- bixby1, on 06/26/2008, -10/+17I've always wanted Nick Fury on the big screen. Clive Owen would be great for that.
- swordedge, on 06/27/2008, -0/+5there are nick fury movies
Nick Fury: Agent of Shield (1998) (TV), played by David Hasselhoff
Nick Fury (2010), Announced, Stan Lee is involved as writer
Plot A daring amateur boxer from Hells Kitchen is recruited by the Army for some top-secret assignments. He soon is promoted to captain, where he puts together the First Attack Squad, a group of elite soldiers who carry out elite missions- edwartica, on 06/27/2008, -0/+5Yeah, didn't you read the article?
"Oh, and that horrendous David Hasselhoff TV movie doesn't count. My god, does it not count." - mattcoady, on 06/27/2008, -0/+3Stan Lee is the character writer. Chances are he'll have little to nothing to do with the movie script.
- arjtin, on 06/27/2008, -0/+2Is it going to be about a WWII era Nick Fury? If so, will it still tie into the whole avengers thing marvel movies are trying to tie in right now?
- easypie, on 06/27/2008, -1/+0Marvelomatrix!!
BOOM BANG BOOM
- edwartica, on 06/27/2008, -0/+5Yeah, didn't you read the article?
- darkchild82, on 06/27/2008, -1/+69Samuel L. Jackson is Nick Fury, he appeared at the end of Iron Man after the credits.
- PhoenixAvatar2, on 06/27/2008, -3/+7And there is no one who could be better as Fury.
- warplayer, on 06/27/2008, -4/+3I highly disagree. Sam Jackson is so overused now days.
- romeyinfc, on 06/27/2008, -0/+7Yes, but he'll put non-comic fans in seats for this movie as well, especially since Nick Fury isn't as well known as Spiderman and the Hulk.
Plus Nick Fury's wallet probably also says "Badass Motherf***er" on it as well.
- hella81, on 06/27/2008, -4/+7That is the Ultimate version of Nick Fury, not the Nick Fury mentioned in the story. Two different guys from two different universes.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nick_Fury#Other_versi ...- PhoenixAvatar2, on 06/27/2008, -1/+5The movies exist in their own universe and continuity. They can use whatever parts of the character they want. Just because Nick Fury is black in the movies doesn't mean they can't base a Nick Fury movie on one of the older stories.
- Kumaku, on 06/27/2008, -3/+2Leave the theatrical technicalities out of this one, Phoenix. The fact that the man knows enough about comics to point this out is something I have to tip my hat to.
- edwartica, on 06/27/2008, -1/+4So, just because it doesn't happen in universe 616, that doesn't mean it didn't happen. :P
- cesclaveria, on 06/27/2008, -0/+2what I would love is that Brand New Day turned out to not be happening in the 616 universe.
/yes, offtopic comic book rant, but I guess you guys get it. - jaynemother, on 06/27/2008, -0/+1@ces. Do you really think they'd do that? Come on.
- mazdaspeed79, on 06/27/2008, -0/+1@Phoenix
They are clearly trying to, with the marvel movie universe, begin a continuity that spans the different franchises. Iron Man has a tie in to Hulk. Hulk mentions Captain America. Both Movies reference the Avengers. Clearly Sam Jackson is the front runner for any movie Fury in the future.
- supermanred, on 06/28/2008, -0/+3He's in The Incredible Hulk too, and he will star in 2010 just before The Avengers Movie as Nick Fury in his own movie. He will probably yell at some point "Assemble the ***** avengers!!!"
- PhoenixAvatar2, on 06/27/2008, -3/+7And there is no one who could be better as Fury.
- btraxx, on 06/27/2008, -7/+2I love Samuel L. Jackson as much as the next guy, but why is Nick Fury black now?
- Serapthi, on 06/27/2008, -1/+15Most of the Marvel movie characters are based off of the Ultimates version. In the Ultimates version, Nick Fury is black.
- PhoenixAvatar2, on 06/27/2008, -1/+17Actually in the Ultimates version, Nick Fury is Samuel L Jackson. Even says so in one of the issues where the characters are talking about who they'd like to be played by in a movie. It's what the writer had in mind from the start and obviously Jackson loved it.
