WaMu: Hype vs. reality

  • randydale3, on 11/21/2007, -0/+1Nothing worse than a bank with no customer service!! I must say that US Bank has been very good to me. Great, friendly, professional and helpful service at all times. Just my two pennies!!
    • kyote, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1US Bank is more then awesome. I've never had better customer service. They're not the biggest or th most tech savvy, but their people more then make up for it.

I overdrew my checking account by $0.05 so the payment bounced, WaMu charged me a $20.00 overdraft fee and didn't cover the check. I called and spent 20 min's on the phone to some dimwit woman explaining that they didn't provide me with an overdraft service because the check was not paid- so how does WaMu justify charging me $20.00? her answer was "Because you overdrafted your account sir." finally I had to talk to a supervisor and he took care of it but not without giving me a patronizing warning first.
