Good timing as well since I was recently researching the potential side effects of artificial sweeteners like sucralose, aspartame, and saccharin. It seems that although some are telling us that some of these come from sugar, scientic studies are showing some potentially bad effects on us. Good job.
- suzihuha, on 08/21/2008, -0/+0Great article Becky. I recently came across stevia, it was in a recipe for edible body lotion
(I make my own soaps, lotions, bath teas etc.) and I was a little leary about using it until I researched it more. People just have to keep in mind that just because something is natural it doesn't mean it's good for you. - gpbrewer, on 08/22/2008, -0/+1Great points, Becky! I recently read on The Ultrametabolism blog, which argues for the benefits of proper blood pH, that artificial sweeteners contribute to inflammation and acid pH making us fatter! So much for giving up sugar. Guess I'll stick with water and lemon. : ) Greg
