- ohnoerino, on 06/23/2008, -3/+10I am particularly fond of Micah Hoffpauir's expression..."HUH"?!
- acmaurer, on 06/23/2008, -3/+11Haha, it's either Scott Eyre or Jim Thome for me!
- BrentDPayne, on 06/23/2008, -3/+14Interesting . . . just wish we'd make one for the volleyball teams.
- ColonelTribune, on 06/23/2008, -0/+6What volleyball teams...?
- reaper527, on 06/24/2008, -0/+5you'll find out when the olympics start in a couple months ;)
- ColonelTribune, on 06/23/2008, -0/+6What volleyball teams...?
- virginian9000, on 06/23/2008, -2/+15Brings back memories of card collecting.
- ohnoerino, on 06/23/2008, -0/+7I know! I had so many baseball cards as a kid...the Tops pink bubble gum stick was always so stale and tasteless, but I chewed it anyway.
- DiggzDE, on 06/24/2008, -0/+2How neat would it be to use that bendable media paper that they are developing for this? If it gets cheap enough one day, you could get a pack of cards like this in real life.
- ClarkBender, on 06/23/2008, -4/+7Very cool!
- greytfriend, on 06/24/2008, -4/+14Too bad we have to see both teams at once... Sorry, long-time Cubs fan here. Cool link.
- cbbs, on 06/24/2008, -1/+12Must be painful
- listerinemouth, on 06/24/2008, -2/+12100 years and counting!
- acmaurer, on 06/24/2008, -0/+9Just hold your hand up to the monitor to cover the Sox, haha. That should do it.
- jetblackz4, on 06/24/2008, -1/+4I too share your pain.
Go Cubs !
- ohnoerino, on 06/24/2008, -3/+4Wouldn't it be cool if you could make the cards "battle" each other? It could be like White Sox vs. Tigers circa 2000.
- acmaurer, on 06/24/2008, -1/+3Impressive.
- ostracize, on 06/24/2008, -0/+1You mean kind of like a video game then?

- Papajohn56, on 06/24/2008, -1/+1yeah and ozzie is a ***** manager and human being
- NathanCH, on 06/24/2008, -10/+3Couldn't chosen a better sport. You know, one that requires you to be in shape.
- theloofa, on 06/24/2008, -1/+2You've obviously never played catcher...
or hit a double - kidathinnes, on 06/24/2008, -1/+1Yeah because baseball card collecting isn't a big deal or anything. Stupid *****.
- theloofa, on 06/24/2008, -1/+2You've obviously never played catcher...
- Nyvhek, on 06/24/2008, -2/+11I read the title and was hoping for cards on e-paper or something. Maybe someday.
- knoxchris, on 06/24/2008, -5/+4Uh okay, Chicago, yay?
- jikuty, on 06/24/2008, -5/+7... how did this make it to the front page of Digg?
- DoctorGumbo, on 06/24/2008, -3/+4The title couldn't make you sound more like a geek.
- DeFex, on 06/24/2008, -9/+2Do you get to stand around in a field in your pajamas for millions of dollars?
- Anubis2051, on 06/24/2008, -0/+3Please. Baseball is one of the hardest sports to play. I'd like to see you try and hit a 95 MPH fastball 400 ft, make a diving catch down the line, or throw a curveball.
- kidathinnes, on 06/24/2008, -0/+3Sounds like you have never watched a baseball game in your life. Way to look like a douchebag.
- xrod, on 06/24/2008, -8/+4Now if only they put some good teams on 'em.
- chinolofus, on 06/24/2008, -0/+1the cubs are the best team in MLB right now. well at least in winning percentage.
- Butros, on 06/24/2008, -0/+1In the NL Central the one eyed man is king... or something...
- chinolofus, on 06/24/2008, -0/+1the cubs are the best team in MLB right now. well at least in winning percentage.
- badambi, on 06/24/2008, -9/+4wow... who cares!??
- Anubis2051, on 06/24/2008, -1/+2the 200+ people that dugg it. If you don't care, don't click it. simple as that. don't go dragging everyone else down just because you don't think its important.
- kidathinnes, on 06/24/2008, -1/+3Stupid troll, shut the ***** up.
- badambi, on 06/24/2008, -1/+2lol troll
- kidathinnes, on 06/24/2008, -0/+3Yeah, its the "internet word" for pieces of ***** who post things that have no relevance to the topic at hand. People who post ***** just to post ***** (See, it's a lot easier to just say "troll"). We don't give a ***** if you don't care. Other people do, obviously. It wouldn't be on the front page if nobody cared. Here's a tip, don't go into the article if you don't care.
