            For the single portal only gun - the game should make getting sliced in half a real 'killed by environment' danger. (thus the warning?)

            But, for the double portal gun, it is very helpful to open 1 portal then stand in it and open another portal.

            They felt a need to add the heel springs because tester's where not buying the long falls. Chell recovers health extremely fast.
            What Josh said above was a GlaDOS line about how Chell will be sent to android hell. Towards the end GlaDOS makes some comments on how Chell's brain is backed up but GlaDOS has deleted the backup.
            There is speculation that the writing on the walls where from Chell herself.

      and the Spartans would be home in time for dinner, with delicious and moist cake!

For whatever reason, Portal won't let you use the +lookdown command which would make it a lot easier.

      No need to do careful alignment. Shoot a portal above and bellow and as you fall, look all the way down and keep shooting portals over and over again without moving the mouse. You will quickly get portals that are aligned.

Think about it, it would be like trying to create friction on a road while you are being dragged by a car at a constant velocity.

      This game was the start of Portal and a college project of the team who would eventually make Portal. It's nowhere near as awesome, but the concept and puzzle making are all there.

      "So I was skimming around on Digg.com today and I learned that someone Dugg my comic "Harrison Ford Never Rides Bitch" from a couple of months ago. The article had almost 2,000 other people Digg it, as well. Pretty cool, huh?

      Well, actually no. It wasn't cool because the person who Dugg the comic linked directly to the image and not back to the page in the archvie where it's being displayed. So not only did I miss out on a huge revenue generating opportunity, I was also denied credit on the piece and people are unaware that there's a larger site behind the comic - so it's unlikely that I gained any new readers from the exposure. What's worse, is because the dude linked to the image itself, it's sucking down my bandwidth without any of the positive side effects!"
