Not so amazing given the fact that rappers all look and act the same. - MuffinMan, on 10/26/2007, -21/+55wow, that wasn't racist at all
- junkmail02, on 10/12/2007, -4/+23Same guy on BET

-z00k - mentor972, on 10/12/2007, -7/+28LOL. GUY. He's famous, stupid.
- Abatrour, on 10/12/2007, -2/+32Aries Spears from the old Mad TV....
- ViktorVaughn, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8Two words:
Super Natural - rootneg2, on 10/12/2007, -6/+8@muffinman
I'd have to say that, yes, it wasn't actually racist at all; what does race have to do with being a rapper? you you have said the same thing if he was impersonating Vanilla Ice or Mike D?
he didn't say "...all black people look and act the same..."
foobar is still wrong though. those were some good impressions, and there are some origional rappers out there. Every genry has copycats - RandomSkratch, on 10/12/2007, -3/+16That was ridiculous! To be able to freestyle AND imitate other rappers is one skill that can't be touched!
He should battle the people he imitates.. that would be sick - pwill, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1@rootneg2:
...The guy didn't immitate any white rappers. He only immitated Snoop Dogg, Jay-z and DMX. They are all black, thus making his comment racist. - dxmzan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@RandomSkratch
I doubt that his whole bit was freestyle. He's a comedian he probably practices that for his shows.
- hotbeefman, on 10/12/2007, -105/+2He ripped this bit off from Cool Bubba Sparx, the stand-up comedian.
- DjOverEZ, on 10/12/2007, -2/+94So only one person is allowed to do impressions of rappers?
- theone3, on 10/12/2007, -3/+16No, it's okay, he was doing an impression of *him*.
- GrendelT, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Yeah, only one person can do impressions. Otherwise you're ripping off the original.
Unless, of course, you license your routine from the first impressionist, but that gets messy with the lawyers and RIAA getting involved to make sure nobody else mimics the routine to their friends and coworkers around the water cooler.

- metaphysical, on 10/12/2007, -3/+62"Guy"? That's Aries Spears. He's on television.
PS - LIVE 105 is my local station. Haha.- SuckMyDigg, on 10/12/2007, -2/+42He was on MAD TV for a long time..
- xenixninja, on 10/12/2007, -28/+3@ SuckMyDick (ehr, nice nick)

- pred8tr, on 10/27/2007, -4/+33Yeah. He's Britney Spears' brother.

- dgh1973, on 10/12/2007, -3/+33Yeah that's not just some guy, that's Aries Spears from MAD TV.
- mrASSMAN, on 10/12/2007, -5/+9Yeah, he was hilarious on that show.
- SlappyMc, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Did he ever do that on Mad TV?
- mrFREEZE, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Yes he did, actually.
In front of Damon Dash, no less. Aries was with Mo Collins (I think) interviewing people on the red carpet. Damon laughed his ass off when Aries did the LL impersonation. He left before he did Jay-Z though, which was unfortunate since it was even better than the one in this video. That was the first time I'd ever seen *anyone* impersonate Jay-Z that well, right down to the little laugh he has.
I've been looking all over for a clip but can't find it. So now I've been watching the reruns on Comedy Central waiting for it to come up again so I can record it an put it up on youtube :D
- mrFREEZE, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Yes he did, actually.
- lazza, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Really great impressions. I think Jay-Z was the best one he did, followed by DMX and LL.
- angelp, on 10/12/2007, -1/+55His Snoop Dogg was dead on.
- Steelfox, on 10/12/2007, -3/+16He didn't do too well on the Aries Spears impression though =/
- daza, on 10/12/2007, -3/+29Jay-Z was probably the most accurate. DMX's was awesome too, he even impersonated DMX's flow and delivery.. I have been listening to hip-hop for so many years now and I could not tell the difference between real the real Jay and the real DMX and this guy. But then again, if you had him record an entire impersonation DMX album I'm sure after a while it would sound a bit suspicious.
Still, that was amazing. I always think voice impersonations are very clever but to rap with it too.. very cool. - blackbelt88, on 10/12/2007, -4/+24To me his DMX one sounded a bit off. His voice wasn't low or raspy enough. He definitely captured his style though. The others were dead on.