- macweirdo42, on 06/27/2008, -0/+2Actually, in his first appearance, Ultimate Nick Fury did not, in fact, look like Samuel L. Jackson. By the time the Ultimates series came out, though, the character's appearance was altered.
- liquidhalcyon, on 06/27/2008, -0/+3Not only did Jackson like it, but before Hitch even penciled the first issue, he had to get permission from Jackson to use his likeness in the book.
- Stemnin, on 06/27/2008, -2/+2Because he's ULTIMATE!
- kansai22, on 06/27/2008, -0/+2Even if it wasnt based off the ultimate I want you to think about this. Who out there is really bad ass enough to play Nick Fury considering Kurt Russel is getting really old no one is better than Sam Jackson.
- jaynemother, on 06/27/2008, -0/+2 Bruce Willis or Clive Owen
- SupaFlyTNT, on 06/27/2008, -1/+0Bruce Willis is pushing 60 years old; and clive owen, i see him as a reluctant hero; not a bad ass.
- idiotkings, on 06/27/2008, -1/+1Viggo Mortensen
- EmperorAwesome, on 06/27/2008, -0/+1Nick Fury IS really old though.
- swordedge, on 06/27/2008, -1/+1to make you Furious!!!!!
- Serapthi, on 06/27/2008, -1/+15Most of the Marvel movie characters are based off of the Ultimates version. In the Ultimates version, Nick Fury is black.
- swordedge, on 06/27/2008, -0/+5there are nick fury movies
- mspink, on 06/26/2008, -15/+12I'd like to see a Marvel movie of Venom and his alter-ego Carnage. It would be total annihilation. I heard a Deadpool flick was also in the making.
- DrCrankenstein, on 06/26/2008, -6/+2Carnage was always one of the most badass characters. Just look at his name! And the red venom suit!
Deadpool was insane too.- elnerdo, on 06/27/2008, -2/+3Deadpool got owned by freaking SQUIRREL GIRL!. He's not that cool.
- Memitim, on 06/27/2008, -0/+4Squirrel Girl rivals Captain Marvel in power. Hell, Dr. Doom got owned by Squirrel Girl so badly that she just had to show up in his house and tell him that she was taking his ***** and Doom grumbled and capitulated. It ain't exactly the badge of dishonor to get your ass kicked by her.
Besides, Deadpool pretty much gets his ass kicked by everyone at some point or another and yet still keeps killing by the dozen while cracking wise. He was still hardcore enough to go toe-to-toe with Hulk while his healing factor was impaired and walk away.
- pyroglass, on 06/27/2008, -2/+28Alter-ego? what are you talking about? Carnage was a completely different person
- MRintheKeys, on 06/27/2008, -0/+6He was Venom's offspring to be even more specific.
- chancesarent, on 06/27/2008, -1/+8Alter ego=alternate identity. Carnage is Venom's son merged with a serial killer, not an alternate identity.
- PhoenixAvatar2, on 06/27/2008, -7/+2you mean != ?
- lordewoks, on 06/27/2008, -0/+4Deadpool is in the new Wolverine movie: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0458525/
- bainfu, on 06/27/2008, -0/+2Believe it or not, I think Ryan Reynolds could be a very good cast for the merc with a mouth.
- EmperorAwesome, on 06/27/2008, -0/+1I just noticed the new rumors at the bottom. I really really really hope the story starts off in his James Howlett days.
- kansai22, on 06/27/2008, -0/+3DId you see Spiderman 3 I would rather they leave venom alone forever. I dont even want to imagine what they would do to Carnage. I just have the picture of the Riddler and Two-Face from Batman Forever in my mind.
- MRintheKeys, on 06/27/2008, -0/+1Unfortunately they were better off than Dr. Freeze and Poison Ivy.
- DrCrankenstein, on 06/26/2008, -6/+2Carnage was always one of the most badass characters. Just look at his name! And the red venom suit!
- LegendaryHitman, on 06/26/2008, -4/+17Good list.
And let's not forget Namor...- Scrappy1850, on 06/27/2008, -1/+11id like to forget namor
- edwartica, on 06/27/2008, -0/+7I laughed when, in DC vs Marvel, The sub mariner got his ass kicked by aquaman.
