- rgladstein, on 06/24/2008, -0/+2FWIW, I doubt many of those people actually paid for their bags. It's common practice for them to be given to celebrities for the PR it provides. I have a friend who's a very very minor celebrity, and she has a very expensive bag (which she treats like junk). She used it in a photo shoot and they told her she could keep it.
