This Is Why I Hate Facebook
shopmissbehavin.com — I want to reply with a '***** you' Request.
- 4437 diggs
- digg it
- arijfroo, on 08/06/2008, -46/+491I hate it because girls can sit on their asses all day conducting their love lives, but then never get off their asses to do anything about it.
The evolutionary process is going to weed out Facebook users.- Evi1d33d, on 08/07/2008, -0/+39And people say there's no girls on the internet?
- PimpSetBitch, on 08/07/2008, -29/+10I remember when some kids would act all high and mighty because facebook was exclusive to college students. Now that its open to everyone they don't act that way anymore.
- ZenMojo, on 08/07/2008, -1/+33@Pimp
It's not a coincidence. - marm0lade, on 08/07/2008, -2/+19Yes I do. I still say "haha high schooler, I have been using facebook since the mid-80s, therefore I am infinitely cooler than you".
Now what, wanna be pimp? - poxonyou, on 08/08/2008, -14/+5PimpSetBitch: No, people still act that way. I have talked about how I hated Facebook since I knew about it, but always get dugg down, just like you are. It's just incredibly annoying and offers the user very little creative control. It's like a step back to Friendster, but with a ton of annoying "apps" and groups. I still prefer Myspace overall, more for the Music part of it, but they all suck.
- ericmerrill, on 08/07/2008, -1/+60What?
- simpleid, on 08/07/2008, -7/+3well, then there's just as many guys.... and how can you complain about all those people being removed from the gene pool? this is the best news i've heard all hour!
i hope they don't find a way to bread through the internet, i wonder how far they'll take e-mail. there might be something in the inbox you weren't ready for some day soon ....- fexxstyle, on 08/07/2008, -1/+6I also hope they do not find some way to bread through the internet.
- thecompkid, on 08/08/2008, -0/+28If they found out some way to bread through the internet, we'd be toast.
- palmy523, on 08/08/2008, -1/+2@Simple
And here you are, sitting at YOUR computer.
- pciulla, on 08/07/2008, -12/+3I have one app.................
............. and Its "addicted to Entourage" ...f*ck everything else - ftw8tw, on 08/07/2008, -0/+17no apps needed
just pic and wall- alexforcefive, on 08/08/2008, -9/+3and flixster, steam achievements and groups
(and superpoke) - alexforcefive, on 08/08/2008, -1/+2... what, we can't even joke about superpoke?
- alexforcefive, on 08/08/2008, -9/+3and flixster, steam achievements and groups
- chaoswings, on 08/07/2008, -2/+42There is nothing wrong with facebook. This is more a case of having app happy friends. You know, the ones who click on advertisements disguised as dialog boxes and then wonders why their computer has a virus. Then of course it's your fault because you were the last one to help fix his/her computer or the last one who touched it.
- juliajean, on 08/07/2008, -2/+14And you wonder why there are barely any females appearing on digg when there are generalizing assholes like yourself. It's not just girls; there are plenty of male facebook users I have seen that add every love related app imaginable; rate ur crushes, how hot am i, am I naughty or nice, or compare me...
As a female, the only apps I have are photos, wall, and bumper sticker. I only allowed bumper sticker because it throws a little color on my basic profile.- carpeclunes, on 08/08/2008, -7/+13Shouldn't you be cooking or something?
- 11oops, on 08/08/2008, -0/+5go back to 4chan carpe
- DanSheldon, on 08/08/2008, -1/+5@carpeclunes
Shouldn't you be getting out of your parents basement and finding a job or something? - mserebreny, on 08/08/2008, -5/+0oh my god..... not that I disagree with you, but droning on like that, you're just proving the point
- dfdirecto, on 08/08/2008, -0/+9There are plenty of males who use retarded facebook applications too.
