- fulibs, on 11/06/2007, -0/+10its a pick gun.
- Haohmaru, on 11/06/2007, -0/+13A pick gun apparently.

50 Bucks!- glynng, on 11/06/2007, -0/+0Correct! It's an EZ snap lock pick gun. It's much easier and faster for most people to use than "regular" lock picks like these: http://www.lockpickshop.com/MPXS-14.html
- PRlME, on 11/07/2007, -2/+24I can pick my nose
- MikeWanDo, on 11/13/2007, -0/+6But can you pick 8 noses in under 80 seconds?
- weeeezzll, on 11/05/2007, -0/+2Pretty neat, but it's awfully loud...
- nunofgs, on 11/05/2007, -0/+2Only if you're going to rob a house with it!
- p3ngwin, on 11/05/2007, -0/+1it is effectively a semi-automated "bump" lock picker. the other thing the guy in the video uses is simply bent metal slither to "turn" the lock and put pressure so that when the pins are "bumped" then he can have the lock turn immediately.
- LGod, on 11/06/2007, -0/+3The "bent metal slither", is called a torque wrench.
- m4csrgh3yk3v, on 11/06/2007, -0/+1A fun killer
- mc7winkie, on 11/08/2007, -0/+1People talk about locks being ineffective security devices which is partially true since a lock is only meant to keep honest people honest.
- zyl0x, on 11/06/2007, -17/+1I don't secure my valuables with a padlock, I use a real lock or a safe. So.. pick away.
- LaueOfficer, on 11/06/2007, -3/+4you are an idiot sir.
- zyl0x, on 11/06/2007, -6/+1And what do you use? I use deadbolts and combo locks. Have fun using some flimsy, electronic picking device on those.
- gmiley, on 11/05/2007, -0/+1Deadbolts are a real pain in the ass to pick. You need a stronger tension wrench, and even then they are still harder to pick.
- Rockmaninoff, on 11/07/2007, -1/+3Last I checked most combo locks still have some sort of a master key that can be picked. And deadbolts? If you're not using a key to open them htf are you getting to your valuables?
- Mothrog, on 11/06/2007, -1/+1"Last I checked most combo locks still have some sort of a master key that can be picked."
You don't know what the ***** you're talking about.
- Mothrog, on 11/06/2007, -1/+1"Last I checked most combo locks still have some sort of a master key that can be picked."
- LeRenard, on 11/06/2007, -1/+0Combo locks == epic fail. They can be p0wned with a beer can. Deadbolts can be a bit of a bitch, but not unpickable.
- zyl0x, on 11/06/2007, -6/+1And what do you use? I use deadbolts and combo locks. Have fun using some flimsy, electronic picking device on those.
- Haohmaru, on 11/06/2007, -1/+10How do you lock your house doors? He raked a door lock in there.
- zyl0x, on 11/06/2007, -10/+1You can't pick a deadbolt.
- FyberOptic, on 11/06/2007, -0/+9There's very few locks that can't be picked. Even deadbolts, as long as they have a keyhole.
- scrimaxinc, on 11/06/2007, -0/+6I know of a bump key that would disagree with you.
- weeeezzll, on 11/06/2007, -0/+5You keep on believing that! lol
http://www.lockpicking101.com/ - gmiley, on 11/06/2007, -0/+4They can most certainly be picked, they are a bit more difficult, but definitely doable.
- Haohmaru, on 11/06/2007, -0/+2The only advantage to a dead-bolt is that you can't just bust the window and turn the lock.
- letdowntourist, on 11/06/2007, -0/+5I can kick in your deadbolt.
- plague, on 11/06/2007, -0/+2I picked the deadbolt on my apartment the first time I tried, within a few minutes. I'm not even that good. Once you successfully pick some locks, you'll realize how insecure they really are.