- ShitStainedBall, on 06/27/2008, -2/+2"Could you get me a scotch and soda? And if you could try and keep the saltwater out of it?"
- victimofkratina, on 06/27/2008, -1/+3oh comeon. namor looks about as ***** as the elves in lord of the rings. how could you sit through a 2 hour movie of that?
- Memitim, on 06/27/2008, -0/+3Namor sucks. Way to damned much of him throughout Marvel continuity.
- Scrappy1850, on 06/27/2008, -1/+11id like to forget namor
- FuryOfThor, on 06/26/2008, -5/+7Or, as shown at the end of Iron Man, Samuel L. Jackson, the original badass.
- blacksteve0, on 06/27/2008, -3/+3Yeah but Sam as Nick Fury? He's just going to yell his lines the whole time.
- liquidhalcyon, on 06/27/2008, -0/+6Have you read the Ultimates? Sam Jackson IS Nick Fury.
- kansai22, on 06/27/2008, -0/+6....... and your point is.....?
- Elranzer, on 06/27/2008, -0/+4And...?
- slvrbullet87, on 06/27/2008, -1/+8HAVENT YOU SEEN MY MOVIES THIS IS HOW I TALK!!!!!
- blacksteve0, on 06/27/2008, -3/+3Yeah but Sam as Nick Fury? He's just going to yell his lines the whole time.
- skipthefrog, on 06/26/2008, -1/+7Nick Fury movie is already in the works.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0482631/- sterntastic223, on 06/27/2008, -9/+2It'll never get made.
- ssn697, on 06/27/2008, -1/+18you didn't stay through the credits at Iron Man, did you?
- c3rul3an, on 06/27/2008, -0/+3Or The Incredible Hulk credits.
- lAmoebal, on 06/27/2008, -1/+0People saw the Incredible Hulk?
- FyreGoddess, on 06/27/2008, -1/+7As is the Ant Man movie: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0478970/
- zonk3r, on 06/27/2008, -0/+6Directed by Edgar Wright, director of such classics as Spaced, Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz.
- nishay, on 06/27/2008, -1/+3as well as captain america
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0458339/
and silver surfer
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1051916/- Cougnut415, on 06/27/2008, -2/+0Captain America, hmm? ... Cold War's over, I thought we could forget about him now...
- lordewoks, on 06/27/2008, -0/+4Best line of Nick Fury movie: "Enough is enough! I have had it with these ***** heroes on this ***** plane!"
- diablo2032, on 06/27/2008, -3/+0For Ultimate Nick Fury (movie), I nominate this guy:
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0925227/
(the dude that played spawn)- Nooze2k, on 06/27/2008, -0/+1Seeing as Marvel based the Ultimate version of Nick Fury on Samuel L Jackson, why not pick him? Do a Google Image Search for 'samuel l jackson nick fury', and the first two results you see are exactly why they should pick Mr. Jackson for the role.
- victimofkratina, on 06/27/2008, -0/+1this has to be because there are so many movies about government agents out.
- FutureAEI, on 06/27/2008, -0/+1I may be seeing things, but in the beginning of the Hulk movie, there was a document displayed which had a reference to Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D. It was too quick for me to see more than that.
- sterntastic223, on 06/27/2008, -9/+2It'll never get made.
- upick, on 06/26/2008, -1/+5Multiple man rocks! didn't they do something similar as a movie before tho?
- sterntastic223, on 06/27/2008, -2/+11multiplicity
- krisscofield, on 06/27/2008, -0/+2Ah, Micheal Keaton.
- TheAngryMob, on 06/27/2008, -1/+8And let us never speak of it again.
- cesclaveria, on 06/27/2008, -0/+2Jamie Madrox was on X3, it wasn't much of character, they just used him as a distraction and it was a bad guy.
- sterntastic223, on 06/27/2008, -2/+11multiplicity
- DrCrankenstein, on 06/26/2008, -1/+43Colossus (that glimpse in X-Men merely whetted my appetite for the adamantium man)
The whole Excalibur crew
Angel into Archangel would make a badass plot
Gambit (there were rumors of this happening, right?)
