- LewP, on 06/08/2008, -4/+66This better make front page, someone put a ton of work into it.
- l800LEMMINGS, on 06/09/2008, -0/+5i don't see mr chimpo
- robdiggity, on 06/09/2008, -1/+7...and no Spider-Man. Of course if it were spelled/pronounced Spiederman there would be no question.
- portis, on 06/09/2008, -14/+2None of them can compare to the religion of Chuck Norris. The religion of PAIN!
- fletcher008, on 06/09/2008, -1/+8i guess you didnt get the message, the whole Chuck Norris thing isnt funny anymore.
- feachador, on 06/09/2008, -1/+4... anymore?
- fletcher008, on 06/09/2008, -1/+8i guess you didnt get the message, the whole Chuck Norris thing isnt funny anymore.
- ptxyz, on 06/09/2008, -5/+3Some people have W-A-Y too much free time on their hands.
- cl2yp71c, on 06/09/2008, -0/+1Yea....so get off digg.
- pyro789x, on 06/09/2008, -11/+5I put half a year of in-game hours of work into my WoW account, but if I put up a page linking to my WoW account I would expect - no - demand to be buried. Digg isn't a charity. Some stories may be cheap victories that come to the front page easily (Yahtzee reviews anybody?) and some may be well-deserved publicity to somebody that created something truly interesting, but just because somebody put a lot of work into it does not mean it belongs on digg's front page.
- slogged, on 06/09/2008, -2/+6WoW is stupid, Super Heroes are awesome.
- GreatSunJester, on 06/09/2008, -2/+1/sarcasm
Oh yes, because reading about the adventures of fictional beings as written by someone else is so much more awesome than controlling the actions of fictional beings.... - pyro789x, on 06/09/2008, -0/+1Good, glad to see you agree.
- GreatSunJester, on 06/09/2008, -2/+1/sarcasm
- slogged, on 06/09/2008, -2/+6WoW is stupid, Super Heroes are awesome.
- DiggzDE, on 06/09/2008, -0/+4All that work for a lousy Server crapout.
- ZenMojo, on 06/09/2008, -0/+1I remember this from years ago. Guess they updated it artistically.
- Charlotte_Web, on 06/09/2008, -0/+5Looks like the evil Dr. Digg Effect has struck again!
Where's Scaling Server Man and the Load Balancing Kid when you really need them? - Rich711, on 06/10/2008, -0/+1Does this mean Digg will start talking trash about Daredevil, Nightcrawler and The Punisher and start posting conspiracy theories about how The Thing and Kitty Pride are manipulating the international banking system to get make themselves wealthy while stealing the Palestinians land?
Or simply bitch about how unfair Abomination is portrayed and how he deserves his own series?
- l800LEMMINGS, on 06/09/2008, -0/+5i don't see mr chimpo

