Wonder Woman, Your Car Is Ready: Full-Size Wireframe Subaru WRX Sculpture
news.windingroad.com — This isn't an optical illusion or a computer-generated outline of a Subaru, it's an actual 1:1 sculpture by a British artist, and it looks like what you'd imagine Wonder Woman's car to be. Incredible pictures!

- JaXaL, on 10/12/2007, -3/+23So whats the 0-60 on that baby?

- black|math, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13"So whats the 0-60 on that baby?"
With a parachute and 80 mph wind? Pretty nice. - solemnraven, on 10/12/2007, -32/+5I'm sorry, but i never really imagined an old skool WrX being a girl car,
but i swear to god i'd marry the first WRX tuner girl i meet.
EDIT:
And for the above idiots, it's a Subaru it's not about straight line performance, it's about taking icy/wet/gravel turns at speed. losers. - Philodox, on 10/12/2007, -1/+31"So whats the 0-60 on that baby?"
However long it takes you to run 60mph with that thing strapped to you. - Mootabolife, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4If you compressed it into a ball and threw it...
- panique, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11Reminds me of a Jackie the Joke Man joke:
Superman says to Batman, "hey the other day, I was flying by Wonder Woman's place, and she was out on the roof laying out in the sun -- butt naked". Batman says "so what did you do?". "Well, I flew down there, whipped it out, and mounted her, heh heh". Batman says "so, was she surprised?". "Not half as suprised as The Invisible Man" - DrDabbles, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2@solemnraven: Maybe you should be trolling NASIOC instead of DIGG then. Just a thought.
- corvairkid, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1"So whats the 0-60 on that baby?"
Depends on how fast the flatdeck can tow it away.
The real WRX STi actually accelerates and does the 1/4 mile faster than a '70 Chevelle LS6 454. I love muscle cars but even I had raised eyebrows on that one.
- dominasian, on 10/12/2007, -2/+70∞
- klawz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I was thinking more or less Automan' car: http://images.google.com/images?client=safari&rls=en&q=automan%20car&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&um=1&sa=N&tab=wi
- sanman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Much better animated:

- copcorocket, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1hmm...i think replaceing ms. marilyn with anna nicole's mug would be way more hip...
- D3koy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+38Am I the only one who would leave that in a parking space and not fill the meter with change just to see what cops would do?
- DarthSupero, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17"Apparently local traffic cops weren’t pleased that the art was parked outside of the gallery on the street, as over the course of a few days, it was issued a few parking tickets!"
Give you a parking ticket, I guess.
Neat representation of a car, though. Very slick. - sulaco, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14It would be interesting to know how the local parking laws define "vehicle". How can they issue a ticket without a license plate or registered owner?
- ModernGeek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Maybe they just wrote the tickets for fun. At most, they'd have it towed or maybe thrown out.
- Dumbledorito, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11Were I the cop, I would have made a copy of the ticket on acetate transparency and left it on the car.
- hybridcreation, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Giving a wire frame car a ticket??? Seriously...that's got to be one of the stupidest things I've ever heard. Get a life, lame ass traffic cops.
- DarthSupero, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17"Apparently local traffic cops weren’t pleased that the art was parked outside of the gallery on the street, as over the course of a few days, it was issued a few parking tickets!"
- PoopyMcCrapper, on 10/12/2007, -9/+1I've seen a better view of a car inside out. View this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75B6sBFJL7E .
- nasium, on 10/12/2007, -19/+3What is sooo cool about this? Wonder how this even made it to the homepage!?!
- adc86, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You know, if every story containing a comment querying the possibility of said story to reach the front page were deleted, analogies could be formed relating Digg's story content to the amount of a life you posses.
Have a good day.

