The Ben Stiller involvement makes this less interesting, since he has been decidedly un-edgy since 1998.

          Why is "Julie... you know, the dark haired girl" any more offensive than "Julie... you know, the black girl"? What exactly is different about those two sentences, other than that in one case I'm referring to hair color and in the other case I'm referring to skin color?

      This is what I get for being born in the immediate "post"-racists America. Drop the gene identification and learn to identify them by environment. "African American" basically means they are from African decent and live in America/ Have lived in America/ were raised in America.

      I do not call myself a British American or a German American. Even that much distinction is degrading. Even if my parents were from Britain or Germany, I am an American because I was raised here. People with dark skin should be called Americans too because they share my environment and are in my cultural society, not Africa's.