- ICSU, on 06/09/2008, -0/+5Fictional characters' favorite fictional characters
- tehbored, on 06/09/2008, -0/+15No Wonder Woman? Also, how are these determined anyway?
- warplayer, on 06/10/2008, -2/+1By reading the article....
- therazor, on 06/09/2008, -10/+6Is it just me or are most of these super heroes not to well known? I love comics and read them occasionaly but Mr. Christian?
http://www.adherents.com/lit/comics/MrChristian.ht ... I also didn't have a clue who 90% of Muslim super heroes where and 80% of all the heroes
I think this list would be amazing with villains but I can't even imagine how long it would take.- serif69, on 06/09/2008, -0/+12Mr. Christian oh the time has come
- robdiggity, on 06/09/2008, -9/+4THANKS A LOT BUDDY.
[I have that Eric Cartman disease where you hear the first part of a song and you MUST complete it]
And you know that you're the only one
To say O.K.
Where you going
What you looking for
You know those boys
Don't want to play no more with you
It's true
You're motoring
What's your price for flight
In finding mister right
You'll be alright tonight
Babe you know
You're growing up so fast
And mama's worrying
That you won't last
To say let's play
Sister Christian
There's so much in life Don't you give it up
Before your time is due
It's true
It's true yeah
Motoring
What's your price for flight
You've got him in your sight
And driving thru the night
Motoring
What's your price for flight
In finding mister right
You'll be alright tonight
Motoring
What's your price for flight
In finding mister right
You'll be alright tonight
Sister Christian
Oh the time has come
And you know that you're the only one
To say O.K.
But you're motoring
You're motoring
- robdiggity, on 06/09/2008, -9/+4THANKS A LOT BUDDY.
- arusso, on 06/09/2008, -2/+2It's not a complete list of villains, but with Nixon and Bush, they have a good start...
- edwartica, on 06/09/2008, -0/+1Yeah, if only the Fantastic Four went after these guys instead of wasting their time going after Dr Doom.
- serif69, on 06/09/2008, -0/+12Mr. Christian oh the time has come
- JigoroKano, on 06/09/2008, -14/+76If you were Superman, I doubt you'd be that impressed by Jesus.
It's incoherent to fit religion into characters that are mythical themselves.- saltinekracka20, on 06/09/2008, -12/+7I never saw Superman turn any water into wine. I don't care who you are, that's impressive.
- VolSurrealist, on 06/09/2008, -2/+15I've seen Penn & Teller do it.
Funny AND impressive! - bjs3171, on 06/09/2008, -1/+4He can walk on water, though.
- trevorh, on 06/09/2008, -1/+2So could Rita on Arrested Development.
- edwartica, on 06/09/2008, -2/+2So can Barak Obaama.
- happystatic, on 06/10/2008, -0/+1so could zod and his pals...
- JigoroKano, on 06/09/2008, -0/+20Superman turned coal into diamond.
- edwartica, on 06/09/2008, -2/+1I used to know someone who was so tight @#$#ed, that they could - well, you get the drift.
- rohcky, on 06/09/2008, -1/+4All he asks is that you turn around.... tur.. turn around.
- VolSurrealist, on 06/09/2008, -2/+15I've seen Penn & Teller do it.
- Lynxpro, on 06/09/2008, -10/+5Has Superman raised anyone from the dead just by talking to their corpse? Can he multiply bread and fish so you don't have to make an extra trip to Costco?
- moojuece, on 06/09/2008, -0/+23He brought Lois Lane back from the dead by reversing the spin of the Earth or some sort of crap like that....
- Defuser, on 06/09/2008, -10/+4Maybe if you weren't so busy trying to find some way to be a snarky jackass, you could lighten up enough to get the actual point of the article.
- saltinekracka20, on 06/09/2008, -12/+7I never saw Superman turn any water into wine. I don't care who you are, that's impressive.
- mattisallama, on 06/09/2008, -2/+16i didn't know chef (scientologist) was a super hero
- ramunenke, on 06/09/2008, -0/+9well you must have never tasted his chocolate salty balls then
- leonardomdc, on 06/09/2008, -4/+0have you??
- DNABeast, on 06/09/2008, -0/+5Chef isn't a scientologist. He's a member of the 'Super Adventure Club'.
You're thinking of Issac Hayes.
- deeauds, on 06/09/2008, -1/+9honestly, i don't think the wonder twins were LDS, and neither was Obadiah Stane. -- besides, Iron Monger is more of a Supervillain.
- TEHxINTERWEBS, on 06/09/2008, -1/+14What category would Ace and Gary fall under?
- Cenobite, on 06/09/2008, -0/+16I'd say Agnostic. Because they may or may not be...
- JCizle, on 06/09/2008, -0/+4The Ambiguously Religious Duo
- Jenton, on 06/09/2008, -1/+2Perhaps under 'ambiguous'.
- boyzo, on 06/09/2008, -3/+37No MrBabyMan on that list?...
- jeremyduffy, on 06/09/2008, -5/+9Go Wiccans!
- rootryan, on 06/09/2008, -6/+7Wiccans are morons and attention whores.

