Britney bombs at the VMAs, a comeback gone wrong.

nextechnews.com — Well for those of you that missed the VMA's it seems those images of britney's chubby physique were telling the truth, because her opening at the VMAs tonight was abysmal, she definitly shouldn't have sported a bra and panty to "dance" in, especially since she was horribly lip syncing, and barely dancing if you can even call it that anymore.

It's not hard to see why women have self-esteem issues and hack the hell out of magazines and TV when gaining a small amount of weight whilst still retaining a decent figure with visible curves means you're labelled chubby by every bitch from here to the West Coast.

        athletic = definition
        slim = no definition but no fat
        chubby = rolls starting to show
        fat = rolls
        obese = rolls on rolls

    I agree with jonneh, she didn't look "fat" per se, but she is definitely bigger than before and shouldn't use the same dance moves (or lingerie) she used prior to having two kids. Everything else is spot on though: her dancing was lackluster, she had no energy, and she can't even remember her lip sync lines even though they only consist of the same two words over and over.

We have plastic surgery, liposuction, personal trainers, dance coaches, etc. There are not really any excuses for her performance. If she can't move as well as she used to, she should have done something else and came out in something other than a bikini outfit.

      For all those saying "Well she just had kids blah blah blah" that's great. Don't do a stage performance wearing sparkly underwear then. Also, Madonna still looks great (and she's like twice Britney's age too boot).

I mean damn, I've seen bad sync's before, but only the Milli Vanilli incident tops this.

    Spears is in the third stage of the pop cycle - the "lets watch the marionette self destruct now that her handlers have discovered younger more attractive puppets to exploit" stage. In 10 years we'll be reading about her being found dead on a toilet.

    For ***** sake she lip syncs and its just expected as if its too much trouble for a so called professional performer to rehearse and actually perform what they claim to have been responsible for creating. She didn't even bother to sync half of it and noone gives a ***** ... its Millie Vanilli all over again but now its just par for the course.

Not on a stage - but more importantly not even in a studio.. at least not after their handlers realized they had no musical talent.

And given the trashing she's getting in the press, reports on the state of her mental health...draw your own conclusions.

      The girl's obviously got problems, but no-one it seems is helping her to deal with them. Rather than attack her, I'd be very worried about Britney.

I was far more disappointed by the second performance than the first. Funny thing was, after a bit of fast forwarding, probably the best performance was by Justin Timberlake. Not lip-sync'd, lots of energy. I was pleasently surprised. Maybe there was more, but I figured it had climaxed after that so I just shut it down as to not be pained by further failures.
