robertbruno.com — It's like ... what Mad Max and The Jetsons would build if they got together and went insane. This is clearly a labor of love.

- bingobongony, on 10/18/2007, -0/+7See you in 2035!
- saggygrandma, on 10/18/2007, -0/+2Cool show us what it looks like when you finish it..... IN 28 YEARS!
- suxmonkey, on 10/19/2007, -0/+21Forgot to mention: this sucker weighs 110 tons and was built mostly by hand with simple welding tools.
- Animental, on 10/31/2007, -5/+0Am I the only one who sees a Bespin cloud car?
- dracostimpy, on 10/18/2007, -10/+2What an amazingly useless "house"... it's more of a walk-through sculpture that just happens to resemble a car-shaped house.
- metapop, on 10/18/2007, -4/+8i honestly doubt he cares what you think. he's obviously happy with it and proud of it... you know what? enjoy living in your beige carpet/white walled 2 bed/1 bath for the rest of your life.
also, go eat feces.

- RayDude, on 10/19/2007, -0/+16So when is he going to order the 16,000 gallons of Rustoleum to make it some other color?
- ulterior, on 10/18/2007, -0/+1Why make it some other color?
- RealSurreal, on 10/18/2007, -0/+4Goddamn Amazing work of Art!
- Smight, on 10/18/2007, -0/+6Man I can't imagine ever getting the permits for that house approved today.
Beautiful. - whatthefu, on 10/18/2007, -0/+1First a cruise ship and now this. Digg sure is inspiring me today.
- realunderdog, on 10/18/2007, -0/+2Wow
- Rossoneri22, on 10/18/2007, -1/+4Is it supposed to be rusted?
- ChromaVita, on 10/18/2007, -0/+3I bet it gets pretty hot...
- mrogi, on 10/18/2007, -6/+3This house is a life lesson: Just because something CAN be done dont mean it SHOULD be done.
- bingobongony, on 10/18/2007, -0/+2Now why would Mad Max and George Jetson ever get together?
- zybch, on 10/18/2007, -0/+1Didn't you hear, Max is a 'catcher' and George is a 'Power Top'!
- Sautechef, on 10/18/2007, -0/+5To all guests: Please sign the form stating that you have received a tetanus shot within the last 5 years before entering the house.
- metateck, on 10/18/2007, -0/+2It probably sucks ass in the winter unless he found some crazy insulation and stuffed the steel with it...
- khil, on 10/18/2007, -1/+2" kids!! don't run in the house!! "
- coredump0x01, on 10/18/2007, -0/+2Put a jacket lined with neodymium magnets on them, Then just stick them to the walls.
- RobSaint, on 10/18/2007, -0/+6hmmmm... so do steel conduct electricity? I'm wondering what would happen to the occupants should lightning strike that home.
- NSResponder, on 10/19/2007, -2/+3The best place to be when lighting strikes is inside a faraday cage. A steel-clad building would be ideal.

- cbdgr, on 10/18/2007, -0/+5did we digg effect a yahoo page?
- captainserial, on 10/18/2007, -0/+1yes
- Identity4, on 10/18/2007, -0/+1damn....we kick ass!
- zoom1928, on 10/18/2007, -0/+1Yes, but that isn't impressive. If you have a good connection, you can kill their crappy hosting with a single copy of Apache Bench(ab). We found a script kiddie that was killing our yahoo site simply with this command "ab -c 50 -n 50000000 http://www.pooryahoocustomer.com/" The server would lock-up hard requiring us to spend several hours on the phone with Yahoo to get them to reset their server. All of the customer sites on the server would be down until the reset. Yahoo is a joke.
Since then we switched to the cheapest DreamHost web hosting, and we haven't had a problem with the load.
- MacDaddyMac530, on 10/18/2007, -0/+2What an amazing structure. Props to him for sticking with it for so long. DUGGG!
- macwac, on 10/18/2007, -0/+1Some people got a lot of time and a lot of money.. wish i had the free time for that
- everfalling, on 10/18/2007, -0/+2i wanna know how much all that steel has ended up costing him, and how you even begin to start something like that. sure, adding on doesn't seem too hard, but where to begin in the first place?
i wonder what he plans to do should it rain. seems he put it in a desert, or somewhere with low rainfall. but still, that thing is gonna rust like a mofo.- DirtySnachez, on 10/18/2007, -2/+1You can learn by studying (shockingly enough...) construction and engineering. OMG, who would have thought ?
- ulterior, on 10/18/2007, -0/+1if you watch the video he said it was all recycled, so the cost wasnt too much. its all rusted anyway, rainfall doesnt matter so much
- DirtySnachez, on 10/18/2007, -7/+2Why ?
- skanlessflipboy, on 10/18/2007, -0/+2because we can
- DirtySnachez, on 10/18/2007, -12/+1Why ?
- digit0, on 10/18/2007, -1/+0I must be getting old but all I could think off was "Tetanus shot!"
- Jimbob200, on 10/18/2007, -0/+2Ironically, his website intro has the phrase "think outside the box" within the box.
- probrian, on 10/18/2007, -0/+0no mirror?

- coredump0x01, on 10/18/2007, -0/+2Damn, I need a tetanus shot just from looking at those pics.
- gregstrander, on 10/18/2007, -0/+0The inside looks like a set from Star Wars.
- Jerk, on 10/18/2007, -0/+1Why does it resemble a GM car from the 50's?
- mos6507, on 10/18/2007, -0/+1Looks like it's ready for global warming-induced flooding.