- LaueOfficer, on 11/06/2007, -3/+4you are an idiot sir.
- sesstreets, on 11/06/2007, -1/+12That I believe is called a pick gun. It pushes up the pins so that when you turn the cylinder the pins get stuck up in the lock and you can rotate the cylinder.
- gmiley, on 11/06/2007, -0/+7Yeah, not very impressive at all, a regular lock-pick set would have been a lot better. I taught myself how to pick locks with a standard lock-pick set. It really isn't all that hard, it just takes a lot of patience and practice.
- Charlotte_Web, on 11/10/2007, -0/+4I wasn't thinking how impressive it was, I was thinking how useless the locks on my front door were.
Looks like any kid with no lockpicking skill could defeat my front door locks in a matter of seconds.- manitoba98xp, on 11/05/2007, -0/+1So you have a security system within, and live near other people who might notice some kids walking out of your house with a TV in tow.
- Charlotte_Web, on 11/05/2007, -0/+1Well, as the security guy on TV says, No one security measure is effective enough; but each security measure that you add (deadbolt locks, security alarm, big dog, etc) keeps decreasing the likelihood of you becoming a victim.
- Mothrog, on 11/06/2007, -0/+1They could probably defeat your lock in less time by simply kicking in the door or breaking the glass in the door and reaching in to unlock the door. Few criminals actually take the time to pick a lock.

- JT114881, on 11/11/2007, -6/+34Not very impressive because he is using a gun.
- Charlotte_Web, on 11/06/2007, -3/+13I didn't know thieves were graded on style.
Wow, learn something new every day... - TheDragon, on 11/10/2007, -1/+13I don't think the purpose of the video is to display talent. I see the purpose of the video as showing how ineffective most locks are.
- Charlotte_Web, on 11/06/2007, -3/+13I didn't know thieves were graded on style.
- brentinkc, on 11/10/2007, -3/+45But, can he do it while locked in a room with only a gum wrapper, a paper clip, three tablespoons of baking soda, and a 1984 playboy magazine?

