- Sean23, on 10/09/2008, -22/+5Maybe someone has to reset the sign every 42 days to keep the room from exploding.
- matero5009, on 10/09/2008, -3/+0what??
- citizenchan, on 10/09/2008, -1/+3maybe a bad lost season 1 reference....?
- MelvinSchlubman, on 10/09/2008, -4/+1It's a reference to "LOST": push the button before 108 minutes to prevent the island from disappearing (ie, moving).
- MLGLies, on 10/09/2008, -0/+2You mean 108 minutes?
- matero5009, on 10/09/2008, -0/+0Lost sucks dick
- matero5009, on 10/09/2008, -3/+0what??
- TehLawlz, on 10/09/2008, -23/+7Old xkcd, but still a goodie. However, pretty soon haters are going to come insult us for digging it.
Still, dugg.- Jrr6415sun, on 10/09/2008, -3/+8this was dumb
- MalarkeyPN, on 10/09/2008, -2/+6Right-o.
- thcobbs, on 10/09/2008, -1/+1Well, I wasn't going to bury you till you made such an asinine comment.
But I'm feeling particularly apathetic today.... so... DIGG!
- Elliottx, on 10/09/2008, -17/+5Yeah. I don't get why people bitch when they see something funny or interesting.
"Hey, thanks for showing me this, it's good. Also it's ***** gay and should die in a fire"
Heart XKCD.- mistermaster, on 10/09/2008, -3/+0Simple egotistical thinking: "I already saw and laughed with this, so it serves no further purpose whatsoever"
Still, XKCD is very well known here (front page every new comic), so pasting past strips seems certainly useless, hence my bury.
- mistermaster, on 10/09/2008, -3/+0Simple egotistical thinking: "I already saw and laughed with this, so it serves no further purpose whatsoever"
- TheGreatFuzz, on 10/09/2008, -14/+0to reset the sign would mean to put it back to 0.0 correct?
so.. does this mean that every day someone increments it?
if no one resets it because they are being lazy... then why is someone taking the effort of adding another day..
ITS JUST A CARTOON!!!! STOP WITH THE QUESTIONS!!... jeez - Snoosy, on 10/09/2008, -11/+92Monday, Wednesday, and Friday is bad enough to see xkcd on the front page. Now we get old ones on Thursdays?
- macweirdo42, on 10/09/2008, -8/+2Hey, gotta fill in the gaps somehow.
- thcobbs, on 10/09/2008, -0/+1I thought that was a job for Palin's husband.
- bonk2k, on 10/09/2008, -4/+3THIS is an old one? So someone went through the xkcd archives and said "this is the best one to submit to digg." Its kinda funny but why pick this one? Its not nearly as good as some of the others.
- DeathRay2K, on 10/09/2008, -2/+1And what's wrong with that? I'd like to know. 'Cause here I go again!
- drex8, on 10/09/2008, -0/+1%u2013 xkcd!
- macweirdo42, on 10/09/2008, -8/+2Hey, gotta fill in the gaps somehow.
- koldmilk, on 10/09/2008, -16/+5First the economy now this...
- Apophis574, on 10/09/2008, -14/+28So now we're going to dig up old XKCD on Tuesdays and Thurdays....
- Lucas123, on 10/09/2008, -12/+2Whah??? I mean, this is like the ultimate who-knows-why-this-thing-got-on-the-front-page-of-Digg cartoon.
- Lucas123, on 10/09/2008, -0/+1Wow. I'm getting buried like crazy. There must be a secret society of people who think these stick-figure drawings are clever, even when they aren't. Isn't there?
Either that, or there's a hidden secret code in these drawings that I'm missing and that make people like them.
- Lucas123, on 10/09/2008, -0/+1Wow. I'm getting buried like crazy. There must be a secret society of people who think these stick-figure drawings are clever, even when they aren't. Isn't there?
- IanG73, on 10/09/2008, -19/+31God damn this XKCD sucks ass. And it's old. Buried.
Also, let the comment graveyard begin! - zakbroman, on 10/09/2008, -19/+14WOW THAT'S REALLY FUNNY, CREATIVE, AND NEW
- SIN002, on 10/09/2008, -4/+0It is? :S
- roxgod666, on 10/09/2008, -0/+3People really need to start tagging their sarcasm. We have no way of telling what's inside of your mind or if you're a republican.
- andretii, on 10/09/2008, -12/+1works for me
- scabbers, on 10/09/2008, -21/+13THIS IS SO AMUSING HAHAHAHAHA FRONT PAGE DIGG FOR SURE
/S - DemiRonin, on 10/09/2008, -12/+1That....is an awesome sign
- abajaj2280, on 10/09/2008, -13/+4wow, i can draw stick figures too.
- cJw314, on 10/09/2008, -0/+1Ah, but are you funny, on occasion? No.
- China08, on 10/09/2008, -30/+23***** XKCD.
- leerayIG88, on 10/09/2008, -13/+2I only see white people....racist much?
- douglasr007, on 10/09/2008, -13/+2I love xkcd sometimes.
Good thing this message will probably be buried. - woofer1125, on 10/09/2008, -14/+3so i ate broccoli today.
this post has nothing to do with the comic. much like how the comic has nothing to do with anything. - IllBeBack, on 10/09/2008, -11/+3363 times since xkcd was amusing...
- dkbmx85, on 10/09/2008, -11/+0Paradoxical sign or oxymoron sign would probably been a better title
- snowblind113, on 10/09/2008, -14/+3The ice cream truck just drove by. Ice Cream > XKCD
- fwertz, on 10/09/2008, -14/+57Digg me up, for no particular reason.