- rootryan, on 06/09/2008, -6/+7Wiccans are morons and attention whores.
- GalacticRerun, on 06/09/2008, -0/+18If there are Simpsons and South Park characters in there, shouldn't Bender be in there? Didn't he speak to God once? Or did I miss him in the list?
- mescad, on 06/09/2008, -0/+8He's not on the list, but Bender is a Robotologist.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion_in_Futurama- edwartica, on 06/09/2008, -1/+1Well, he was, then he went back to Robot Judaism.
- w21irving, on 06/11/2008, -0/+1he WAS god[at least to the little people that lived on him in space] in the episode that he also got to talk to god
- mescad, on 06/09/2008, -0/+8He's not on the list, but Bender is a Robotologist.
- shutaro, on 06/09/2008, -1/+44Since when is "Hippie" a religion?
- Xproject01, on 06/09/2008, -2/+9since Led Zepplin
- edwartica, on 06/09/2008, -1/+1If you've ever talked with real hippies - eg those who went to woodstock and still live in communal farms and what not - then you would know that Hippie-ism is indeed a religion.
- franklymister, on 06/09/2008, -4/+32Where is the Legion of Pastafarian Super-Heroes?
- mediaspree, on 06/09/2008, -0/+20Lisa Simpson, Superhero?
- Scorch44, on 06/09/2008, -0/+1Thats what I was wondering. There are some strange people in there that are considered superheros,
- qtipju, on 06/09/2008, -0/+2Chinese Human Calculator o.0

- moleeyes, on 06/09/2008, -1/+2ʎuoɹı
- gnarnia, on 06/09/2008, -1/+6Not necessarily. It could be the result of two reflections...

Err... Mirror anyone? - brjndr, on 06/09/2008, -3/+2Man, Sikhs don't even get a Legion. They list a Society of Sikh Supporting Characters. Thanks just sucks.
At least we had a cool super-villain, Kahn from Star Trek.- Lynxpro, on 06/09/2008, -0/+5...you forgot Captain Nemo, who is either a hero or a villain depending upon ones' perspective.
- counterplex, on 06/09/2008, -1/+1That's only his portrayal in that horrible movie "the league of extraordinary gentlemen". The highest probability is that he was meant to be Christian since he was written by one.
- GreatSunJester, on 06/09/2008, -0/+5Verne's Captain Nemo was Hindu, educated in the west. Hollywood cast him as european originally. The League movie cast him back as he should have always been.
- counterplex, on 06/09/2008, -1/+1That's only his portrayal in that horrible movie "the league of extraordinary gentlemen". The highest probability is that he was meant to be Christian since he was written by one.

- Alkain, on 06/09/2008, -0/+7Wtf. Where is Squirrel Girl? She beat Dr. Doom's ass and she isn't up there. :P
- Feep, on 06/09/2008, -0/+6Apparently, forty-seven years of Spider Man comics have still not delineated his religious identification. Any guesses?
- Lynxpro, on 06/09/2008, -1/+6His wedding to Mary Jane was at a courthouse. I've always thought he was either a non-religious Protestant (of the Methodist/Episcopalian variety) or a non-religious Jew. The Parker last name could be either, but Aunt May is probably Irish (Catholic or Protestant).
- JohnboiWaltune, on 06/09/2008, -1/+1I think you have answered your own question
- manicleek, on 06/09/2008, -28/+24Religious affiliation? I thought superheroes were intelligent
- pitchblack16, on 06/09/2008, -3/+1great work
- mescad, on 06/09/2008, -0/+29http://www.comicbookreligion.com/
The original source has a lot more info and categories (including villans, but most of them are "alien" religion) and includes atheist and agnostic categories.- JCizle, on 06/09/2008, -1/+3Name: J. Jonah Jameson
Religious Affiliation: hate Spider-man - asnider, on 06/09/2008, -0/+6I love some of the religious affiliations listed.
The Joker's religion is, apparently, "being Batman's arch-enemy." And J Jonah Jameson's religion is "hating Spider-man."
Stupid, but hilarious. - dtfinch, on 06/09/2008, -0/+3It seems like all the atheist comic book characters are communist villains.
- JCizle, on 06/09/2008, -1/+3Name: J. Jonah Jameson
- Ymeg, on 06/09/2008, -12/+12Since when was objectivity and atheism a religion?
- Defuser, on 06/09/2008, -6/+4Since always. I'm not going to get into some pinheaded Digg war about something so incredibly obvious.
- darthrevan00m9, on 06/09/2008, -1/+7Since the dictionary defined religion as "a specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects"
- Rizmaster, on 06/09/2008, -9/+3It's idiotic for religious types to try and identify with comic book characters without specified religious affiliations. There's a whole website of retards trying to figure out what kind of christian Captain America is, like that is in any way relevant.
- JCizle, on 06/09/2008, -2/+2Just like some would say its idiotic for you to whine on Digg about people doing idiotic things...
Some people like religion. Some people like super heroes. Its bound to come up together. If you don't, fine. Get over yourself.
- JCizle, on 06/09/2008, -2/+2Just like some would say its idiotic for you to whine on Digg about people doing idiotic things...
- magicsquid, on 06/09/2008, -0/+10Thunderbird is both Mormon and Hindu? That seems like an unlikely combination...
- Conwaysb0718, on 06/09/2008, -4/+1you know... magical undies, but for cows.
- cleverboy, on 06/09/2008, -0/+4There wasn't just ONE "Thunderbird" you know.
- smellytim, on 06/19/2008, -0/+1more unlikely that the green lanterns Jewish-Catholic affiliation?
- krisscofield, on 06/09/2008, -0/+12I wonder if Galactus had a god...? Or ate one.
- GreatSunJester, on 06/09/2008, -1/+2He probably did at one time have a god or "divine guiding spirit"..... also probably dropped the belief at the wayside when he survived the big collapse of his universe, the big bang into ours and gained an appetite for planets.
- bjs3171, on 06/09/2008, -3/+14George Bush and Reagan are superheroes? That's pretty *****.
- Teh1337Pirate, on 06/09/2008, -0/+3Reagen Smash!!! ......Reagen sleep.....
- Rizmaster, on 06/10/2008, -1/+1To the kind of crazy christian ***** who maintain a site like this? Of course they are.
- Lucifugerising, on 06/09/2008, -0/+3Kinda reminds me of the new storyline DC is going to tackle soon. What political party each hero is. I ***** you not.
Bad idea me thinks.
Cool link though...- KingGorilla, on 06/09/2008, -0/+1I'm looking forward to Marvel Apes
not really maybe

