      I read that if it could fire it GAU-8 gun long enough while in dive, the recoil would stop its fall. (of course, the gun cannot be fire that long)
      Very impressive when you see it in person.

I like the blended wing/engine setup aesthetically. Perhaps I should get to know more about British aircraft, I'd say it's something of a void in my knowledge.

        Amazing that it's got 91,000lbs of offload fuel capacity.

        Anyone know why it still has the intakes on the top of the fuselage? In their original role (i guess) as nuke detectors, I thought they would have been removed during the conversion to tankers.

The added avionics and fueling equipments taken away from the beauty of the original lines, but it's hardly the ugliest. You want an ugly plane? How about an A-10, or a Trislander fitted with radar for anti-drug missions? Or for that matter, look up the Blohm and Voss 141.
