- zacbro, on 10/15/2008, -5/+120It sounds just like when I watch it!!
- mikbunn, on 10/16/2008, -0/+37If the laughtrack were replaced with loud obscenities, it'd sound just like when I watch it.
- GassyTurd, on 10/16/2008, -0/+2When I was a little kid I used to think that the laugh tracks on sitcoms were the sounds of other people watching the show on TV. I can Imagine the amount of groaning and swearing that goes on during this clown's show.
- NRay7882, on 10/16/2008, -1/+5This is awesome!
- notanidiot, on 10/18/2008, -0/+1Did he really refer to his detractors as "SP"s? What, is he scientologist now?
- mikbunn, on 10/16/2008, -0/+37If the laughtrack were replaced with loud obscenities, it'd sound just like when I watch it.
- eastwoodcarter, on 10/16/2008, -5/+25lol
- Dylson, on 10/16/2008, -1/+5lol
- tucsonsun13, on 10/16/2008, -2/+5LOLzzz
- jenel, on 10/16/2008, -4/+13Witness the future.
- undino, on 10/16/2008, -6/+74This was done LIVE!
- thenumber8, on 10/16/2008, -5/+5WE'LL DO IT LIVE!
- honeymustardn, on 10/16/2008, -2/+3Yes, I think that's what he was hinting at.
- anstice85, on 10/16/2008, -1/+2***** IT!
- DrummerAndrew, on 10/16/2008, -1/+3***** thing sucks. Seriously.
- thenumber8, on 10/16/2008, -5/+5WE'LL DO IT LIVE!
- DeskFlyer, on 10/16/2008, -2/+31That was pure genius.
- ThinkBox, on 10/16/2008, -5/+90Kinda related: Do laugh tracks really annoy anyone else? Like its hard for me to watch shows that have them, and rewatching old Seinfeld shows is painful sometimes.
- whahaa, on 10/16/2008, -4/+12seinfeld was filmed before a live studio audience.
- bpoteat, on 10/16/2008, -0/+31Lots of sit-coms were, but they still used laugh tracks.
And yes, I can't watch shows with laugh tracks anymore. The first time I hear laughing at something that was not even close to funny, I groan and change the channel. Many TV shows have finally started to get past the 50s comedy mentality of having to tell us when something is supposed to be funny.
- bpoteat, on 10/16/2008, -0/+31Lots of sit-coms were, but they still used laugh tracks.
- packerdawl, on 10/16/2008, -0/+7I tried watching Little Britain on HBO and the laugh track made the show unbearable to sit through; on top of the fact that many of the jokes just weren't that funny.
- Maxwell1234, on 10/21/2008, -0/+1Seconded
- bearcat8543, on 10/16/2008, -6/+5no laugh track with seinfeld.
- bpoteat, on 10/16/2008, -0/+7Yes it did. Where do you think the laughs came from when they were out on the street? They didn't have the entire audience out there standing on the sidewalk set. Also, the show wasn't filmed straight from start to finish. A lot of times the studio audience wouldn't have seen something that may have earlier provided the setup for a punch-line. So, they were told with signs to laugh hysterically, chuckle, etc. Not a canned laugh track, but not far from it.
- Doomsan, on 10/16/2008, -0/+6They should release a new version of Seinfeld without the laugh track.
- whahaa, on 10/16/2008, -2/+19they did. it's called Curb Your Enthusiasm.
- mikbunn, on 10/16/2008, -0/+18I think it'd be pretty weird with lots of 2 second pauses.
- Doomsan, on 10/16/2008, -0/+6it would be like garfield minus garfield.
- therightclique, on 10/16/2008, -0/+7They show does pause for laughter. I think it would be noticeable and really awkward.
- Andrwmorph, on 10/16/2008, -0/+2It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia?
- tempurasama, on 10/17/2008, -0/+1It'd be like this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6d8h-tOKYTU
- UbIwerks, on 10/16/2008, -1/+28After watching Arrested Development so much, going to a laugh track sitcom is like pulling teeth.
- ThinkBox, on 10/16/2008, -1/+6AD is the best!
Laugh tracks have all these pauses in the dialogue, its lame. - Andrwmorph, on 10/16/2008, -0/+2Hells yeah!
- BedPost, on 10/16/2008, -0/+4Arrested Development killed my love for That 70s Show.