Also, I'm totally sitting on my ass right now conducting my love life on Digg, because that's what stupid women do all day, right? Right. That being said, I'm going home to make out with my boyfriend. He's totally off-line, I swear. - leahpee, on 08/08/2008, -0/+3So, you don't have a girlfriend?
- Ragarnok, on 08/08/2008, -2/+3You got it wrong, facebook is going to wipe humanity out, think about it, when every girl's 400pound because she spends 23hours a day sitting on her ass commenting "how awesome friend #3243 looks!" we'll be screwed...or not, bad choice of word
- 6efa, on 08/08/2008, -1/+0thats why i have myspace
yupiiiii - Excessive, on 08/08/2008, -0/+2idiocy here is to let all of those applications to access your information in the first place.
you're about to expose yourself.
cancel or allow? - mserebreny, on 08/08/2008, -0/+1Originally, I think that's what Myspace was for..... Facebook was supposed to be a festivus for the rest-of-us
- Evi1d33d, on 08/07/2008, -0/+39And people say there's no girls on the internet?
- godmode, on 08/06/2008, -19/+543pro-tip: dont install apps youre never going to use.

- BJLStorm, on 08/07/2008, -27/+6Pro-Tip 7: This was a triumph
Pro-Tip 8: C-C-C-Combo Breaker! - Aeomyr, on 08/07/2008, -19/+2Pro-Tip 9: I'm making a note here, huge success!
- sirmasterboy, on 08/07/2008, -7/+1ultimate pro tip: you can block any of those app notifications before you even get any ever.
- thebza451, on 08/07/2008, -17/+3Pro-tip 10: Bury people who make Pro-Tip X comments.
- Darkaged, on 08/07/2008, -4/+24Pro-Tip 11: To defeat the Cyberdemon, shoot at it until it dies.
- Zebceponaf, on 08/08/2008, -1/+4Please stop the digg circle jerk. Think of the children for the love of god! and the kittens.
- TheMidnight, on 08/08/2008, -2/+9Pro-tip 12: Collect pro tip comments, take a screen shot, and post it to digg.
- arnoldez, on 08/08/2008, -8/+1heh that pro-tip 6 made my day.
- redneckblues, on 08/08/2008, -0/+3@Zebceponaf
Perhaps a bad choice of words...
- sdub74, on 08/07/2008, -6/+56Doesn't matter if you have the apps installed, you still get the requests unfortunately.
- Mononuclear, on 08/07/2008, -2/+13not if you block the app
- PathDaemon, on 08/08/2008, -0/+6Not if you disable Facebook Platform.
- imontoya, on 08/08/2008, -2/+2echo 127.0.0.1 facebook.com www.facebook.com >> /etc/hosts
echo 127.0.0.1 facebook.com www.facebook.com >> C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts
There, that oughta fix that pesky facebook.
- sgtbutterscotch, on 08/07/2008, -0/+63geez, how many friends do you have to have to get that many invitations? or is just one obnoxious friend? maybe this should should be called "This is Why I Hate My Friends"
- crickey23, on 08/07/2008, -0/+4I have a friend who has like 50 apps. I'm glad they put in that Ignore All Invites option, so now I don't have to see any of them!
Also, the new Facebook pages don't display the apps on their pages. You have to go to a different tab for those.
- crickey23, on 08/07/2008, -0/+4I have a friend who has like 50 apps. I'm glad they put in that Ignore All Invites option, so now I don't have to see any of them!
- sonicularulus, on 08/07/2008, -0/+33Pro-tip 3: Block all app invites.
- monkeysama, on 08/07/2008, -0/+42Pro Tip... don't be friends with douchebags who spam you with invites.
- RudeTurnip, on 08/07/2008, -1/+184Q-tip: Useful for keeping ears clean.
- Scynet, on 08/09/2008, -0/+3Pro-Q-tip: Medical experts advice against using Q-tips for ear cleaning, as it destroys the mucus whose job it is to protect the ear from actual bacteria.
