- RetroRufio, on 07/30/2008, -1/+15You do realize that 9.9 times out of 10 it's the DIRECTOR telling the actor to do whatever he/she does on set, so blame James Cameron.
At the end of the day, the director says "that's good, lets keep it". If he had said "act like a bad ass", I'm sure DiCaprio would have done so. He has always been a great actor. - DontDoDrugs, on 07/30/2008, -7/+32 minutes later, she's prying his dead, lifeless, clenched hand off of the board that she's floating on...

- ajde, on 07/30/2008, -0/+2I think things like this usually stay wrong until everyone who lived through it is dead, but... this definitely has some level of awesomely bad in it.
- dagnabbit, on 07/29/2008, -0/+35I actually saw this thing at a local small-town parade and block party so just had to look for it online.
No kids were using it when I walked past BTW.- CaptMonkey, on 07/30/2008, -0/+21Yeah, I've seen one of these in person also. I made a remark to my friend about how in another century, kids will be jumping out of an inflatable World Trade Center.
- DefaultGen, on 08/01/2008, -0/+1What will it be called? The 9/11 Kid-Spiracy? Suicide Toddler?
- Larsonal777, on 07/31/2008, -2/+3Wow... I seriously went on one of these like 12 years ago when they had them at my grade school for something. In fact I've seen them ALL over the place. I guess I don't know if it actually had a pun on it for titanic but everyone who refered to it called it the titanic slide.
I mean it's kinda sad that you would get all up in arms NOW about it. Kids play with toy guns and play WWII and all that jazz... no problem. Kids play/sing "ring around the rosey" which is about the plague and all the millions of people who died there.... no problem. Seriously people... get over yourselves.- dagnabbit, on 07/31/2008, -1/+1Nobodys up in arms about it - it's ***** hilarious. Oooh you've seen it before - so the ***** what.
- Larsonal777, on 08/03/2008, -0/+1umm... I'm missing the hilarity... or reason people are up in arms... or whatever reason this has 1226 diggs.
- CaptMonkey, on 07/30/2008, -0/+21Yeah, I've seen one of these in person also. I made a remark to my friend about how in another century, kids will be jumping out of an inflatable World Trade Center.

- zornleben, on 07/30/2008, -7/+9Did I miss when this meme(is it a meme?) was ever funny?
- Lozzzzzzzzzz, on 07/30/2008, -7/+1yep
- Arcesius, on 07/30/2008, -5/+5It's a pretty effing sick meme, actually. The original dude was referring to two friends of his who died in the Virginia Tech shootings. Have some compassion, for crying out glayven.
- Mystlyfe, on 07/30/2008, -3/+1Seriously, it is the most ***** up meme ever. Death isn't something to laugh at to begin with, let alone the VT shootings. Bastards, stop keeping it alive.
- Darkswarm, on 07/30/2008, -1/+1No, it wasn't ever funny. Don't worry about it.
- Matt2k, on 07/30/2008, -0/+3> Death isn't something to laugh at to begin with
Really? Are you sure about that? You sound awfully certain
I'll remember this next time someone posts a Dawin awards list - fudged71, on 08/03/2008, -0/+1hey guys
- ursername180, on 07/30/2008, -4/+2Hello, Lillian Gertrud Asplund.
- algaeturd, on 07/30/2008, -9/+4Actually this is one of the FEW times where the ***** thing fits. You've been digging it over and over for all the comments which made no sense and all and you're burying the ONE that actually does fit the bill.
You guys aren't confusing, you're confused. There's a huge difference.- Darkswarm, on 07/30/2008, -4/+2Yeah, you're right! Why should we be burying a 19-year-old who says he had friends die in a crash that took place 96 years ago?
You're buried too, by the way, for defending a stupid, dying meme.
- Darkswarm, on 07/30/2008, -4/+2Yeah, you're right! Why should we be burying a 19-year-old who says he had friends die in a crash that took place 96 years ago?
- banido, on 07/30/2008, -6/+2Well I laughed, DUGG!
- Foenetik, on 07/30/2008, -5/+2welcome to my blocked list...

