The Office's B.J. Novak uncovers Cadbury Egg conspiracy watch!

youtube.com — I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it. While on Conan O'Brien, B.J. Novak from "The Office" reveals that Cadbury Eggs have actually gotten smaller, despite Cadbury's claims that, "the eggs haven't gotten smaller, you've gotten bigger!".

    Their head chefs are accountants, never forget that. If it kills you but its cheaper, they use it as long as its legal or semi-legal. If they can shrink it or put more air bubbles in it, they will.

    I work at a grocery store, every now and then the toilet paper comes with a few less sheets, chocolate bars are a tad smaller, chips have slightly less per bag, drinks become smaller.

Consumers see the same price and assume it's the same size, so the company says no harm no foul. Now, Cadbury just outright lying about it is pretty unethical. But, like you said, in reality it happens all the time. You mention chips, just take a look that the $.99 "Big Grab" bags of chips that you get at convenience stores. Those have been $.99 for years, that cost is ingrained in our minds so we'd notice if that changes. But, is anyone really going to notice when the serving size changes from 2 1/8 oz. to 2 oz? Hell, even the bag stays the same size, there's just less in it.

And..vegetarians and vegans tend to be "smaller", and they also tend to be weak. And yes, I know personally. I went hiking with my sister and her friend who are both vegans, they couldn't keep up and quit half way through.

      I think they are OK but not as good as the used to be...the filling from the old eggs used to be much more creamy, now its as if they use way cheaper sugar. The filling is more "gritty" for lack of a better word.

    The Canadian site on the other hand says that they are 39g, which they are and have always been in Canada.

    So the site is not lying, people are just in too much of a rush to jump on the hype to see it's a UK site, not a US site.