- Coffeedemon, on 08/07/2008, -0/+6My friends have sense enough to not send me notifications for ***** they know I won't add. Maybe he/she just needs some friends with a clue.
- kevro, on 08/07/2008, -0/+6Non-Pro Tip: Just add them all , then the requests will go away.
- viewdrix, on 08/07/2008, -2/+8Ultimate pro-tip: don't have thousands of friends on Facebook.
I refuse to believe that, if this is real, it's the result of a close-knit group of friends rather than a lot of acquaintances. The 67 new messages (actually, probably more than that, as it's 67 message "threads") helps to imply that all these invites and messages were gathered as someone logged off for a long, long time. You'd think that if the guy or girl who took the screenshot kept Facebook friends to people he actually talked to regularly on Facebook, they all would have figured out a while ago that he wasn't replying to messages, application invites, and I assume stopped writing on walls or sending messages himself. So I have to assume that the messages and invites were gathered over months and sent by acquaintances or even strangers that didn't know better and didn't care enough about the guy or girl to check their profile and see how inactive they were.- DearSergio, on 08/08/2008, -1/+7Thank god for detective viewdrix.
- arnoldez, on 08/08/2008, -5/+2too long, didn't read
- sleepwalkers, on 08/08/2008, -1/+4Don't treat Facebook like MySpace and you won't end up with that problem.
- Satanier, on 08/08/2008, -4/+5Pro-tip: Internet memes are for idiots.
- Nintendoom, on 08/08/2008, -0/+8redundant comment is redundant
- rand21althor, on 08/08/2008, -1/+7I see what you did there.
- tylermenezes, on 08/08/2008, -0/+13Protip: Don't install friends you're never going to use.
- Vich, on 08/08/2008, -1/+3You can always uninstall them later, or replace them with better versions.
- Exekutor, on 08/08/2008, -1/+3Protip: Don't use friends you're never going to install.
- peterjmag, on 08/08/2008, -3/+4Please don't kill me for this: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/group.php?gid=70 ...
- WELLDOITLIVE, on 08/07/2008, -0/+150Pro-tip 2: Don't install apps, period.
- RadioFreeOpium, on 08/06/2008, -155/+1340installing as many apps as possible to get a morbid screenshot with the sole purpose of putting it on places like digg isn't why you hate facebook. Its why you hate yourself. And thats a lesson we can all learn. ALL ABOARD! WHOOOO WHOOOO!!!!
- esteskid, on 08/07/2008, -7/+258I'm not sure what you mean this is what happens when you ignore requests and DON'T install the apps
- giveer, on 08/07/2008, -30/+3"Ignore" as in actual, real-world ignore. He's Ignoring the request.
'Ignore' doesn't always mean there's a link or button involved.
It's a mind scramble, I realize. Baby steps my friend, baby steps. - MtheoryX, on 08/07/2008, -2/+13@giveer:
It's not a "mind scramble", it's you not making any ***** sense.
If I told you that a baseball bat plus a pink ribbon equals a giraffe, you'd be confused. But, according to you, I can just say "its a mind scramble" and try to make everyone else seem like they aren't smart enough to get it.
In short, try reading what you post; you make zero sense in the context of the comment to which you're replying. - Penn, on 08/08/2008, -0/+1No it's not. If you click ignore the notifications disappear.
- giveer, on 08/08/2008, -1/+1@MtheoryX
Ooooooooooh... I get it. Your fantastic grammar threw me WAY off. The magic of commas and periods are something else.
Thanks for the entertaining defensive retort though - that was a plus. Next time, yes, I will take everything into account and remind myself that you may actually know what you're saying, but can't be bothered to type it out quite right. Then, you can -and I quote- "try to make everyone else seem like they aren't smart enough" because they assumed you'd know how to communicate.
If that's a 'win' for you, run with it.
- giveer, on 08/07/2008, -30/+3"Ignore" as in actual, real-world ignore. He's Ignoring the request.