Oh, and they should TOTALLY do a Daredevil movie. I bet Ben Affleck would be good.- apothekari, on 06/27/2008, -1/+14Not Adamantium but "nigh invulnerable Organic Steel"
oops my dork is showing!- texpundit, on 06/27/2008, -2/+7PUT THAT THING AWAY!
- PhoenixAvatar2, on 06/27/2008, -14/+1I'm trying to figure out if you're being sarcastic or not. They did do a Daredevil movie with Ben Affleck. It sucked. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0287978/
And Gambit's going to be in the Wolverine movie: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0458525/- plimpton777, on 06/27/2008, -0/+11FAIL
- DrCrankenstein, on 06/27/2008, -0/+1ummmm yeah.
- bronowiczj, on 06/27/2008, -2/+2Affleck? Sorry how about Statham. EDIT: Someone said Ryan Reynolds is playing him in Wolverine:Origins. I like it.
I'm dying to see Gambit on the big screen. I know he comes from a generation of superheroes most comic book enthusiasts would like to forget, but seriously Mon'ami.- rpgguy1o1, on 06/27/2008, -1/+3first of all Statham is beyond horrible casting for Matt Murdock/Daredevil. secondly Reynolds is rumoured to be playing Deadpool in the Wolverine movie.
- laughandsing, on 06/27/2008, -0/+2I would love to see a Gambit movie. He has always been my favorite.
- ZenMojo, on 06/27/2008, -0/+2Dugg because no one realizes you were being sarcastic.
- DrCrankenstein, on 06/27/2008, -0/+1hahaha I know. I love it.
- apothekari, on 06/27/2008, -1/+14Not Adamantium but "nigh invulnerable Organic Steel"
- kitci, on 06/27/2008, -4/+4I'm such a fan of Marvel Heroes!
- coltrane68, on 06/27/2008, -0/+11It's hard to see most of those characters as leads for their own movies. Definitely, Nick Fury (with S.H.I.E.L.D.) would be awesome. But Hank Pym? Yawn. Domino? What's her game? Who would she fight?
By the way - no chance on a Baron Zemo (thankfully). He's a frickin' Nazi (I know - son of the original, but still part of that crew). No redemption stories for Nazis coming from Hollywood.- PhoenixAvatar2, on 06/27/2008, -1/+4Hank Pym has a lot of potential. He's one of the few superheroes with real flaws in his character. A common theme in the comics has been spousal abuse between him and the Wasp which is ripe for a bit of a different superhero movie, one that focuses more on the drama than action.
That said it has to be handled right. It's in production, Edgar Wright (Shawn of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) is directing so it has potential.- ssn697, on 06/27/2008, -0/+1Gotta have Hank Pym introduced prior to the Avengers movie...
- ZenMojo, on 06/27/2008, -0/+3Schindler's List?
- woody56292, on 06/27/2008, -0/+1i logged in just to digg you up. =D

- ibatman, on 06/27/2008, -2/+36Gambit was the man
- leerayIG88, on 06/27/2008, -0/+4was? is*
- alexkball, on 06/27/2008, -3/+4Gambit is retarded. A cajun who throws cards...wow.
- leerayIG88, on 06/27/2008, -1/+2*touches myself*
Kaablamoooo! - eengineer, on 06/27/2008, -0/+2Or fap*fap*fap* boom?

- Britney90210, on 06/27/2008, -0/+7No more Nick Fury movies or David Hasselhoff!
- iamronburgundy, on 06/27/2008, -6/+1I dunno about you guys, but Sam Jackson as Nick Fury isn't that much better. Not that I'm looking forward to any Nick Fury flick.
- bosssmiley, on 06/27/2008, -3/+29*barrel-scraping noises from over at Marvel*
- insanecee, on 06/27/2008, -0/+3so yeh there is quite a few marvel movies coming out
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marvel_Studios#Indepe ...
just keep a lookout it should be a good couple of years - bringmeupmusic, on 06/27/2008, -4/+2How about Phoenix? She's my favorite character of all.
- sterntastic223, on 06/27/2008, -1/+1Good one.
- Gojirra, on 06/27/2008, -0/+4She already appeared in the x-men movies for like 5 minutes and then got killed by wolverine.
