- Ruckgesicht, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Too bad it's a Dell :P
Looks incredible though. Just wish it was an NEC; then I'd immediatly go out and but it to be sure. - NyQuil, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You only get that deal if you follow that link, I found this out the other day when looking for the moniter on their site.. It is listed as 700 bucks X_x!
- Homeboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I have this monitor. It is awesome. Great price for a great monitor.
- MrHeffe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It says: "To optimize this monitor's performance, your system must be able to support WSXGA+ resolution (1680 x 1050)" - Does this mean that it won't look as good on standard vid cards or that it just won't display to that maximum resolution without the correct card..?
- animate, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I know I'll catch hell for this but, here is something interesting...

Yes I know ......but it caught my eye for a moment. - cheeseonstuf, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0ANIMATE:
Dude! The thing has an 800x600 resolution! Streaming porn has a higher resolution than that. HAHA...your eye will never get that moment back. - animate, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Eeeaah Sorry ! I missed that !.....Nice come back though !!
- blijack, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0i also have this monitor - it's bomb
- jmccorm, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0FWIW, I'm currently surfing the web with a wide-screen Sun monitor (Sony rebranded) 24" CRT. I am running at 1920x1200 resolution at the moment. The video card will pump me up to 2048x1536, but then that loses the wide screen aspect ratio. Let me tell you, the real-estate is nice. NIIIICCEEE.
- jmccorm, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I used Powerstrip to do some resolution tweaking. I had to drop it down to 60hz refresh, but I'm now crusing at 2456x1536 resolution, 32 bit color. OMG. MY EYES ARE BLEEDING. MAKE IT STOP!!! [Try THAT with your LCD!]
- mrivorey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Just bought mine!!!
- phore, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0ive had one for a month now... well worth the money. Half life 2 on this monitor looks so awesome.
- markyello, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Not really into dell... can someone convince me?
- markyello, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Also never had widescreen....
- MrHeffe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm nevrous that it wonlt work very well with my existing video card and then I'll have to go spend more money to upgrade that.....but the 12ms refresh rate makes me drool!!
- SirWells, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I have an ATI Radeon 9700. My resoultions go up pretty high, up to 2048 x 1536... Will I be able to have the resoultion go to the 1680 x 1050? For this price I'm really considering upgrading the 17 inch flatscreen from Dell...
- jhillestad, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Well DUDE (pun intended) you better hurray because this deal ends on 2/10 .
I ordered one on Monday , should be here on Thurs. paid $605 with tax and freight....
Most modern cards with a dvi connector should handle that resolution... My Geforce 4400ti can drive my mac 23" cinema display which has a higher res... - jhillestad, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0just to followup , received monitor and can say WELL WORTH IT !
The screen is flawless. The screen also pivots 90 degrees talk about the fun in surfing the web with a 1050x1680 screen, you can see the whole web page without or barely needing to scroll !
This thing also has svideo in , hooked a dvd player to it nice 16x9 playback with pip.
The deal is over but if it returns and your on the cusp , its worth it. sweet monitor. - highflier, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Got the Dell monitor today - but not the one I ordered. Ordered the 2005FPW and received the 2001FP. Not a bad monitor. but not the one I ordered. Sending it back. Have to wonder.
- highflier, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0In case anybody's interested, they can get this model for $499 at
http://www.saveateagle.com/de20in20ul20.html?ovchn=OTHER&ovcpn=Price+Watch&ovcrn=2001FP&ovtac=CMP - siestaguy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Make sure you get the right monitor. I ordered this and received a 1905FP instead. Now I have to deal with exchanging it.
- runloganrun, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Just purchased the F2005PW. Great monitor. Love the USB ports on the side. As of today (030105), it's $561.75 with free shipping. With tax, that comes to $613.29. I found a $55 off coupon for purchases over $475 that brought the pre-tax total to $506.75. Search "Dell coupons" and I'm sure you'll find them. The monitor highflier mentioned is the 20" 4:3 2001FP and it's also a refurb. Not a big fan of refurbs, but still a good deal I suppose. Also, the monitor animate (on 020705) mentioned is actually an LCD TV. That's why the res is so low. Just a little FYI.
cheers - runloganrun, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0err...uh...that should be 2005FPW, if it matters.