- alphonseragusa, on 06/09/2008, -7/+3Where's McLovin?
- LordofthePoles, on 06/09/2008, -9/+1Superman - Scientologist
- asnider, on 06/09/2008, -1/+12Bibleman? Bible Girl?
*****, I don't recognize the vast majority of those characters.- Lucifugerising, on 06/09/2008, -0/+1Alot of them seem to be either C-Listers from the silver age, independant characters, or non comic related.
- thebigmammoo, on 06/09/2008, -0/+16LOL @ Acidic Jew
- kaplanfx, on 06/09/2008, -0/+1I thought to myself... That can't be real. Also I never knew that "The Thing" was chosen.
- MattNF, on 06/09/2008, -0/+32Scientology is not a Religion.
- GreatSunJester, on 06/09/2008, -0/+3OT-Man -- he thinks he can FLY and if you pay him enough, he will convince you that you can think you can fly too!
Yes, that reads they way I intended it!

- inajeep, on 06/09/2008, -2/+1No Santa Clause or Jesus or Aqua Team Hunger Force ... Oh and no links that work.
- rbarkc, on 06/09/2008, -1/+2Would you happen to mean 'SANTA CLAUS" NOTE... NO 'E' in Claus....
Also would you happen to mean 'Aqua Teen Hunger Force'... NOTE... it is TEEN... not TEAM...
If you are going to try to make a witty comment you can at least spell correctly.- RobotKeaton, on 06/09/2008, -0/+0He probably meant Santa Clause like the Tim Allen movie. Y'know, the one that probably made you ***** a bloody bath of laughter.
- rbarkc, on 06/09/2008, -1/+2Would you happen to mean 'SANTA CLAUS" NOTE... NO 'E' in Claus....
- Gooba, on 06/09/2008, -0/+16I don't know about you, but whatever religion Ghost Rider is I'd go with him. Seeing as he actually deals with God and Satan on a regular basis he probably knows better than me. Also, I don't see how you can be an Atheist in Marvel or DC since you can literally see Thor/Heracles/Ares on television so at least you know Norse/Greek religions got something right.
- GalacticRerun, on 06/09/2008, -0/+2How about Spawn?
- KingGorilla, on 06/09/2008, -0/+1what about spawn