- calebh, on 07/30/2008, -2/+8So the goal is to get to the top. Sounds like fun :D
- stevenbrown, on 07/30/2008, -0/+1You climb up the middle 'cabins' and then turn around and slide down the 'decks' I went on a regular one of these when i was like 9
- speedk0re, on 07/30/2008, -0/+2yeah but you have to watch out for that dude with the big ass hammer.
- wanderingsun, on 07/31/2008, -0/+2dugg for "ass hammer"
- redslash, on 07/30/2008, -3/+9I guess "climb the castle wall" just got too old.
- Schmich, on 07/30/2008, -22/+6For those who don't understand the name: Tot = 'dead' in German
- riskybeats, on 07/30/2008, -1/+30Or Tot = Child in english
- darkciti2, on 07/30/2008, -0/+11The door is only tall enough for a child to enter.
Or I guess you could fit a dead body through that door horizontally... - HenvY, on 07/30/2008, -0/+14What the ***** does this have to do with Germany?
- BoonTobias, on 07/30/2008, -11/+3you know....hitler + world war 2 n *****
- Puttzy, on 07/30/2008, -1/+5Now is the time you should crawl into a corner, hide your face, and accept the pointing and laughing that ensues.
- DaHuuuuuudge, on 07/30/2008, -0/+5Why would they name a children's moon bounce the "Dead-Tanic"?
- ispeakasian, on 07/30/2008, -2/+7Why does that guy have a sledgehammer in his hand?
- BTraina, on 07/30/2008, -0/+8Do you really believe a piece of ICE sunk that ship?
sledgehammers... - riskybeats, on 07/30/2008, -0/+13I dont know how you keep your kids in check... Trusty Old Knee-snapper never steered me wrong though.

- Egroh08, on 07/30/2008, -26/+191***** you. I had two friends that died on the tot-tanic.
- JasonHaley, on 07/30/2008, -3/+37*****...that meme made me laugh for the first time.
- quiggibub, on 07/30/2008, -14/+6Somehow that never gets old.
- wc3452, on 07/30/2008, -2/+15It just did...like two weeks ago.
- zippyhat, on 07/31/2008, -0/+4Didn't it start two weeks ag....
oh.
- jenel, on 07/30/2008, -3/+9Where and when did that meme originate? Serious question, no sarcasm or anything else intended. I've only seen it around Digg for a few days, but I don't know what to make of it (although it sounds a lot like the "That's not even funny, my brother died that way" meme).
- algaeturd, on 07/30/2008, -39/+2Is this a joke? You just asked us where it originated and then pointed out that it's EXACTLY like 'That's not funny, my xxx died in a xxxx."
You answered your own question in like 2 sentences. How do all memes start? A bunch of pointless chatter of useless people wasting time on the internet. That's how and where ALL internet memes originate.
Honestly. Were you looking for a link to the first inception of this meme to maybe a 'meme museum' or something? Or a wiki article denoting the history of the meme?
It's just a meme. People will still be using it in a week and those people will be made fun of. It's the nature of the useless meme and the nature of the sheep minded people who troll the internet.
Goodnight and Thank You. - jenel, on 07/30/2008, -0/+24Hey, no need to become offensive here, it was a simple question. I was asking because I've seen this variation on Digg for a few days and I was curious. The "That's not even funny, my brother died that way" variation is older, and yes, I figured that it's related, but I wanted to know this particular meme's origin.
Also, you could have just answered instead of writing a 4 paragraph rant. - Lozzzzzzzzzz, on 07/30/2008, -0/+14It came from here: http://digg.com/tech_news/Digg_We_Have_a_Problem_P ...
- HenvY, on 07/30/2008, -6/+54I invented it. Well not really, but I helped kickstart the meme. :D
"***** you. Two of my friends died trying to run Crysis."
I'm kind of a big deal. - stateofmind, on 07/30/2008, -8/+1Snorg Tees!
- j4nj1m3n3z, on 07/30/2008, -0/+7It started on this article about Virginia Tech building some kind of super computer and obviously, someone brought up the shootings and that is where the meme started.
- Rainemaker, on 07/30/2008, -3/+15***** you. Two of my friends died buying Snorg Tees.
- jenel, on 07/30/2008, -0/+7Thanks Lozzzzzzzz and everyone, here's 10 free internets from me, redeemable anywhere :)
- algaeturd, on 07/30/2008, -39/+2Is this a joke? You just asked us where it originated and then pointed out that it's EXACTLY like 'That's not funny, my xxx died in a xxxx."
- algaeturd, on 07/30/2008, -10/+3Tell me why the guy about TEN POSTS UP who made the comment about TEN POSTS EARLIER was dugg down when this one was dugg up? Nepotism? It's much funnier when someone says they know someone who died on the Titanic than on the Tot Tanic because nobody dies on the ***** Tot Tanic. They jump around and ***** themselves and stuff like that.
People on the real titanic may have shat themselves, but died shortly after doing so.
Death in dark, deep icy waters is 1000000 times cooler than implying death on an inflatable toy. 1000000000 times cooler.- skabyss, on 07/30/2008, -1/+7That is exactly why its funny you humorless pedant
- d4ftpunk, on 07/30/2008, -3/+17....but can it run crysis?