- edwartica, on 06/27/2008, -0/+3A dark phoenix movie would be incredible. I think they kind of sort of tried to do that in X men 3, but it failed. Just like the rest of the film.
- mojoel, on 06/27/2008, -0/+2They did Phoenix and screwed it up. Remember X-Men 3?
- thawkth, on 06/27/2008, -1/+1I think lots of fans are hoping Marvel takes back a few of their characters. They didn't do very well with X-men et all.
Reboot? I might like that.
Probably confuse the average stupid viewer too much though.
The movies were missing so much...then we had Iron Man (which I expected to suck but actually really liked) which restored our hope.
Wonder what other heroes they can use? Come on, Marvel has plenty!
- thawkth, on 06/27/2008, -1/+1I think lots of fans are hoping Marvel takes back a few of their characters. They didn't do very well with X-men et all.
- dbldn, on 06/27/2008, -1/+2Quasar.
- BrapAllgood, on 06/27/2008, -1/+17Moon Knight.
- sterntastic223, on 06/27/2008, -1/+4Didn't he fight in the middle east too? Seems ripe for a film
- PaulRay, on 06/27/2008, -0/+2Ahhh!! I knew I wasn't alone!
Moon Knight had a 5 way multiple personality and they never really let you know if he'd developed powers during his "resurrection" or if he was just really nuts. Loved that series. Marvel's answer to Batman... Only crazier.- BrapAllgood, on 06/27/2008, -0/+1"Loved that series. Marvel's answer to Batman... Only crazier. "
You are definitely not alone. I am Marvel all over, but Batman was my first hero. Moon Knight definitely felt like the best of both worlds. I used to dig a lot of the artwork, too.
- BrapAllgood, on 06/27/2008, -0/+1"Loved that series. Marvel's answer to Batman... Only crazier. "
- Azathoth624, on 06/28/2008, -0/+1I would agree... but with a Moon Knight movie I think we'd just get the Punisher movie again, with supernatural themes, Powers, and a white costume...
- ironicsans, on 06/27/2008, -2/+10Damage Control!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Damage_Control_(comic ...- plimpton777, on 06/27/2008, -0/+6Nice.
And, lest we forget, Peter Porker, the Amazing Spider-Ham. - BCBender, on 06/27/2008, -0/+1Actually there is a possibility of doing a Damage Control movie dealing with the people who have to clean up their mess. Very metaphorical to today's gov't and such.
- plimpton777, on 06/27/2008, -0/+6Nice.
- jks139, on 06/27/2008, -3/+23Deadpool
Cable
Ant-Man
Baron Zemo
Hank Pym
Nick Fury
Domino
Venom
Black Panther
Multiple Man- petebot, on 06/27/2008, -1/+3I totally forgot about Cable. That would be awesome. And then have Bishop show up...
- kansai22, on 06/27/2008, -0/+1They were going to make Black Panther but Wisley Snipes is going to be occupied unless his appeals work out.
- digitallysick, on 06/27/2008, -0/+1Cable would be good, Gambit, and i would like to see Omega Red
- ZenMojo, on 06/27/2008, -0/+1"Multiple Man isn't a terribly interesting character in and of himself, and X-Factor isn't a great comic"
Buried for stupidity. Hell, while I'm at it:
"We've yet to have a superhero movie about a guy who knows the future, but is powerless to change it"
12 Monkeys? Donnie Darko? 75% of the time travel movies made in the last 15 years? Buried for ignorance.
Besides, Cable's one of the most damned boring characters in the X-universe despite his laughabl generic Liefeld badass origins.
"I will be perfectly frank: I want a Domino movie because she is the single hottest superheroine ever designed."
Domino. The most useless superheroine ever created. "I'm a time traveling mercenary with a big spot over my eye and luck powers...no, I'm not Longshot, I'm a chick."
Buried for lameness.
Ugh.
- wynja, on 06/27/2008, -4/+13Come on guys Dr. Strange would be amazing, and he deserves a movie over half the names on this list.
- VAXcat, on 06/27/2008, -1/+1 Dr. Strange already had a movie. TV movie in 1978, the pilot for a TV series that didn't get picked up. I liked it. Stan Lee didn't.