- phaertes, on 08/07/2008, -3/+52As esteskid says above, these aren't because the person installed apps. This is because his network is full of morons that install every crap app and then gives the app access to their contact list to invite other people.
Oh Facebook, what have you become?- LBobRife, on 08/07/2008, -0/+9I spent 1 lecture period of a boring class just blocking all the facebook applications i could find. I no longer have to deal with that *****. It didn't take too long and helped pass the time. I recommend doing something similiar if you're really that mad with them.
- JoeDiggsIt, on 08/07/2008, -6/+5Uh, not really. I have several hundred friends on Facebook and I rarely get these kind of requests any more, this is obviously faked or from when the API first came out and all the apps showed up, or both. Nevertheless, I call BS on this.
- jsd8cc, on 08/07/2008, -0/+8That's like blaming Mozilla for when a site opens 50 popup windows with JavaScript.
Blame the user, not the equipment.
(I was going to say "blame the user, not the tool" but those happen to be the same thing in this case.) - metroidragon, on 08/07/2008, -0/+4@JoeDiggsIt
It doesn't matter how many friends you have, it's usually maybe a half-dozen or so dweebs that install every app possible and send invites out constantly, I have 600+ requests for apps and I only got about 120 people on my friends list. - Metasquares, on 08/08/2008, -2/+1MySpace.
- celkin, on 08/08/2008, -2/+2Get a Mac.
/irrelevant - DNABeast, on 08/08/2008, -0/+3Maybe you should only add 'Friends' when they're actually your friends.
- jordan314, on 08/07/2008, -2/+31Yeah, you don't understand how facebook works. I have "Not installing Facebook applications" as one of my interests. I hate installing them, and my notification screen looks like this too.
- Mononuclear, on 08/07/2008, -0/+9you don't understand how facebook works because you can completely block invites from apps
- jordan314, on 08/10/2008, -0/+1I do understand, but want to see what my friends are attempting to do. Most of them are ignorable but some may not be.
- CaRnlvOr, on 08/07/2008, -20/+10WHY SO SERIOUS?.......
- toastybeast, on 08/07/2008, -7/+2thank you.
- fmyidotcom, on 08/07/2008, -0/+5You're most welcome.
- Cajole55, on 08/08/2008, -1/+1De Nada
- celkin, on 08/08/2008, -1/+1No, thank YOU.
- philiph, on 08/07/2008, -2/+3These requests are from "so called" friends using these bloody awful apps in lack of lives to attend to and by using them they "accidentally" send invites to all their friends. And that's why you hate facebook!
- zoltan3887, on 08/07/2008, -1/+4well uhm...seeing as how these are all application REQUESTS from friends and that they are not installed...
- Mononuclear, on 08/07/2008, -0/+5Yes this is fake unless he hasn't logged in for 6 months. If it is real he is a retard for not either A) blocking the app invites or B) getting rid of the retarded friends who send them.
- joshmiao, on 08/08/2008, -1/+1C) Not logging in for 6 months
- Radica1Faith, on 08/07/2008, -2/+3This is eerily similar to my own post a few months ago. Same title and everything. I call shenanigans.
http://onlyslightly.blogspot.com/2008/04/why-i-hat ... - DentThat, on 08/08/2008, -8/+1morbid? You mean FAKE.
It's obviously a fake. The whole drop down menu is composed from many drop down menu's stitched together. You can tell by scrolling up and down really fast and see it distort and angle a bit.- Shawn4168, on 08/08/2008, -1/+6Ever try to take a single continuous screenshot of a 6 page long webpage? No, I thought not. And they're not dropdown menus BTW.
- DentThat, on 08/08/2008, -1/+3oh *****! you got my ass
- LoveAndSeagulls, on 08/08/2008, -0/+1actually you get requests even if you don't install the applications...
- jimmick, on 08/08/2008, -0/+2The flame train is air conditioned.
