Don't Drink and Drive
jamesrick.com — If you drink and drive then think 5 times before you do so, because it could not kill you but end you in a situation worst than being dead.

- decepticrat, on 06/13/2008, -1/+4I can't imagine the stupidity that goes into someone deciding that drinking and driving is still a GOOD idea in this day and age (or ever was, for that matter). I have a hard enough time keeping myself from getting killed drinking and walking down the block, let alone behind the wheel of a ton of steel traveling at 60 miles an hour.
- louiebaur, on 06/13/2008, -2/+2Man oh man this is some scary stuff last year next to my house there used to live this girl Sherry and she experienced almost something similar and i stopped drinking after that day, really touching..
- tarun27, on 06/13/2008, -1/+1Every single person should read this article and should learn something from it. I mean how many accidents happen in a year and almost all of them are because of drunk driving, when will people learn, if they don care about their life at least care about other people life, last year someone killed a 12 year old kid around my city bcoz of drunk driving.
- DeathWish808, on 06/13/2008, -0/+1Ummm, anybody that doesn't care about their own life certainly isn't going to care about someone else's.
- hiscity, on 06/13/2008, -1/+2I tracked Jacqui for years after the incident since she's such a brave young lady. Lost track of her and her dad as they moved around pursuing different specialists. Can't help but think she'd be a great candidate for a face transplant. Did a web search just a bit ago and found:

- DeathWish808, on 06/13/2008, -1/+4I saw this a year or few ago and it certainly never loses it's impact. He might get out when he's 28 and still have to live with what he did, but that's way easier than to have to go through what she has and will. Such a shame.
- cashman57, on 06/13/2008, -1/+2One of my classmates was killed by a drunk driver. The drunk got out in six years and started drinking again the day his parole ended.
Some people never learn, no matter how bad they screw up. - whitezombie420, on 06/13/2008, -1/+3blah blah blah, ***** happens to good people sometimes. its unfortunate but it wont keep some one whos going to drive drunk from doing so. no matter how many ad campaigns people waste money on it wont stop stupid people from doing stupid *****. just like pics of black lungs wont keep people from smoking.
- ProjectGSX, on 06/13/2008, -0/+1When I was in high school, I was hit head on by a drunk student from my own school. I got pretty lucky. Some disk and nerve damage in my back but thats about it. This story is so tragic.
- GalacticRerun, on 06/13/2008, -0/+2The worst thing is probably the idiots who drink/use a phone while driving and see something like this and say "It hasn't happened to me - so I'm okay" as if people go ruining people's lives over and over again. As if there's no such thing as a first time.
This is a heartbreaking story. Like DeathWish808 says, it never loses its impact. - MoNSt3r, on 06/13/2008, -0/+1These things will never change, I mean there are laws and everything but we still get these accidents why? because people will never change and this will continue, i feel sad about all this but this is life.
- fudged71, on 06/14/2008, -0/+1Dugg up for those who have lost friends and family to stupidity on their part, or somebody else's
- aidwiz, on 06/14/2008, -0/+1best post I've read this whole week. very touching indeed.