- imightbewrong, on 10/12/2007, -4/+10Impreza GC8 FTW!!!
- XdigitalXdeathX, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Wow that's trippy.
- idc5, on 10/12/2007, -0/+20looks straight out of AUTOCAD or 3d studio max
cool, original piece of art - masterofNone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15they need to park one of those in front of Pixar.

http://www.clubwrx.net - Pottersquash, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Its stuff like this that makes you realize just how much "Invisible Airplane" sucked as a method of transportation
- frankySD, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0in my garage stay whatever....
- antdude, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I want to see Wonder Woman or someone drive it!
- halofourteen, on 10/12/2007, -4/+29Dugg because it's a Subaru.
- ricksite, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6All-wheel drive FTW!
- lyphstylz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2from the wheels that slip to the wheels that grip ;) i heart my GT
- Romero3160, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14Dugg also because its a GC8 Subaru
- mikeruiz7, on 10/12/2007, -8/+1makes me wish they did this with a better car
- Xinareiaz, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2In front of a Johnny B Goods in my town there is a wire frame Cadillac.
- PJ88, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2It's cool but the shadows have all been airbrushed out making it have a much greater illusionistic look.
- HardwareWeenie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1There are actually shadows, they are from the flash on the camera, you have to zoom in close to see them.
- Edkim, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2This one time I was riding my bicycle. Out of nowhere, a man dressed in a tuxedo jumped out and knocked me over. When I got back up he was running away from me, probably to avoid any more conflict. In moments like those I usually think to myself "Should I be more careful when riding my bike?"
- mikeruiz7, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Damn, he even got the YOKOHAMA on the tire. That's pretty damn cool.
- axisds, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Totally badass! 1:1 and trippy as hell to look at. Nice details too!
- mikeruiz7, on 10/12/2007, -10/+1@solemnraven
if you still think WRX are good rally cars you're delusional. - chuckpenzone, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10Dude where's my car?
- monkeymagik, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2doesn't change the fact that wonder woman has the crappest super hero vehicle of them all... all invisible apart her ftw!
- KickyG, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2subaru's for the win. there lez-mobiles. awesome..
- heavyarmscustom, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0The WRX might not be a good rally car but the STi is!
- JoeCotellese, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3Anyone remember Automan?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automan- bigmat, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1thanks for reminding me of Automan, a series I loved when I was growing up but had forgotten the name of until now!
- Dumbledorito, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14Dude, that guy's graphics card can't handle sh*t.
- CedEx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Imagine crashing into it and trying to explain to your insurance.
"I swear, I didn't see it!" - akinnee, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2that looks pretty fake. cool though.
- panique, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1I'll second that. The first two look like bad photoshops. The last one, if shown by itself, may have been almost believable.
- panique, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1I'll second that. The first two look like bad photoshops. The last one, if shown by itself, may have been almost believable.
- stevenem, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1awesome. where can i get one.
- cbergeron, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1Any guy on here worth his salt knows that no woman (particularly one with the name "Wonder Woman") would pick a Subaru WRX. She'd be more likely seen sluting around in a Porsche Boxster (yes that's a chick car, and any guy straight who drives one should get punched in the nuts), a Hummer, a Lexus SC430 or a BMW Z4.
Of them, the Z4 (or the Lexus) is the only one I would ever drive; and that would only be if it was my girlfriend's car. - DrDabbles, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1It's not a WRX. I own an STi. This IS an Impreza, but calling it a WRX is like calling every Acura an Integra.
- Romero3160, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8yea across the pond in europe and japan they did offer the the GC8 as a WRX AND and STi
Every subie owner knows that - tatical, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5As a Scooby owner myself, I find it hard to believe that a STi owner doesn't know what the original WRX/STi looked like (or how it kicked ass).
The original WRX looked like these...

Every single one huh? Guaranteed?

http://www.ralestateurl.net - SuperNintendo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2That must have been so unreal to see in person. I'm glad they got such good pictures of it.
~ SuperNintendo @ nasioc  - jgoodman22, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Throw some D's on that.
- mannbearpigg, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0What's the point? There's no seats or steering wheel or engine for that matter...
- nonconformist, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Looks fake. Where are the shadows?
- profOblivion, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Check the daylight picture. There are shadows by the wheels as well as the sides. As far as why there's no shadows on the night pictures, my guess is that the flashbulb caused the shadows to be directly behind each line.
- UnFriendlyFire, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1I don't believe it. It is too well lit to be on a dark street. The cars in the back ground are almost black in the shadows. Also I can't see where the wheels are attached to the rest of the car and some of the lines just fade in to nothingness.
- theonesteve, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I can see how it would be easy to crash into the thing. You're going to park your Enormovan on a snowy day and BAM! you crush the wireframe Subaru.
- srodolff, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1hmmmm.........
Make collapsible......add motion detector with alarm.........
Perfect parking place holder.......
Now all I need to do is patent this...........oh wait. - barbe66, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0car hire - http://www.carhire.cz