- wynja, on 06/27/2008, -0/+1There where a lot of superhero movies back in the day that didn't float.
- ScorpioDragon, on 06/27/2008, -0/+0Exactly. Fantastic Four and Captain America had movies back then.
- wynja, on 06/27/2008, -0/+1There where a lot of superhero movies back in the day that didn't float.
- VAXcat, on 06/27/2008, -1/+1 Dr. Strange already had a movie. TV movie in 1978, the pilot for a TV series that didn't get picked up. I liked it. Stan Lee didn't.
- magic6435, on 06/27/2008, -2/+25They already did Multiple Man.. his name was agent Smith.
- pyroglass, on 06/27/2008, -1/+3He was in X-Men 3
- NeoCortex, on 06/27/2008, -1/+8And let's not forget Multiplicity. It was like Multiple Man meets Batman.
- BrapAllgood, on 06/27/2008, -1/+3...in a cage made out of SUCK.
- BrapAllgood, on 06/27/2008, -1/+1And I should add that I *still* want my $4 back. Mumble, grumble, rassin, frussin....
- BrapAllgood, on 06/27/2008, -1/+3...in a cage made out of SUCK.
- over9k, on 06/27/2008, -1/+0Although not a marvel character, the adventures of "Instead Man" would be highly entertaining.
http://aycu10.webshots.com/image/46809/20048969332 ...- edwartica, on 06/27/2008, -0/+2How about Too much coffee man? Oh wait, he's already got his own opera!
- Cougnut415, on 06/27/2008, -0/+2Ok, really over9k, WHAT THE ***** was up with that comic. Really, wtf. I don't even think fail can describe that pile of *****.
- Albear89, on 06/27/2008, -1/+8Secret Wars would be ***** awsome
- zaxroom, on 06/27/2008, -3/+9Dugg for Deadpool.
- detroit123, on 06/27/2008, -3/+6Cable and Deadpool nuff said
- ZenMojo, on 06/27/2008, -0/+1What a horrible book, kind of like every book Cable's been the star in. Should have started with Deadpool and ended there.
- MagicSG1, on 06/27/2008, -1/+20Ryan Reynolds is playing Deadpool in the Wolverine:Origins movie
- mojoel, on 06/27/2008, -0/+2That might be cool!
- victimofkratina, on 06/27/2008, -1/+1he will be awesome. he definitely has the body.
http://www.drabbuh.com/chadsspace/images/misc/Ryan ...- SphinxatUF1, on 06/27/2008, -0/+0Dug for that pic being hot.
- JFallon126, on 06/27/2008, -2/+58Where. The. *****. Is. Gambit.
- Dchandaman, on 06/27/2008, -2/+2YES!
- LogicBomB, on 06/27/2008, -1/+23I don't get why there is no Gambit. Here's WHY I don't get it:
1. Everyone's been shouting his name since X-Men was first announced.
2. He's can be cast as a chick magnet. Handsom french-speaking man who is heavy into the lady-wooing? Getting girls to an otherwise guy-focused movie increases your $$$ quite a bit.
3. Variety. This is a guy who can turn pretty much everything into a bomb. Don't tell me the hollywood SFX guys wouldn't have a wet dream coming up with those effects.
4. Martial arts mixed in. The dude carries a bowstaff! Now you have a character that is throwing explosives in between kicking ass with a bow and wooing girls.
Quite frankly the exclusion of a Gambit movie confuses the ***** out of me... - GhostyBoy, on 06/27/2008, -0/+5He's one of the best characters with a really dark past, his relationship with Rogue is extremely interesting cuz she can't touch him...he's from the voodoo land of Louisiana, plus all the stuff LogicBomB just mentioned...How the ***** is this not a movie yet?!?
- ZenMojo, on 06/27/2008, -1/+3Have you read the Gambit series? It was a turd. Hell, everything about Gambit since he came back from Antarctica has been horrible. You'd have to go back over 10 years for a good Gambit character.
- victimofkratina, on 06/27/2008, -0/+2they already have the guy.

in the new wolverine movie.
- mx13punk, on 06/27/2008, -1/+3Runaways. Script written by Vaughan.
