First Digg Images Visualization
digg.fotoflexer.com — FotoFlexer today released the first Digg Images visualization named Digg.Fotoflexer. It allows editing and digging of photos. Fullscreen support, too.
- 551 diggs
- digg it
- gansos, on 12/11/2007, -2/+54Just FYI, the images are a little blurry because the Digg API only supports small thumbnails. As soon as Digg supports full-size images, FotoFlexer will fix this issue.
- sbwms, on 12/11/2007, -2/+22The Digg API supports a "size" argument that'll let you request larger thumbnails. See "size" under "Arguments":
http://apidoc.digg.com/ListStories#Arguments- pault107, on 12/11/2007, -0/+1This app is only showing the thumbnails that are stored on the Digg servers. The max is 160x160. There is currently no way of retrieving the path to the original, full size, images.
- mrASSMAN, on 12/11/2007, -1/+15This will be genuinely cool once that's fixed.. right now it's too blurry to be useful.
- pault107, on 12/11/2007, -0/+1Also, check out...

- gansos, on 12/11/2007, -2/+14Thanks sbwms. We're already requesting the largest thumb, though.
- seanalltogether, on 12/11/2007, -5/+2Then your implementation is flawed. You don't set up a rafting company on a stream
- ggbs, on 12/11/2007, -0/+3there's this function called "Reply", you should explore it sometime
- newbert, on 12/11/2007, -3/+4Sweet.
- designfarts, on 12/11/2007, -2/+2Really cool idea.
- joliver18, on 12/11/2007, -1/+2Awesome, love the design!
- SuperJason, on 12/11/2007, -4/+2Was this done with Adobe Flex?
- sarcasmo2k5, on 12/11/2007, -3/+5I didn't realize it was going to be blurry. I clicked on a picture of boobs and was twarted...
- imbob, on 12/11/2007, -10/+3WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!
- brizznady, on 12/11/2007, -1/+7A REALLY DUMB KID MAKING A COMMENT
- ayeroxor, on 12/11/2007, -0/+1Correct. The brizznady team gets 5 points and takes the lead.
- brizznady, on 12/11/2007, -1/+7A REALLY DUMB KID MAKING A COMMENT
- slashbot, on 12/11/2007, -4/+14Wow that was boring...
- Emused, on 12/11/2007, -5/+3That was one of the coolest ways I've (personally) seen to present so many images from the new Digg category, thanks for the post !
- AndrewDB, on 01/10/2008, -3/+2It'd be pretty cool if you could use the Digg Api with this and make the images come down like space invaders and then you could shoot them.
- zzz@tkz, on 12/11/2007, -2/+2:|
- DeFex, on 12/11/2007, -0/+7this is going to be very bad. you think lolcats is stupid.
- Carsonauto, on 12/11/2007, -0/+1I think lolcats [are] kinda funny actually.
- SkitchBeatz, on 12/11/2007, -2/+9how is this popular if its not working yet?
- Haiz, on 12/11/2007, -2/+1That is so kickass. But it doesn't work completely yet. Nice "intro", though.
- joeycerone, on 12/11/2007, -2/+1post this again once it supports full size images, until then its useless.
- legendxx, on 12/11/2007, -2/+3pretty worthless with only thumbnails
- speedyb166, on 12/11/2007, -2/+1so...dangerously...addicting
- ayeroxor, on 12/11/2007, -0/+2addictIVE, you twit.
- ayeroxor, on 12/11/2007, -0/+3The day Digg gets a picture section so soccer moms can show us funny puppydoggies and 13-year-olds can show us TOTALLY AWESOME CAR WRECKS YO! is the day Digg jumps the shark.
- Dquist, on 12/11/2007, -0/+5find a way to make the speed of the images user-controlled.
- Norbipot, on 12/11/2007, -0/+1Great Idea! I love the design and it's such a great way to show the Digg images in a visually attractive way! Good job!
- googletravel, on 12/11/2007, -0/+1awesome! i love it.
- wilhel1812, on 12/11/2007, -0/+2screensaver? anyone?
- Sumyunguy, on 12/11/2007, -0/+6tooooooo sloooooooow
- daxz, on 12/11/2007, -0/+4someone please explain why should i want to edit an image i find on digg?
and it looks horrible with opera. - MacGuy88, on 12/11/2007, -0/+1I think it's pretty cool, even if it is just a sample of things to come. It would be really cool if they could somehow incorporate an RSS feed into it so you can use that as your screensaver or something.
- Zlatty, on 12/11/2007, -0/+3its cute but it wont load in FF and crashed FF if its loaded in IE tab :(
- StephenBrown, on 12/11/2007, -0/+1I get the same problem... I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.11 on Ubuntu Gutsy, and it only loads to 97% then stops.
- pault107, on 12/11/2007, -0/+1XP/FF 2.0.0.11 - stalls at 98%, works fine in an FF IE tab.
Saying that, I don't really see the point of this, apart from a proof of concept.
- bennidub, on 12/12/2007, -0/+0Sucks that the digg API doesn't support large images.
- IIIKrazyKiDDIII, on 12/12/2007, -0/+1If the scrolling images were representative of live digging, then this site would be interesting.
- rockstarkate, on 12/13/2007, -0/+0Much, much faster please.
- lolo2007, on 01/29/2008, -0/+0