- badambi, on 06/24/2008, -0/+2fair enough kid
- badambi, on 06/24/2008, -1/+2lol troll
- theotheragentm, on 06/24/2008, -0/+8How do I put these in the spokes of my bike to make clickity clack noises?
- midejitsu, on 06/24/2008, -1/+4Kosuke! I was quite happy when the Cubs signed Soriano, but he was a known quantity and we knew that he wouldn’t be as good as in his contract year with Washington. Fukudome was different. Apparently the Cubs had scouted him since the 2004 Olympics and he has been a breath of fresh air. I’m sure it’s the coaches and not him, but he epitomizes a Cubs team that finds itself near the top of Baseball in on-base-average instead of near the bottom. Anyway, we took three from the White Sox at Wrigley and we’re not going to give them back this weekend. Go Cubs Go!
- RDist, on 06/24/2008, -0/+3I had this toy as a kid that you would put these over sized baseball cards in and it would tell you about their careers. Don Drysdale and Bob "Most Annoying Person in the World" Euker were the voices I think. Cant for the life of me remember what it was called though.
anyway, FUKODOME ROCKS!- vampiregirl, on 06/24/2008, -0/+1Starting Lineup Talking Baseball?
- mnemy, on 06/24/2008, -1/+2umm... yay?
- Duositex, on 06/24/2008, -3/+2hey check out this ad for major league baseball!
- dcmcderm, on 06/24/2008, -0/+4Nice...I didn't know Contreras was that old. Now I see why the Yankees dumped him back in '04
- username484767, on 06/24/2008, -6/+2because I really care about baseball
- kidathinnes, on 06/24/2008, -1/+5I'm so sick of all these worthless trolls making stupid ass comments about things they are not interested in. If you see the title, and it doesn't interest you, DON'T ***** CLICK IT! It's as simple as that. Stupid bastard.
- Papajohn56, on 06/24/2008, -2/+3stop posting, *****
- redsfaithful, on 06/24/2008, -0/+7http://www.baseball-reference.com/ is all you really need

- rbross2005, on 06/24/2008, -1/+4A ***** picture of a trading card on a website is not a trading card.
- Butros, on 06/24/2008, -1/+1You gotta flip it over dude...
- jetblackz4, on 06/24/2008, -2/+2Where are the rats statistics?
- Ex3poo, on 06/24/2008, -2/+2Cant you just go onto mlb.com and check?
- rohlman82, on 06/25/2008, -0/+0have you been on MLB lately? Pop-ups, auto-playing video, banners, banners and banners. And don't forget the constant reminder to vote for the 2008 All-Star team.....
- nearlygod, on 06/24/2008, -1/+4Big deal, there are a lot of sites that offer stats in different ways. I still prefer baseball-reference.com fo completeness. If you want something different and useful, try http://www.thetoolsofignorance.com/stats/ Each player page is also a message board you so you can talk about the player or add info, similar to a wiki. The leader/filter pages are also fun to play around with because you can customize the query to narrow the results.
- badambi, on 06/24/2008, -2/+2go isotopes!
- vampiregirl, on 06/24/2008, -0/+3Go Shelbyville Shelbyvillians.
- Dipster, on 06/24/2008, -2/+2I don't care about interactive baseball cards. Let me know when interactive pin-ups come to pass. :)
- mdoerr, on 06/24/2008, -0/+3For you nerds who are confused as to what's going on: baseball is an American sport that is played outdoors, and these are digital versions of collectible cards that children collected while you were playing pogs in your parent's basement.
- bman85, on 06/24/2008, -1/+2FYI: Baseball cards are nerdy.
Just because they are referencing a real activity doesn't make it cool, in fact, it takes away cool points.
I don't see how it is even any different from pogs, you sat in your basement collecting cards, they sat in their basement collecting pogs...- bronco92, on 06/25/2008, -1/+0"they sat in their basement collecting pogs..."
I think you meant to say "I sat in MY basement collecting pogs..."- bman85, on 06/26/2008, -0/+1I had pogs, but no basement ;)
- mdoerr, on 07/03/2008, -0/+1Way to misquote me retard, I said "YOU were playing pogs"
- bronco92, on 06/25/2008, -1/+0"they sat in their basement collecting pogs..."
- bman85, on 06/24/2008, -1/+2FYI: Baseball cards are nerdy.
- bman85, on 06/24/2008, -2/+1Baseball cards suck ass. Every bit as stupid as magic cards or yugioh or whatever the hell that is.
- mentor972, on 06/24/2008, -0/+2Where's the interactive Bubble Gum???
- rohlman82, on 06/25/2008, -0/+0meh, you're stuck with the Cubs or Sox. Check out www.toppstown.com to get every card this season PLUS stats on the back.