And I have no problem with that. - Katana314, on 10/16/2008, -0/+5The problem with AD, and by problem, I mean what makes it awesome, is that they follow up jokes with more jokes that are even better, so if you're laughing too much you'll miss something. Which you often do.
- carshadfan, on 10/17/2008, -0/+1and 30 rock
- ThinkBox, on 10/16/2008, -1/+6AD is the best!
- topgigmedia, on 10/16/2008, -1/+1I like them because they queue me when to laugh at stuff that otherwise isn't funny at all. I thought this interview could have used a horror movie soundtrack and sound effect in the background.
- whahaa, on 10/16/2008, -4/+12seinfeld was filmed before a live studio audience.
- skelliewag, on 10/16/2008, -5/+22Great idea but I would love to see a version with a better clip and more professional editing of the laugh track. This one was a bit carelessly put together at some points.
- CMiYC, on 10/16/2008, -0/+10Great idea, make sure you post the link when you are done.
- whysee, on 10/16/2008, -4/+5I love how their laughing, most of the time it's worth crying about though!
- farfromsubtl, on 10/16/2008, -2/+36Great idea... but why this seemingly insignificant interview and not something truly ridiculous on the O'Reilly Factor?
- anstice85, on 10/16/2008, -0/+1That's a good idea. I'd do it (live) if I had any editing knowledge whatsoever.
- bjenidles, on 10/16/2008, -4/+12It fits perfectly.
- irfanmp, on 10/16/2008, -1/+17That's what she said.
- GeorgeStone2, on 10/16/2008, -1/+2I think it could have been done a lot better.
- Scalpels, on 10/16/2008, -0/+7That's also what she said.
- Ellsass, on 11/05/2008, -0/+1I know it left me quite satisfied.
- SnowCrasher, on 10/16/2008, -2/+7Could've been better. With the amount of rubbish Fox puts out the potential for lulz is massive.
- bodger, on 10/16/2008, -2/+22Finally! For the first time, Fox News makes sense to me.
- Wryly, on 10/16/2008, -2/+8See, I thought the laugh track was understood.
- aptanalogy, on 10/16/2008, -0/+1That wouldn't surprise me, given that Fox has segued into self parody more and more over the years.
- juicycutlets, on 10/16/2008, -4/+5he did it live
- Weed86, on 10/16/2008, -3/+4HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
- m4lomb, on 10/16/2008, -2/+16Bill O'Reilly... what a joke!
- BillOReilly, on 10/16/2008, -1/+0Hey know!
Watch it.
- BillOReilly, on 10/16/2008, -1/+0Hey know!
- stranglethorne, on 10/16/2008, -2/+7Papa bear brings me the laughs.
- DavidGuetta9, on 10/16/2008, -11/+3I need a non-Youtube mirror.... now.
- elliotys, on 10/16/2008, -3/+4Even with the laugh track I have a hard time watching Bill O talk. ***** waterboarding, subject the terrorist to the O'Reilly Factor.
- levitron, on 10/16/2008, -2/+7That's more Fox News I've watched in one sitting for a long time!
- punkrockscks, on 10/16/2008, -2/+8just like watching Springer
- ryanonfire, on 10/16/2008, -7/+1Well that was weird
- BelatedHero, on 10/16/2008, -4/+2Oh *****! BillO beat up a cell phone! He sure is a badass.
- ncc74656m, on 10/16/2008, -2/+16Yes, BillO, we laugh AT you, not WITH you.
"I back it up with facts." ::laugh:: - AxYoung, on 10/16/2008, -2/+4This is perfect. It almost seems natural.
- pintomp3, on 10/16/2008, -3/+10i can't believe people listen to that blowhard. these christian fundamentalists don't seem to realize many of the founding fathers were "secular progressives". and the term "jedeo-christian" doesn't even make any sense.
- NJank, on 10/16/2008, -0/+11i prefer jedi-o-christian
- Sabre24q7, on 10/16/2008, -15/+0Waste of time, I could of been doing something more important.
Buried.- TheSnuffster, on 10/16/2008, -0/+7You're browsing Digg... so clearly not.
- Sabre24q7, on 10/18/2008, -0/+0Oh snap you got me. Was still a waste of time though.
- TheSnuffster, on 10/16/2008, -0/+7You're browsing Digg... so clearly not.