- bdfariello, on 10/09/2008, -14/+1"fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again."
Buried.- roxgod666, on 10/09/2008, -0/+1Good job proving a quote wrong...if that even was a real quote?
- fwertz, on 10/09/2008, -0/+2It's ok, he tried.
- bdfariello, on 10/09/2008, -0/+1At the very least, it's way less successful than the last guy I saw do this. He got at least 700 net diggs.
And for the record, yes, it is a real quote from someone who seems very easily fooled.
- bdfariello, on 10/09/2008, -14/+1"fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again."
- RedPhalanx, on 10/09/2008, -10/+1wut?
- chevrongolf, on 10/09/2008, -11/+2I don't see what everyones problem with xkcd is. Has anyone looked into it, for any further information? The guy behind it is smarter than most of you. He's actually a pretty kool guy. Let's not get angry because we have no sense of humor.
- SmilinBob82, on 10/09/2008, -14/+8Although I find about 75% of xkcd pretty funny, I see no reason in digging these. Especially the old ones.
If you're a xkcd fan(like I am) you'll probably wind up going to the site on Monday, Wednesday and Friday before you even see it on the front page.
(In before buried)- snowblind113, on 10/09/2008, -0/+1I cant bury you fast enough.
- marinebro0306, on 10/09/2008, -12/+5Such a stupid comic...
- tulanian12, on 10/09/2008, -10/+2***** THE RIAA!
- MalarkeyPN, on 10/09/2008, -9/+2No no no, see it's funny because, like, it's a sign that's ABOUT ITSELF! Classic recursion! Bulls-eye!
Ha ha, it doesn't even have a purpose! They could take it right off that wall and it wouldn't matter a bit, not one bit! They could replace it with a clock, or a needlepoint, or a singing bass, and it wouldn't even change a thing! The cartoon is funny because it is completely devoid of purpose or meaning, like a pen and ink black hole that swallows itself into a pointless void. aaaha ha hahaha h aha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha !!!!! - MCGrunge1, on 10/09/2008, -9/+1I like porn!!!
- snowblind113, on 10/09/2008, -10/+1Hey guys, did I miss anything?
- silverzone, on 10/09/2008, -9/+2What the ***** is so funny about that? It's retarded.
- theotherdude, on 10/09/2008, -9/+2xkcd belongs in my RSS feed, which is where I look at it on Monday/Wednesday/Friday and then just ignore them on digg. Buried for the submitter being an idiot.
- esteadee, on 10/09/2008, -7/+1OLLLLLDDDDDD
- duckyinc, on 10/09/2008, -6/+1It's been 3 seconds since someone dugg this comment.

- snowblind113, on 10/09/2008, -7/+1Hey click this link to bury faster! http://www.mtmultipleuse.org/public_access/images/ ...
- KnightofOrder, on 10/09/2008, -6/+0EVERYONE MUST BE DUGG DOWN NOW.

- cJw314, on 10/09/2008, -1/+2Who doesn't?
- Chassit, on 10/09/2008, -6/+1XKCD ***** sucks.
- FreshHaikus, on 10/09/2008, -5/+0II suffer from a condition called hyperhydrosis which basically means my sweat glands are like leaky faucets. I am 28 years old but I wear adult diapers (Depends™) so that the back of my pants doesn't have a streak of wetness down them. At first this was all I used them for -- to cover up the stain of my butt sweat -- but over time I learned to enjoy wearing diapers for the other benefits they confer. I can pee in public. I can be speaking to somebody and I can literally pee my pants, and nobody has to know but me. There are very few things quite as stimulating as unloading my bladder into soft cottony absorbent material and letting my penis swim around in urine for a while before everything is absorbed. Yesterday I was talking to a woman I have a crush on and I peed myself, and it was the most erotic thing that ever happened to me. I tried pooping in them once but it was a horrible mess to clean up and it smelled bad :(
- nericus, on 10/09/2008, -0/+1That's a whole new level of ***** up.
and yet, I've no doubt there's video of just that on the internet.
- nericus, on 10/09/2008, -0/+1That's a whole new level of ***** up.
- snowblind113, on 10/09/2008, -7/+2bury me
- OmarCominYo, on 10/09/2008, -3/+13I was stationed at Eielson AFB in North Pole, AK from 2002-2003. This base (and pretty much every Alaskan military base) had a huge DUI problem. So the wing commander gets the great idea to put a XX days since last DUI sign at the main gate. It was facing the outgoing traffic so it was the last thing you saw when leaving the base. He says that if the base could go 30 days without a DUI, the entire wing would get a 1 day pass.
That sign never made it past 7 days. It was pathetic. The commander then decided that whoever got the last DUI had to change the numbers everyday. Well that didn't really work as a deterrent because everyone knew you'd only have to endure the embarrassment for a few days before someone else got popped.
EDIT: Ah man, after I submitted this I noticed the comments became a graveyard. Please spare me! - Trots, on 10/09/2008, -5/+2The endoplasmic reticulum, or ER, is an organelle found in all eukaryotic cells that is an interconnected network of tubules, vesicles and cisternae. The lacey membranes of the endoplasmic reticulum were first seen by Keith R. Porter, Albert Claude, and Ernest F. Fullam in 1945.
- Eisim, on 10/09/2008, -7/+2***** thing ***** sucks! *****!