- jcrs, on 07/30/2008, -5/+27I hope I live another hundred years so I can make a free fall attraction where people jump off of one two buildings and try to land in a huge pile of foam rubble. I'll call it "Escape From The Twin Towers Of DEATH!!!" I'm sure there would even be people around who might still remember 9/11. Wow! I bet that'd make 'em feel great!

- Travelsonic, on 07/30/2008, -7/+3"The sinking resulted in the deaths of 1,517 people, but now it's fun for the whole family!"
Where the hell has the author been? I've seen this around for quite some time already.- Rotzooi, on 07/30/2008, -0/+7Not all of us are stalking children's parties 7 days a week.

- Miamisun, on 07/30/2008, -0/+65Too Soon?
Can not wait 2065 to come around seeing my great grand kids playing on the World Tot Center- sigmaman2, on 07/30/2008, -0/+16I can see it now...
The kids climb up in between the two vinyl towers, then slide down either side, out of a window with inflatable flames coming out of it, onto a painted city street below.
On the back of the slide is a jetliner being flown by a smiling Bin Laden.- DarwinBC, on 07/30/2008, -0/+2LOL that's too funny
- canofig, on 07/31/2008, -0/+1I think it will be driven by George Bush... reading a children's book... upside down...
- DarwinBC, on 07/30/2008, -0/+2LOL that's too funny
- sigmaman2, on 07/30/2008, -0/+16I can see it now...
- MasterGrief, on 07/30/2008, -2/+3I saw this like a decade ago.
- D14BL0, on 07/30/2008, -2/+2What's wrong with this? It's not like it's supposed to be a joke. It's an inflatable slide for children who wouldn't even see humor in this, anyway.
When adults look at children's toys, it really defeats the purpose.
Also, they've had these for at least 13 years now, because I actually rode on this exact same one (maybe not that particular unit, but the same "Tot-Tanic" branding), when I was 7 back at a rich kid's birthday party. - MariettaMama, on 07/30/2008, -0/+2I wish I knew where the picture of this was, My Niece climbed this thing three years ago in Ellijay Ga. The apple fest had this one, but it didn't have a name.
- inkubusfan, on 07/30/2008, -1/+3so ***** up.
- Cubine, on 07/30/2008, -1/+7This has been out for ages. 10 years at least.
And seriously, this is probably more respectful to the Titanic than that god-awful movie. - chrissku, on 07/30/2008, -1/+5http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Millvina_Dean
- D14BL0, on 07/30/2008, -1/+4"...possesses no recollection of the sinking."

And yeah that means it is OK.

- pfournier, on 07/30/2008, -1/+0oh my. ummm oh my.
- fr33dan, on 07/30/2008, -2/+3People are offended by this? They used to have it every year at the local fair here. I used to be favorite part. It is actually a challenge to climb up (at least for anyone 10 and under)
- Coffeedemon, on 07/30/2008, -1/+1They had this (or one like it) in Halifax when I lived there 5 years ago. It lasted about a week at a site about 100 feet from the waterfront (and the museum that has a number of exhibits on the Titanic). General outrage caused them to pack it up and ship it out of town. As an Atlantic Canadian I feel the same way ... glorifying shipwrecks where people lost their lives just to make some money off kids and parents who haven't a clue is disgusting to me.
Bear in mind that a number of folks who died on the Titanic are buried in the surrounding areas (121 in Fairview Lawn Cemetery). Its not that it it too soon but it is far too tasteless and crass to have such a thing (sinking and broken in half too no less) for kids to play on. If you find this "funny" I'd imagine you're of the mindset that they are catering to... 5 year olds. - plnegative1, on 07/30/2008, -0/+1ive been on that thing before

- xero69, on 07/30/2008, -0/+2I guess it's more acceptable than the giant inflatable Pikachu where the kids enter via his crotch
