Amazing 3D Animated gif

ukimagehost.com — I know everyone hates the word 'amazing'.......but for a gif, this is pretty amazing!

  • weirdralph, on 10/10/2007, -6/+14Pretty cool... although I'd have liked to have seen it a little slower. I suspect there are enough frames in the pic that it'd still stay pretty smooth if you slowed it down to about 1/4 speed.

      • daybreaker, on 10/10/2007, -4/+3Yeah, I've seen that optical illusion before, usually with just 2 frames. But the high speed is the key to create the effect.

    • geartype2, on 10/10/2007, -3/+3I thought of this as well. I mean, at first I thought it wouldn't be too hard in any 3d graphics program to simulate something like this. But on closer inspection I noticed that it really does trick the eye into perceived depth, similar to a magic eye.