- leopardflames, on 06/27/2008, -0/+1i read that for a short bit of time and then the story got really dry and boring...
- MoralThreat, on 06/27/2008, -0/+10Dear god that background.....
- Equinox2012, on 06/27/2008, -2/+3Purple Man!
- SaladCactusKing, on 06/27/2008, -0/+1The Superpowered Sex Offender. Very marketable.
- Equinox2012, on 06/28/2008, -0/+1But the think of the merchandising!
- SaladCactusKing, on 06/27/2008, -0/+1The Superpowered Sex Offender. Very marketable.
- zomgwtfninjabbq, on 06/27/2008, -5/+3honestly with the exception of cable, nick fury (already in the works) and Venom that list was not great... there are so many other characters that are waaaaay cooler that need there due first like green lantern, captain america (needs a remake) ,adam warlock and the battle with thanos, Apocalypse,i could keep going but i think they should have thought the list over more i mean those characters are lame in comparison to what is out there.
- adjustafresh, on 06/27/2008, -1/+4The list was Marvel characters specifically. Green Lantern, for example is a DC character. There have been Green Lantern scripts floating around for at least 5 years.
- themindoverall, on 06/27/2008, -0/+8Jesus, did you just say green lantern in a discussion about Marvel superhoes who deserve a movie?
Have mercy... - rpgguy1o1, on 06/27/2008, -0/+5there's a cap movie in the works
- KillsTheWeak, on 06/27/2008, -1/+1Agreed the list sucks :P Outside of Venom, seems like the author just picked some obscure Heroes that barely anyone knows about. Surprised Ms Marvel, or the Power Pack didn't make the list :P
- seattlephantom, on 06/27/2008, -1/+6Cloak and Dagger!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloak_and_Dagger_(com ...- ghrayfahx, on 06/27/2008, -0/+2YES! I used to love those two. I actually kind of hope they use the same origin, (drug use) but I hope they make it a bit less corny and preachy. One of the things I always loved about Marvel over DC was the "Edgy" stuff, and the massive character flaws. Drunks, druggies, people who were completely bat ***** crazy. It made the characters more relatable then "Rich guy who's mad cos his folks got killed" or "Space man who for some reason gets stronger from our sun, when it just give us cancer."
- ScorpioDragon, on 06/27/2008, -0/+0That actually wouldn't be a bad idea.
- krisscofield, on 06/27/2008, -3/+1If they made a Cable movie, they would really have to work on it. I don't think the story of Cable could be told in one sitting. It would be awesome to see a movie adaptation of the first few X-Force issues, where they teamed up with Spidey against Juggernaut and Black Tom.
- alexkball, on 06/27/2008, -1/+5I don't think I would see any of those movies.
- mrogi, on 06/27/2008, -1/+4Dr. Strange absolutely deserves a major movie. The special effects would have to be state-of-the-art and directed by the only man who could do it justice; James Cameron

- markmckay, on 06/27/2008, -1/+2hahahaha... now that I'd like to see!
- shanealeslie, on 06/27/2008, -1/+3That would be awesome! My casting...
Mr I - Owen Wilson
Big Bertha - The most recent winner of any 'model' reality show
Flatman - Ben Afleck
Doorman - David Schwimmer
Dinah Soar - Totally CGI
Squirrel Girl - Natalie Portman
Leather Boy - The Rock
Gravitron - Malcom McDowell
Directed by Tim Burton
from a screenplay by
J.J. Abrams, Josh Whedon and Scott Sigler
Yeah, that's it, that's the ticket.... :P- bainfu, on 06/27/2008, -0/+3I love this paragraph about Squirrel Girl in her Wiki article:
Following her defeat of Dr. Doom, an ongoing joke depicts Squirrel Girl repeatedly attaining victory over various villains, some of whom are considerably more powerful than she is. Typically, these victories occur off-panel, though some, like her battle with Deadpool, are fully shown. Deadpool, having been bested by her twice, considers Squirrel Girl to be one of the major powers of the Marvel Universe, comparing her to Iron Man and Thor. - ZenMojo, on 06/27/2008, -1/+1Doorman's black.