- Soniti, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Yeah, DMX's voice is alot lower, and slightly more raspy. But it was a good impression. His snoop and JZ were perfect through and through though.. What's more is that he didn't just sound like them, he actually rapped using their style of flow and rhyme. I think that is where the true talent is, not just in sounding similar to them, but in mimicking their style perfectly.
~Soniti
- Lyph4, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9Glad to see he's changed how he conducts himself on the radio. I've got a recording of him on the radio down in Flordia getting pissed because the radio guys were asking him to do impressions.
- GeneralChang, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6http://bumscorner.com/bumnuke/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=663
yeah dude must have hated being on a rock show with two older guys or something. I remember listening on the way to work.
He was in town doing a comedy club, and honestly even through he was on madTV everyone doesn't know who aries spears is. So they try to get him to do some of his act, to get people interested. but rather than do something he describes his act as impersonations, which he refuses to do on air. He flips out then goes on another radio station down the hall and starts talking smack. They have comedians on big 105.9 all the time; even the not so funny ones manage at least a chuckle.
This guy freaks out and comes back to talk crap. (Direct link to the mp3 for the lazy.) http://www.big1059.com/cc-common/mlib/1685/09/1685_1126210608.mp3
Btw. Paul and Ron have been around for forever and a day. - chmod, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Whining like a freaking child. Damn. Perhaps that's why he is on MAD TV rather than a real comedy show.
"Let me tell you something about black people..." That isn't slightly racist or anything.
- GeneralChang, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6http://bumscorner.com/bumnuke/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=663
- vibez, on 10/12/2007, -2/+25Not very often i'm impressed with impressions, but damn that was quality
- volcompimp, on 10/12/2007, -12/+1Live105 sucks balls... I listened to it growing up until about a year or 2 ago since the station slowly declined into total ***** since 2000 or so. Also no more Stern! It's all about La Calle now (reggaeton y mas!), FreeFM (saw this clip first from a guy I've known for years who works there and used to work at 94.9 when the Dog House was around... White Menace for all you old school fans) and KKSF (Jazz). If I wanna hear real music I listen to my Ipod, not some sell out radio station that plays Audioslave 24/7 as well as really ***** mainstream rock and even ***** indie. It's a shame that there's no real rock stations in the bay anymore.
- Rapax, on 10/12/2007, -59/+10So all (c)rap songs sound like a crazy black guy with articulation problems? What a surprise.
- fatas, on 10/12/2007, -9/+29Go listen to your rock that sounds like a white guy with PMS.
What a surprise.
- fatas, on 10/12/2007, -9/+29Go listen to your rock that sounds like a white guy with PMS.
- fatas, on 10/12/2007, -17/+2Rofl 5 white guys, one old Asian man and a black guy.
- hixsonj, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10Damn, those were really good. He can even freestyle better than some actual rappers out there.
- daza, on 10/12/2007, -5/+9Sorry but 99% of freestyles are pre-written anyway. This guy, as well as most rappers have already jotted down a few lines they thought of earlier. Every now and then you will get an artist doing one off the dome and they are really impressive. I suggest you look at "Freestyle: The Art of Rhyme" if you're interested in freestyles.. unbelievable documentary. http://imdb.com/title/tt0262424/
- diggerdong, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8i don't believe it ls true freestyling because this was rehearsed. i heard him on BET once and he didn't pretty much the same thing but maybe tweaked a little.
edit: yeah what daza said...haha
- jav1231, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3I take it that it helps to know that the celebrities sound like...I'm guessing.....
- ReBeLaCe, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I met him when I went to L.A. earlier this year he is cool. And damn he sounds even better in real life.
- erikjernberg, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10That is absolutely amazing. It is not just that his voice is on point... it is that his delivery and timing and breath control and - well pretty much everything is spot on. Very cool. Thanks for posting.
- seancanada, on 10/12/2007, -14/+2Hey idiots talking about scripting/freestyling.. the impressions are what you're supposed to pay attention to.. go watch 8 mile again and figure out the difference.
- voyage34, on 10/12/2007, -3/+21Go watch 8 mile again? No thanks.
- lispy, on 10/31/2007, -1/+7Check out the guy in the back. His shirt and the the CD sideboard make him almost invisible! This is the real reason to watch this: Human Mimikry!! :)
- Pushkin, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Impressed Fo' Shizzle
- xutopia, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Look behind the rapper... there is a guy in adapted camouflage!