All aboard
- esteskid, on 08/07/2008, -7/+258I'm not sure what you mean this is what happens when you ignore requests and DON'T install the apps
- Cenobite, on 08/06/2008, -5/+253There are many compelling reasons to hate Facebook, but this - by virtue of the conspicuous "ignore all" option - isn't one of them.
- log1k, on 08/07/2008, -0/+9ignore ftw
- BlueSkyfish, on 08/07/2008, -0/+24http://i37.tinypic.com/15ekbb6.png
Seriously, its not that ***** hard. - feliks2, on 08/08/2008, -0/+1Forget the ignore button, how about you just get some new, not-so-idiotic friends. I hardly get any of those at all. The only time it was annoying was in the several months after Facebook just launched the apps when everyone (myself included, unfortunately) was spamming random invites.
- MasterKopek, on 08/08/2008, -0/+1Agreed. Merit of this digg has reached 0%.
- omgsoemo, on 08/08/2008, -0/+1its my favorite button of all
- brendanryder, on 08/06/2008, -12/+569and a partridge in a pear tree.
- altosaxon, on 08/07/2008, -3/+54That has to be the first good comment I have read in a very long time.
- DaMaista, on 08/07/2008, -17/+8FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVE GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINGS!
- Waynerz99, on 08/08/2008, -2/+31uhhh...was it not five "golden" rings?
- aquablackmage, on 08/08/2008, -0/+2I don't see why people are burying your comment. I guess diggers don't watch Eddie Izzard.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNHeBRE2l_o
- fxu1989, on 08/08/2008, -0/+10Well done sir. Well done.
- futurepro9, on 08/08/2008, -0/+1That was actually very clever. Nicely done.
- savethegobbos, on 08/09/2008, -1/+1Wow, one of the most off-beat and clever comments I've seen on Digg. You, sir, win.
- MadMeninc, on 08/07/2008, -21/+3i dont want to buy you i dont want to join your mob i care about your groups, yes i agree facebook blows almost as much as myspace. GO TO NING AND OPEN YOUR OWN SOCIAL NETWORK!!
- captaindigger, on 08/07/2008, -110/+279Mistake #1: Joining Facebook.
- sockpuppets, on 08/07/2008, -11/+73Am I the only person in the world without a facebook account?
- warpdesign, on 08/07/2008, -6/+33No, I don't have one either...
- rudeboyskunk, on 08/07/2008, -5/+25I got rid of mine after I realized how lame it is.
- OdinTGE, on 08/07/2008, -5/+30No, never had one. Or mysapce.
- Cenobite, on 08/07/2008, -8/+61Here you go, guys. Cookies all around.
- blackinthmiddle, on 08/07/2008, -2/+28I don't have one. Don't feel compelled to get one either.
- Terra21, on 08/07/2008, -3/+20Nope, i don't have one either and not interested in it.
- Gerfervonbob, on 08/07/2008, -3/+13Nope
- CotP_DoM, on 08/07/2008, -1/+13Nope. I have had plenty of my friends try to get me to sign up, but all have failed.
- bbqsalad, on 08/07/2008, -1/+5nope, never had one either, have only visited facebook a handfull of times, had a myspace account when it first opened.. but after a while they did nothing, added no new features, never worked properly so i deleted my account.. i suppose im just not popular.
- endlessoul, on 08/07/2008, -1/+5No.
- metroidragon, on 08/07/2008, -1/+31Although facebook has some bad points, it's still an extremely useful site, I find out about many of the parties I attend thanks to facebook, I met up with people from around the world and keep in touch with them through facebook. I met 2 people in Munich about a month back and found out we are all from Vancouver, now we're all good friends thanks to the social networking that Facebooks provides.