- RonPaulTOLDu, on 10/16/2008, -3/+2yeah but ***** george soros he pretends hes anti bush but hes not
- Valyn, on 10/16/2008, -0/+2but *****
- stealthc, on 10/16/2008, -6/+1I guess he's right about what George Soros wants, which is basically Marxism, but he's still a tool.
- jeffbw, on 10/17/2008, -0/+1Read a book.
- WheezyMustafa, on 10/16/2008, -1/+5Yeah it was funny but the joke got old after a few minutes.
- urbannomad, on 10/16/2008, -1/+17~8 minutes of fox news?
No thank you. - elislider, on 10/16/2008, -1/+7well made but i got bored. as deserving of the laughter that OReilley is, i really cant even stand to watch a video of him
- dagnabbit, on 10/16/2008, -1/+10Obama laid the smack down on Fox News during the debate, how awesome was that.
- playasnation, on 10/16/2008, -15/+6***** Bill OReily. ***** Lou Dobbs. ***** Rush Limbaugh. ***** Bush. ***** Cheney. ***** Rove. ***** Guilliani. ***** McCain. ***** Sarah Palin. ***** Mitt Romney. ***** All These Putos! Did I Leave Any Out? Oh Yeah, ***** Sean Hannity. ***** Trent Lott. ***** Arnold Schwarchenager, or whatever the ***** you spell it. If You Like Any Of These Fools Then ***** You Too!!!
http://www.playasnation.com- anstice85, on 10/16/2008, -1/+1Come on. You could have googled "Schwarzenegger" very easily. But you had time to spam your website, which - judging by the name - is one I'll be skipping.
- teebird, on 10/16/2008, -3/+4The lowest form of journalism...One journalist doing a softball interview with one of his colleagues from the same network to hype his latest book. Notice, by the way that when the McCain campaign tried to start a phony last-minute "controversy" just before the VP debate over Gwen Ifill's book about Barack Obama, O'Reilly, one of their ever-faithful sock puppets, was loudly singing their tune.
- 7come11, on 10/16/2008, -1/+6Nope, still equally annoying/obnoxious.
- waydee, on 10/16/2008, -1/+3I've always thought that the Bill O'Reilly show could be sold to other countries and aired as satirical comedy, even without a laugh track.
- kingmanic, on 10/16/2008, -0/+1Bill O'Reilly: a clone of Stephen Colbert with less hair
- Residents, on 10/16/2008, -2/+3Oh ***** wait you mean besides the laughter that was real? Is this comedy central for the 50+?
- btschul, on 10/16/2008, -1/+3I thought that was gonna be funnier than it was.
- DroppedOnJapan, on 10/16/2008, -2/+1Dugg for O'Reily's O-Face picture.
- Genecalypse, on 10/16/2008, -2/+2Everytime I watch bill o'riley i wish my fist could go through the screen
- djstriker91, on 10/16/2008, -3/+1This is awesome.
- arseniosantos, on 10/16/2008, -4/+3DEY TOOK ERR JERRRRRBS
- arseniosantos, on 10/16/2008, -1/+1DURKA DERRRRRR
- Dylson, on 10/16/2008, -1/+1DERRRRKAAH DEERKKKA
- arseniosantos, on 10/16/2008, -1/+1DURKA DERRRRRR
- bonds, on 10/16/2008, -5/+4***** IT!!!! WE'LL DO IT LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!
***** THING SUCKS!!!!!!!!! - therightclique, on 10/16/2008, -1/+1Eh. It was a good idea that was extremely poorly executed. Whoever edited this doesn't understand basic comedic timing.
- UltraDavid, on 10/16/2008, -1/+2Wait, so, O'Reilly has slapped Cavuto before? Creepy...
...hot?
/no ***** - rblancarte, on 10/16/2008, -1/+4I would have laughed more had the interview not been really scary. I mean seriously, O'Reily's talk of religion, etc was quite disturbing. He talks about our Judeo-Christian Philosophy heritage. WHAT?!?!? The USA was founded based on total freedom of religion, etc.
He sites the Constitution, seemingly ignoring "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof"
I find this interview disturbing. - Ferre1, on 10/16/2008, -1/+16"My biggest fear is that we become Holland" As a Dutchman, this line coming from that douchebag is a huge compliment. Our biggest fear is to become a sleaze like him.
- SolarUpNote, on 10/16/2008, -1/+2That was very theraputic.
- adougy, on 10/16/2008, -0/+2made it much more enjoyable
