- nowsamsara, on 07/18/2008, -0/+5It's a challenge for me to focus naturally so I have had to engage in specific exercises for a few years. I agree that it produces many benefits! What I appreciate in this article, however, are the simple 1, 2, 3 lay out specifically detailing what to do and what is expected. I have printed *these* exercises out in order to add them to my curriculum -along with my meditation.
Meditation, for me, also is a discipline that I believe has helped me with daily focus.- aksn1p3r, on 07/18/2008, -0/+1My meditation involves spacing out on the bed, whilst imagining great content for articles and creative ways of deploying it.
- BennyGreenberg, on 07/18/2008, -0/+1does it work?

- Lynx55, on 07/19/2008, -0/+4I use something similar to this to control pain. In biofeedback we learned how to reduce our blood pressure by focus. I can now, while on the type of blood pressure monitors used in the hospital, focus on the numbers and actually reduce my own blood pressure. Oddly though, I have low pressure, so don't use it for that...but it has come in handy when I am having trouble focusing. Very useful. Good article.

- tasine, on 07/19/2008, -0/+2Call me crazy, but I have won games that I credit to concentration, positive power thinking, focus, determination, call it what you will. I do believe it works far beyond what most people give it credit for. I also believe you become what you think. This can be amazing. One can think one's self happy, or ill, or miserable. It's up to us to choose what we want to be. I can't go so far as to tout focus as a cure for a serious illness, but I do believe it helps. I saw a doctor one time cancel a patient's surgery because the patient was so sure he would die during surgery. I had great respect for that doctor to do that..I think he had insights that were correct.
- livelife365, on 07/19/2008, -0/+2great advice, worth the effort...keep 'em coming.
- Arkwife, on 07/21/2008, -0/+1Just reading the article took concentration and focus, as I'm suffering a bout of flu. But paying attention to the words and making sure that I wasn't moving any other body parts unnecessarily already helped in being able to read and comprehend the article. Great advice :-)