- somecheesypoofs, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Awesome.
- 4eloBek, on 10/12/2007, -6/+0crap...
- SteelChicken, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3be sure to not watch the video, just listen, thats awesome.
His Snoop was perfect. - RichGC, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I was honestly impressed. He could a great spoof if teamed with Weird-Al style lyrics.
- danshields, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Yeah I seen him live at a comedy show here in Michigan. He is great and yeah the impressions were part of his show. The great thing about him though is that he doesn't just do white people black people jokes like most black comedians, he doesn't like that type of comedy.
He's a real versatile comedian and I expect to be even bigger through out the years. It amazes me how some of you sit here and try to find the dumbest ***** to critique, the dude wasn't freestyling its part of his act morons - slstsang, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8LL, snop and Jayz was dead on.
DMX needed a lower raspy voice, but he got the flow right. Man he's talented.- cyberscape2, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2He is indeed. Good find.
- dose, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5I never knew Aries could do impressions like this. Nice find. Although one of his DMX barks sounded like a little poodle instead of a pit...
- Lyph4, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1I think that was part of the joke. DMX is from the mean streets about as much as a poodle.
- eyeaml337, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1wow for a guy that sucks so badly on MADTv he sure does kick ass on a radio station
- member57, on 10/12/2007, -18/+8If I close my eyes, will rap go away? Please?
- theweapon, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8If I close my eyes will YOU go away? Please?
It's amazing how many people are closed minded. Hip-hop takes a lot more skill than most vocal styles. - GrendelT, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9REAL (underground/old school) hip-hop: cool.
Commercialized hip-"pop": uncool (over-produced). - Wavey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2You know, I am a total music nut. I am constantly scouring for new stuff; my collection contains everything from rock to Hawaiian to jazz to classical to steel drum music to you name it. I tried hard to give rap a fair chance, but...I just can't get into it. At all. Can't stand the mostly negative, crude, miscreant lyrics. And the music just follows so few basic parameters, and almost never branches out much past those parameters, that it all ends up sounding extremely repetitive and indistinguishable from one track to the next, one album to the next, one artist to the next. I gave it a fair shake but it just doesn't have much of anything to offer for me, and the lyrics tend to dwell in the squalid underbelly of life, which is a place I'd rather not be. Oh well.
- theweapon, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8If I close my eyes will YOU go away? Please?
- ScottBookG4, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2The guy obviously did Mad TV for a paycheck...
And I agree, the DMX was close, but not quite. Snoop and Jay Z were dead on. Very cool delivery. - Cashmoney504, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1He was right on the money
- Daolohua, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It either says a lot about this guys ability to impersonate or not very much about today's rappers being able to differentiate.
But even with that said, this guy is very talented to pick up subtle differences in sound. Good stuff.- Wavey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'd say it's the latter. Not very much to differentiate; just subtle differences.
- imajin, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1holy ***** thats scary
- DavePee, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Oh my God, That was just too damn good. His Jay Z and Snoop Dogg were spot on.
- SuperNick, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Aries Spears is a comedian. Even after College Humor posts the name in the article he calls the dude a "Guy"? lol
- np374, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2This guy does the best shaq impressions ever!
- TheToecutter, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I guess it would be impressive if I even recognized his impressions. As it is when he switches I have no idea who the ***** he's imitating other than another rapper I've never listened to. /shrug
- Sammy20, on 10/12/2007, -10/+3holy ***** thats sucked ass.
- shrech, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1i still miss him on madtv :(
- joerod, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1this guy is amazing!!
- spazmotron, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3The best thing about that video was how the guy in the background blended in to the CD rack behind him. Amazing.
- pika, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I was just gonna say that!!! Its like he is camouflaged... Like that commercial for slim jims...
- nepawoods, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3They all sound alike to me. They're all imitating each other.
- rootdown, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1that was greaat
- mcduckov, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1I hate sites like this. I'd have to enable 5 different sites in NoScript to get it working. No thanks. Use YouTube dammit.
- PRlME, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2i would be mackin to mad b!tches on the phone!
- honging, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Does anybody know where the beat to that song comes from?
- PlasticSolution, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2MOP - "Ante Up"
- appleman108, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0that was unbelievable!
- Hagey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0hahahaha brilliant!