- ventralnet, on 11/06/2007, -1/+5Where do you pick up one of those magic guns
- LaueOfficer, on 11/05/2007, -1/+2google has a great deal on them.
- lazerus9, on 11/06/2007, -4/+1They keep the guns locked-up!
- LeRenard, on 11/05/2007, -0/+1at your local police evidence locker.
- glynng, on 11/07/2007, -0/+0you can get lock pick guns for $49.95 at http://www.lockpickshop.com/LAT-17.html
- sys9five, on 11/11/2007, -6/+47Using a pick gun is not picking a lock...you are basically raking it. Do it with actual picks and I will be impressed...Anybody can use a pick gun.
- weeeezzll, on 11/10/2007, -6/+2Pick guns were designed for law enforcement so that they could pick locks with minimal training. This guy sucks big floppy donkey dicks!
Hahahahhaa! - haleym, on 11/10/2007, -2/+33I think you're missing the point... would you really care how someone had picked the lock when they broke into your house and stole your brand-new 40" plasma? The video wasn't meant to show off someone's skill, it was meant to demonstrate that locks don't provide a lot of real security. Anyone with the right intent and the right tool can break through them quite quickly (the fact that 'anybody can use a pick gun' just further proves that point).
- cawpin, on 11/10/2007, -2/+3I wouldn't really care how they got into my house. I'd be more worried about cleaning them up after they met Mr. 12 Gauge lock pick.
- weeeezzll, on 11/10/2007, -6/+2Pick guns were designed for law enforcement so that they could pick locks with minimal training. This guy sucks big floppy donkey dicks!
- Kn1ghtmare, on 11/08/2007, -13/+1The second lock made me think that this was edited and fake. Not 100% sure, but it sure looks like there was a jump there.
- JenadaeXX, on 11/06/2007, -0/+6Security has always and will always be a false feeling.
- Flashtone, on 11/06/2007, -2/+24you've earned one Schrute Buck.
- sublimemm, on 11/05/2007, -0/+2only 10000000000 more Schrute Bucks and you have earned yourself a 15 minute paid break.
- SicSevens, on 11/06/2007, -2/+4I can pick the same lock 8 times in 80 seconds, does that make me cool enough to get get front paged, or do I need a crappy techno loop in the background?
- desistere, on 11/06/2007, -0/+11If you're going to use a gun, you might as well use bullets.
- m3t00, on 11/06/2007, -0/+4pair of bolt cutters would have made less noise
- RoloTomasie, on 11/06/2007, -1/+6http://www.lockpickshop.com/LAT-17.html
Look at the description- who the product was originally intended for.- adraft, on 11/05/2007, -0/+1Yeah you have less time to flush the coke when they can rake the pins and get in.
- Sparkyy, on 11/06/2007, -4/+1Hurray, he has a pick gun! When the police or anyone with any experience at locks will look inside, they will see it destroyed cause of the pick gun making it not really an stealthy hack. Buried!
- madskjaer, on 11/06/2007, -0/+6Meh... A pick gun. He could've used a regular gun as well. Not very impressive.
- mwalker05, on 11/06/2007, -0/+3yea i bet i could pick those locks in 8 seconds if i used a shotgun or a plasma cutter.
- adraft, on 11/05/2007, -0/+1Shotgun with a deer slug, MythBusters FTW
- jamesallen74, on 11/11/2007, -9/+7Speaking of picking locks...true story. A lady I work with left for work one day. After 5 minutes of driving to work, she realized she forgot something at home. She turned around and went back home to get it. She walked in her house and there were 4 men in black suits (seriously). Turns out they were Secret Service. Bush was paying a surprise visit to the family across the street here in Cincinnati, the parents of Matt Maupin, still-missing/POW soldier over in Iraq. She asked the Secret Service guys if it was legal to break into her home like they did and they said "Oh yes, for the security of the Pres of the United States, you better believe it is". They picked her front door like it was a play house. Not only did they break in but they staked her and her neighbors out to learn their schedules.
- cawpin, on 11/13/2007, -7/+8You are a retard.
- jamesallen74, on 11/06/2007, -2/+3So you wouldn't be shocked if this happened to someone you know?
- adraft, on 11/05/2007, -1/+2I can rationally understand why the Secret Service had to do that. They have to have the area secured no matter what, and warning ahead of time would only give a threat time to adjust and make a new plan.
That is, of course, unless this was totally made up as an anti-Bush story.
- cawpin, on 11/13/2007, -7/+8You are a retard.
- InContrast, on 11/09/2007, -1/+27Note: If you're caught with a lock picking gun, it's considered a "burglary tool"... So, before you start bitching about how you have rights.
He has a tension wrench and a pick gun (as others have said)... Not very impressive. He probably took a lock smith course at his local community college. However, it does show how any idiot with $50, a couple free days and screwdriver can break most padlocks... Usually, you'll get taught how to break the the combo locks, too.
Stealing ***** from people/residential is for absolute douches... go break into government stuff. Everyone else is working just as hard as you, getting their paycheque, just trying to make it by. So, if you are planning on breaking into something, pick a government institution or big business (small businesses are hard working most of the time, too).- Sogui, on 11/05/2007, -0/+1Yea because your much more likely to get away with burglary if you do it at a big business or government building...
Unless of course you were being clever and trying to encourage the idiots out there to do it and get themselves caught.
- Sogui, on 11/05/2007, -0/+1Yea because your much more likely to get away with burglary if you do it at a big business or government building...
- natastna2, on 11/05/2007, -0/+2That is not in any way impressive. He's just raking the pins on worn out locks. After picking a lock regularly you learn which pins are stiffer and which should be picked first. Even without the pick gun this still wouldn't be very impressive.
- FrankButcher, on 11/06/2007, -0/+3Pfft, who needs a pick gun, I just use a crowbar and a bit of elbow grease.
- LeRenard, on 11/06/2007, -0/+7I worked at a storage company and opened 12 locks in a minute or two with bolt-cutters. Using a pick-gun is just about the same thing.
- catylist, on 11/13/2007, -1/+1not quite you no body noes that you opened the lock if you lock it again
- chris2324, on 11/06/2007, -0/+5it's not in 80 seconds he cut of frames. when he would lift up the lock his hands would jump... he was cutting out signal frames of so....ass!
- heffae, on 11/06/2007, -0/+5I'm not sure the point was to be impressed with his skill just impressed with how easy it is to defeat a pad lock. "Locks keep honest people honest"
- WestN, on 11/05/2007, -0/+2hmm... that lock looks familiar.. ooh, that's the one i use for the locker in school
- MooD2, on 11/05/2007, -0/+1"High security"... Try that with proper locks like Abloy.
- nskinn, on 11/06/2007, -0/+1 Abloy padlocks cost $70 each.

- rowlodge, on 11/05/2007, -0/+1i used to pick my sisters big bike lock with a large bobby pin, sometimes just took a few seconds, then return it before she got home.
- m3t00, on 11/05/2007, -0/+3I used to pick your sister's lock too!
- mydiggname, on 11/06/2007, -1/+1I always liked the beer can method myself...:)
I am not affiliated with this site btw...
http://www.i-hacked.com/content/view/189/48/- nskinn, on 11/06/2007, -0/+1A screwdriver will pry one of those combo Masterlocks open in one second.
- goodkidyo, on 11/06/2007, -0/+1I disagree with the title.