It's core use still applies, that has never dissapeared, it's just mired in many unneccesary uses as well. - Erik1, on 08/07/2008, -1/+3@ rudeboyskunk
You never truely get rid of it, they will have your information forever :) - ralphthemagi, on 08/07/2008, -6/+1@metroidragon
You actually stay in touch with old friends, or do they just periodically say somethign on your wall like OH HEY REMEMBER ME? LOL!
And the core use of Facebook was for finding people in your school and in your classes. That functionality is almost completely gone. In fact, I believe Facebook actually retired the original "courses" application because no one used it anymore, then some kid created it again as an app and people started using it... and now no one uses that one either. - MrManiac, on 08/07/2008, -2/+2Never getting one, no matter how great the pressure.
- Radan, on 08/07/2008, -0/+1Well, I do have a Facebook account even though I'm strictly against it. Though, the only reason that I got it however is because I think it's a great concept for getting others and giving away your contact information to your friends. Since about every single one of my friends got Facebook, if I for example change my phone number, everyone will instantly know about it without me having to mass email them or similar.
The apps, the wall-thingy I don't care about, but if it makes people keep using Facebook, fine by me. - BlueSkyfish, on 08/07/2008, -0/+1I have one because my friends aren't always on AIM and half of them don't check their email.
- Cenobite, on 08/08/2008, -0/+3@MrManiac
What about if someone put a gun to a puppy's head and said if you don't get a Facebook profile they'll kill the puppy? - xkingADROCKx, on 08/08/2008, -0/+1Never had a Facebook, or a Myspace, infact the only social networking I ever did was on MSN and that only lasted about 3 months before I got sick of it.
- Deadpixel1221, on 08/08/2008, -0/+1Yes... I mean NO.

we should make a social network of people without facebook accounts. - Pinkyabuse, on 08/08/2008, -0/+0I don't have an account either. Never have.
- ih8ducks88, on 08/08/2008, -3/+2Facebook is great for stalking young children and then abducting them at the local shopping mall... I mean I use Facebook to keep in touch with "friends".
/sarcasm
...or is it? - RoboRay, on 08/08/2008, -0/+3Facebook cured my scabies!
Uh, wait a second... [scratch scratch scratch] - Brad324, on 08/08/2008, -0/+2I only use it to stalk ex-girl... acquantances.
- darkknightita, on 08/08/2008, -0/+1No
- BoneheadFarker, on 08/07/2008, -8/+8No...Facebook was good at one time. But then the apps came. I stopped logging in shortly after that...
- drunkmonkey01, on 08/07/2008, -2/+7just ignore the apps. don't accept requests, and if you don't hang out with retards you shouldn't be getting 50 requests a day

You can't help who you're related to. And apps are one thing...friend requests from people you've never heard of before are another... - pardimate, on 08/07/2008, -2/+5If you are getting friend requests from people you've never heard of, then go into your privacy settings, into the search settings, and make it so people who can't see your profile cannot add you as a friend. Make sure only your friends can see your profile. Any real life friends will tell you they have Facebook, or you can find them and add them.
So shut the ***** up and stop whining. - iChainsaw, on 08/07/2008, -0/+1"Facebook began. And for a time, it was good" lol animatrix
- Remmiz, on 08/07/2008, -5/+11I made my account when it was thefacebook.com and only for college students aka in the golden days. Sadly I just can't let it go after all these years.

- dezholling, on 08/07/2008, -0/+5Facebook was good when it was just Harvard....
Just kidding. But seriously, facebook was good when it was about being able to look up who is in your class and contact them. In other words, it was good before the apps and the kiddies came along. I wish someone would make a "new" facebook that was the college-only, app-less facebook I loved. But I suppose there's no money in that....- PMartinez527, on 08/08/2008, -0/+0new.facebook.com

- drunkmonkey01, on 08/07/2008, -0/+3Facebook now prohibits applications from forcing users to invite a certain number of friends in order to use an app. They should all have a small link at the bottom somewhere that said "continue anyways" or "don't invite anyone", although ive seen a few that still dont

Applications are blockable- bsolidgold, on 08/07/2008, -0/+15I was going to say the same thing.
