers around the world. Here is a list of the top 20!

- frooo, on 04/07/2008, -1/+7Red ones go faster!... lets see if this hits front page quick :)
Bit of a shame the Aston Martin DB7 doesnt feature on that list - you'd think the classic "James Bond" car would get onto it.- bamafun, on 04/08/2008, -1/+1yes and Ive noticed red ones get pulled over for speeding more too lol
- frooo, on 04/07/2008, -1/+7Red ones go faster!... lets see if this hits front page quick :)
- blackdrivel, on 04/07/2008, -1/+5what i'd really like to see is a video of all 20 cars in a 10 mile race.
- DarkSamus, on 04/08/2008, -2/+3f40 would pwn
- GrantMVP, on 04/07/2008, -4/+8What is a Subaru doing on there? That Lamborghini Diablo is number 7 on the list but number 1 in our hearts!
- artzoom, on 04/07/2008, -1/+8Porche 911 rocks!!
- Motivaaator, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2All time classic! Every model year is fantastic, minus that weird early 90's c4.
- mikkee07, on 04/07/2008, -3/+1I'm not sure about first second place. I prefer 7 and 8 to be there.
- eufouria, on 04/08/2008, -0/+13Chick Factor, are you serious? Please point me in the direction of the frat boy that wrote this so that I can revoke his internet privileges.
- spinchange, on 04/08/2008, -1/+2A well rounded and proper list with the old and the new. I think I'd switch 1 and 2. The original AC Cobra is the ultimate sports car, IMHO. You're cash money driving in any these though.
- kingslackr, on 04/08/2008, -1/+2Pretty damn subjective. I like these cars, but I would certainly have different choices and different orders.
- solidus636, on 04/08/2008, -2/+2That Nissan Skyline is unbelievably sexy....how in the world is the chick factor low?
- DeskFlyer, on 04/08/2008, -1/+5I would have replaced the Subaru Impreza STi with the Toyota Supra Mark IV, but that's just IMHO.
- DarkSamus, on 04/08/2008, -1/+3awesome list, have all these cars except veyron
in pgr2 - lettruthout, on 04/08/2008, -7/+2Yawn. Antiques and gas guzzlers. We're killing people in foreign countries for oil, and ourselves with pollution, so boys who haven't grown up can be a danger on the road? Buried for being lame.
Don't Digg me down until after you visit a wounded vet.- Ockniel, on 04/08/2008, -1/+3condescending post is condescending.
- MisterFreeze, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2Tautological post is tautological.
- Ockniel, on 04/08/2008, -0/+4Redundant post is Redundant.
- paintpro, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1Dugg for making me learn a new word.
- MisterFreeze, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2Tautological post is tautological.
- Ockniel, on 04/08/2008, -1/+3condescending post is condescending.
- DeskFlyer, on 04/08/2008, -1/+2I'll digg you down because you buried everyone else in the thread before posting your nonsensical rhetoric. Yes, my memory is that good.
- DeskFlyer, on 04/08/2008, -1/+2Apparently I used too much of my brain power in remembering what the digg counts were on the comments that I forgot how to use the correct reply button. Let the mocking begin.
- tonyadam, on 04/08/2008, -1/+2Porsche Carrera GT, hands down, greatest car ever...
- Ockniel, on 04/08/2008, -1/+2What gives? wheres the Ford GT40 2005?
- cognizance8, on 04/08/2008, -1/+0or the original for that matter
- jjive, on 04/08/2008, -1/+2Driven by top 20 dueshes of all time.
- holyskeleton, on 04/08/2008, -1/+2I can drive a van and still get high chick factor. but I prefer the Zonda :)
- getrealnow, on 04/08/2008, -1/+6I want a delorean
- cognizance8, on 04/08/2008, -1/+1not a supercar and not even in the same league as those cars. An extremely underpowered car designed more for looks than function. Sorry, but I wouldn't feel that it should be anywhere near any of those cars.
- getrealnow, on 04/08/2008, -1/+1Are you sure? Because once it hits 88mph all hell breaks loose..
- cognizance8, on 04/08/2008, -1/+1not a supercar and not even in the same league as those cars. An extremely underpowered car designed more for looks than function. Sorry, but I wouldn't feel that it should be anywhere near any of those cars.
- Eslamicolt3, on 04/08/2008, -1/+2Aston Martin DB9? Bueller?
- MisterFreeze, on 04/08/2008, -1/+1No McLaren F1? And I would take the Murcielago over the Diablo. Who can fail to be moved by the name alone?
- prkchpsndwiches, on 04/08/2008, -3/+3You know this list is ***** when you see a Subaru beat out a Shelby Cobra GT500... buried
- cognizance8, on 04/08/2008, -1/+0or a Porsche GT3
- Gloibin, on 04/08/2008, -1/+2Hell I'll chime in too:
No GT40 or F50? No care.
And the E-type should be higher.- oldhick, on 04/08/2008, -1/+2I was surprised to the GT40 missing as well...
- rlh1, on 04/08/2008, -2/+3#4 is listed as a 1968 Corvette ...............it is in fact a 1967 which is a completely, totally different body style. It even has 1967 on the license plate.
Now for the tough question, Why wasn't the 2CV on the list ? - Falldog, on 04/08/2008, -2/+4I think your definition of 'Sports Car' is a bit skewed.
- smacksaw, on 04/08/2008, -4/+6Buried, and it gets off to an ominous start:
20. The car in the picture is wrong. And an estate/wagon is NOT a sports car.
18. Retarded. Mustang enthusiasts today cannot even decide if that is the best current 'Stang
17. Wrong name. It's an Impreza WRX STi, or a WRX STi
16. Alright. What the *****. Seriously. You must think that the GT3 is better than the GT2 because 3 is higher than 2. You said it's a 4.0 second car to 60mph, but THAT IS WRONG. It's 4.5, It's the GT2 that is 4.0 seconds. Jesus. The 997 Turbo and GT2 blow the doors off of the 996s'.
15. Zonda? At least the Porsche was a sports car. You really start to insult women, or get what you're asking for from one that is really materialistic.
14. GT-R. Chick factor is HIGH. Thus far that's the only "sports car" you've named that's actually a comfort to ride in. If a woman wants a vibrator, she'll go to her bedroom and if she wants a sore neck she'll give you a hummer. That's the only thing you get riding in most of the vehicles you've named.
I'm bored now. This is why most lists on Digg suck. - radarbeam, on 04/08/2008, -1/+4I grew up drooling on the Ferrari F40! That's a hot car!
- mikesbaker, on 04/08/2008, -1/+2This was worth reloading the page to be able to digg it. God I wish I was a gazillionare.
- nj7703, on 04/08/2008, -2/+0McLaren F1?
- windowi, on 04/08/2008, -1/+2****Droooolll**** M3 GTR, at first I thought it said Chique factor
- BruisedGhost, on 04/08/2008, -2/+1er... not a very good list, they left of the McLaren F1, Ill agree with the Ferrari's on the list, The Diablo was a pretty good car, the Diablo VT was better. That Mustang they put on there is *****. They also forgot the Ford GT40.
- tbone63, on 04/08/2008, -1/+3This list was a waste of time. The person who made it must only be 15 years old.
- slimBoost, on 04/08/2008, -2/+1are you kidding me? The F1 isnt even on the list? What about the CGT? the Enzo? The Koenigsegg? The Atom? This list is a joke, says R33 and has a pic of an R34. How you could include a WRX and an EVO but not an RX7 or any of the previous just baffles me....
And the 996 series? Are you ***** serious >_<