- bainfu, on 06/27/2008, -0/+3I love this paragraph about Squirrel Girl in her Wiki article:
- briansearles, on 06/27/2008, -6/+5No Captain America? FAIL.
- PhoenixAvatar2, on 06/27/2008, -2/+8He's already getting a movie.
- bainfu, on 06/27/2008, -0/+2So is Ant-Man and I heard it's coming out before the Cappie movie.
- Memitim, on 06/27/2008, -0/+1Yeah. Supposedly Cap is going to be the intro to the actual Avengers flick.
- ShitStainedBall, on 06/27/2008, -0/+2CA already has a movie. Its old school but still has been done.
- cesclaveria, on 06/27/2008, -0/+1look for: Captain America: The First Avenger is coming out in 2011
- herschman321, on 06/27/2008, -0/+0owned
- PhoenixAvatar2, on 06/27/2008, -2/+8He's already getting a movie.
- Spartyon, on 06/27/2008, -7/+5i know im not the only one who stopped reading at ***** ant-man.
- markmckay, on 06/27/2008, -2/+2no, not the only one.
- Rudegar, on 06/27/2008, -0/+0guess he's hung like a hhmmm
- cesclaveria, on 06/27/2008, -0/+3the last ant-man comics were great, some of the best stuff that no one read.
Come on, this little guy went against the Hulk and lived to tell it. - kleptomaniac, on 06/27/2008, -1/+2Too bad it's already in the works then, eh?
- supermanred, on 06/28/2008, -1/+1It's going to be a great movie. And yes, it's already in the works at Marvel. All the Avengers, including Thor and I believe they are going to be throwing in Spider-Man, who was a West Coast Avenger (I believe)...
The Avengers will be the highest grossing movie of all time.
- Kinnkster, on 06/27/2008, -13/+2Ant man is probably just a rip off spiderman.
both bugs, both superheros...i mean come on. - porkdanish, on 06/27/2008, -0/+3With CGI where it is today -- Cerebus the Aardvark would be totally do-able. As long as it's based on the early comics -- pre Church & State
- Roninsfx, on 06/27/2008, -0/+1Nick Fury, the way Jim Steranko (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Steranko) used to draw him. Or when they finish building a library of the Marvel Universe characters, Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet.
- alexkball, on 06/27/2008, -0/+6They should just make a better Spawn movie. It's a shame the original was made before this comic-movie frenzy and they didn't have enough money to make it great.
- blacksteve0, on 06/27/2008, -1/+3That movie was only hindered by lack of budget. I would love to see that movie get a reset, just like Hulk got.
- palewook, on 06/27/2008, -0/+6I'd settle for a Garth Ennis Punisher.
- BananaGrabber, on 06/27/2008, -0/+1The new punisher movie was supposed to based a bit on Max but I doubt it ended up like that. Would still love an adaption of the Mother Russia.
- bronowiczj, on 06/27/2008, -1/+1Alright I know this about MARVEL superheroes, but I love to see a few Images c-books turned into flicks...
How about PRIME or BRIGADE.... - plimpton777, on 06/27/2008, -0/+15Boom Boom and Kitty Pryde in a soft-porn flick.
- Dipster, on 06/27/2008, -1/+7Howard the Du--- oh wait. They did that one... :-D
- SolidBones, on 06/27/2008, -2/+2Dugg for Domino and her "dog named spot" face pattern.
- pitchblack16, on 06/27/2008, -2/+4i think cable would be great, imagine the possiblities with that one, loads of x-men, apocalypse and his four horsemen, that would just be awesome
- thawkth, on 06/27/2008, -1/+1I agree. Let's try to recapture the epic feel of comic books in a movie, shall we?
Make it good enough and many of us would probably go TWICE.
Make it epic. Make it bigger. Make it cool. Please?
- thawkth, on 06/27/2008, -1/+1I agree. Let's try to recapture the epic feel of comic books in a movie, shall we?
- TajesMahoney, on 06/27/2008, -1/+6buried for saying x-factor isn't a good book
- sterntastic223, on 06/27/2008, -2/+1Big jon bogdanove fan?
- Dchandaman, on 06/27/2008, -1/+3not the best list in the world, but some are completely agreeable like the cable and nick fury movie would be pretty bad ass