I NEVER get application invites anymore. - itsripitsrip, on 08/07/2008, -1/+25it's protip man.
protip.- thetanman, on 08/07/2008, -1/+4He made thriller... thriller.
- Paigewithlove, on 08/07/2008, -1/+6Alternatively, the person can just click "ignore all" and be done with it instead of ranting like a little baby about it. If it bugs them that much either block or just don't bother with facebook at all.
- BevansDesign, on 08/07/2008, -2/+9This screenshot is true of how Facebook could potentially be, from about a year ago. Since then, Facebook has reigned in Apps to the point that they're not annoying anymore. They've added tons of anti-spamming features, and offending apps get their ability to create more spam throttled down until they're virtually locked down.
So, stop digging up these "omg facebook apps suck" stories.- worldchanger, on 08/08/2008, -0/+1amen.
- MrsButtersworth, on 08/07/2008, -7/+2A Facebook "pro"? How adorable.
- logload, on 08/08/2008, -0/+1Yeah you can block all of them in one click... not an issue at all.
- bsolidgold, on 08/07/2008, -0/+15I was going to say the same thing.
- pathouston22, on 08/07/2008, -6/+431I only get about 1-2 spam invitations a week from a pool of about 250 friends.
Chose smarter friends?- burstaneurysm, on 08/07/2008, -11/+88Ah, irony.
I think the word you were looking for was 'choose'.- pathouston22, on 08/07/2008, -13/+7Grammar nazis! They are not on my friends list.
- laplie, on 08/07/2008, -7/+32"Chose" can be appropriate if he means it as "[I] chose smarter friends?" . Though an implied "I" is rarer than an implied "you" as in "[You] chose smarter friends?" (but that doesn't make much sense since smart friends would not give many spam invitations) "Chose stupider friends?" would make more sense with an implied "you".
- f4nt0m4s, on 08/07/2008, -1/+4from Google "define: chose"
"past tense of choose, as in: My son chose a university near home."
or
"Simple past of choose"
Chose rhymes with rose and nose. Remember that. - pathouston22, on 08/07/2008, -4/+4So I could say I left the 'I' off. Or I misspelled 'choose'.
If only I cared enough about spelling on the internet.... - Cenobite, on 08/07/2008, -1/+10Preterite, *****. Do you spoke it?
- f4nt0m4s, on 08/07/2008, -3/+1No, you would have sounded like a bigger idiot if you left the "I" out.
"I chose smarter friends?"
As if asking us to validate your choice of friends. You would have been better off just running with the spelling error rather than arguing with the dictionary. - TecK415, on 08/07/2008, -0/+5After reading all these comments I've repeated choose so many times in my heard that the word is beginning to sound retarded...
Anyone know what I mean? - TecK415, on 08/07/2008, -0/+1***In my head**

Learn to not fail.- itsripitsrip, on 08/07/2008, -1/+2prrrrrrrrrrrrretty sure he wasn't using in that context.
or we've been trolled. - metroidragon, on 08/07/2008, -1/+5Chose was not perfectly valid there.
'chose smarter friends' is past tense, in which case it's missing the subject. 'he chose smarter friends' or 'I chose smarter friends' would have been acceptable. - omegadude, on 08/09/2008, -0/+2his sentence is missing a subject. if he were issuing a command like 'go eat *****,' then a subject wouldn't be required.
- masterfiddler11, on 08/09/2008, -0/+0The "I" is the implied subject, such as in the classic example of "Stop", where the subject is "you". Though it is not written, it is implied.
And while I agree that he did not mean it in this fashion, it is grammatically acceptable. - NecroDigg, on 08/10/2008, -2/+1I love taking the piss out of grammar fags. Seriously, how well does McDonalds pay these days? Cause that's the best your english lit degree will get you.
